need your suggestions mga sis...
we have 3 whole days ng sis ko for our trip in bacolod (actually 3 days and 4 nights kami) based from research parang 2 days is enough na for bacolod.. i want to choose either go to guimaras or iloilo? pero ayoko mag-ala amazing race kasi medyo di kasing sanay ko magmadali yun sis ko. dami kasi nya magmake up. lol.

well iloilo city is much bigger than bacolod. if Bacolod has mambukal, iloilo naman has guimaras. food trip heaven ang Iloilo sis. I suggest you go boating in guimaras for 1 whole day. then in the evening you start food-tripping na in Iloilo and continue to do so the following day. yan kung sa city ka lang. if you want leisure driving, from the city go south to villa, oton, tigbauan, guimbal, miagao and all the way to San Joaquin. swim at tiolas in San Joaquin. scenic ang view tsaka may mga rock formations na scenic din.

Last long weekend, from bora we headed to iloilo via antique. the view is really scenic - mountain view on our left and coastal view on our right. we're supposed to go to guimaras kaso ginabi na kami ng dating sa Iloilo. we checked in at Smallville 21 hotel and had our dinner at afrique's. then the following day, we heard mass at ateneo's santa maria parish then had a sumptuous seafood lunch at breakthrough's before heading for the airport. prior to that, we had coffee and snacks at Starbucks in robinson's mall and we bought pasalubong at biscocho haus in sm city and then some at jd bake shop at the airport.  :)

I hope Guimaras is still ok after the storm. Kasi some areas in Panay Island are damaged. :(

Guimaras is ok. Walang reported na grabeng damage or whatsoever. Sa northern part lang talaga yung matindi ang damage.

some coastal towns lang of the northern province of Iloilo are affected. iloilo city and guimaras are spared from Yolanda's wrath.

Will be in Iloilo on Jan 16-19. Sayang napaaga for the Dinagyang Festival. Which is much better na unahin kong i-tour Iloilo-Guimaras or Guimaras-Iloilo? I think I will allot one day for Iloilo and one day for Guimaras. Though may pagiistayan naman kami sa Iloilo kaya lang malayo daw from airport I think 3 hours drive pa. I texted Gerald per the recommendations that I read here in GT. He quoted me 1200, tricycle ride, with free tour guide and photographer na daw. Sabi ni Gerald kaya daw ito ng half day. Below are the places na pwede puntahan:
-Balaan bukid
-Smallest Plaza
-Over looking sa Iloilo
-Adventure Park
-Museum de Guimaras
-Pitstop
-Mango Trade Fare
-Pasalubong Center
-Mango Plantation
-Trappist Monastery
-Valle Verde Mountain Resort
-Camp Alfredo
-Alubihod Beach
-Guisi Light House
-Guisi Beach

Island hopping first hour 500 succeeding 150. He said can cover 2-3 hours:
-SEAFDEC
-Ave Maria Cave and Island
-Baras Cave and Beach
-Natago Beach Resort
-Lamurawan Island

I also asked him if the 1200 includes sundo and hatid from port. He said yes but dapat within the day din.

^comprehensive ang binigay na itinerary sis. Ok na ok to. Go to guimaras first sis. At least within iloilo lang kayo on the day of your return to manila. hindi ka pa magagahol sa oras.

Hello there!

Husband and I are bound for Iloilo this coming thursday until monday (5 days, 4 nights kami). At present, we are researching for places to visit. We also plan to go into other islands (like Higantes Island). Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Hi sis!

Isla Gigantes, Guimaras. You can go to Miag-ao. Or proceed to Antique if you like.

Hello sis bleudskymd,

Sa isla gigantes kasi is mauubos yung time mo. And time pressure kasi hindi ka dapat maiwan ng boat or van etc.

I would suggest sa 5d/4N is Iloilo-Bacolod-Guimaras.

First day- derecho na kayo sa bacolod.
Go to silay and visit ancestral houses like balay negrense, holifena ancestral house etc.
Go to THE RUINS. Much better if dinner kasi napakaromantic ng place with the lights and all.
Overnight sa Bacolod.
The next day, ikot ikot kayo sa Bacolod. Dont forget Calea Cakes and Aidas Manukan. More ikot sa bacolod .

Second day.
Go to Mambukal Spring Resort. :)
Back to City ng hapon.

Third Day
Back to iloilo. loilo church tour
Jaro Church, Molo Church, don tforget to try Tatoys Manukan, Netongs Batchuyan at Lapaz Market and the infamous Madge Cafe.
Miag-ao for me is really really far.
Try dining at Smallville ang dami super na kainan.

Fourth day
Go to guimaras. Tour sa Smallezt Plaza, Trappist MOnastery for pasalubong, Gusi Lighthouse, eat at the Pitstop for Mango Pizza yummeeeh! Check in at raymen ang suggestion ko. They have nice cottages and masarap ang food sa resto nila.

Fifth day.
Chill. BAck to city off to manila.

Sis, not sure kasi laid back trip and chill lang ang trip niyo. Take time to visit each places yung tipong hindi niyo minamadali ang lakad. :)

I can suggest the tryk driver na nag assist samin sa guimaras. :)

Raymen is a bit crowded for me especially during summer. There are other beautiful and more peaceful resorts in Guimaras like Cabaling Beach Resort, Nature's Eye Resort, Villa Igang and Magic Island.
