btw, for those who had an appointment at 0630h, at what time ka dpat nasa embassy? any idea at what time sila nagbubukas?

I think there's a small fine print at the appointment letter that you have to be at the embassy 45mins to one hour (something like that) before your appointment time.

hi sissies, for US visa application, would you suggest to apply through a travel agency or DIY pwede na since parang the same din naman right? me and hubby are planning to apply for a visa soon, mas ako talaga may gusto than him. kinakabahan daw kasi siya. lol. though i think mas strong naman yung docs and proofs niya than me. may properties siya under his name, yung family business niya nakapangalan sa kanya. bank acct wala din magiging problema. sa side ko naman, ako tong housewife lang. though i have enough savings naman sa bank, those were the monetary gifts or angpaos we got on our last wedding plus yung natira kong savings after the wedding, sa properties naman, meron ako pero naka name siya samin magkakapatid.

Hi mga sis. I had a US visa which expired earlier this year. I went to California in 2007 (to 2008, since we were there Dec-Jan hehe). My mom got her visa renewed in Qatar (PR siya dun), then sabi niya pwede na niya ipapouch yung saming 3 (kids).

My problem is this, contractual ako ngayon til December lang contract. Malaki ba ang chances na ma-deny ako ng visa? Better to wait ba til I renew my contract or find a permanent job?

andee_gurl, you can leave an authorization letter to your helper/yaya and a photocopy of your ID. My brother, parents and I renewed our visas hiwalay hiwalay and we all just left our maid a letter and 2go gave the passport naman to her.

Hello sisses!! I have submitted our DS-160 application form online and received a confirmation plus appointment schedule on October 30 2012, 6:30am. I will be traveling with my mom (the principal applicant) and dad. I was the one who filled out the application forms. As I was reviewing the app form of my mom, I saw that I entered a wrong surname for my grandma's name. Instead of my grandma's surname, I accidentally typed in my mom's surname.  I've read that no changes can be made online anymore. Will this erroneous entry create any problems? What is the appropriate thing to do? I am so anxious right now huhuhu  i need some advice here. TIA <3

Sis nageinna, apply on your own na lang. IMO the agency is there to give you guidance sa pag apply but not necessarily give you bigger chances in getting approved of a US visa. Magbasa ka lang dito sa GT marami ka na makukuhang tips, libre pa. Sa documents madali lang naman kumuha and like what mom_g said the process is pretty straight forward. :-)

this is for male applicants lang, i thought before na random yun questions kasi when i filled out my application, di naman pina-state previous travels. then one of the sisses confirmed kasi yun sa hubby niya meron pero yung kanya wala.

i tried filling out the ds160 form online, they're asking kung kelan yung travel dates? wala pa akong definite date to travel, ok lang ba kahit maglagay ako ng date kahit not sure pa? hindi kasi ata siya pwede ileave na blank?

^yes, kahit ano date lang ilagay mo... safe to state mga 2-3 weeks lang

^Usually they will ask naman sis if you have traveled outside the Philippines. He asked me that question when I applied.
