@bituin, it's almost sure na approved pag VRP.  I've heard of one though, who was denied a visa kahit VRP  'coz she stayed for 6 months in the US during one of her visits.   

i think they are particular about the duration of the last stays in the US.  we were asked about our last US visit and the longest we were there. 

my family (separate interview) was also asked the same thing....others, have been asked about their other visits in other countries.

Mga sis, ganyan talaga sila. When you stayed in the US say 5, let alone 6 months, mahihirapan ka sa renewal. Happened to my husband before. The consul won't believe him na he didn't work. That was year 2001. When he reapplied last 2003, he was again given a 10-yr Multiple Entry Visa but was told by the consul to never stay in the US again that long.

i really don't see the point of giving us a 6-month long stay in the US and not give us a chance to maximize it. Edi sana mga 3 to 4 months na lang binigay nila? As if naman ang mura nang airfare going there. *just saying*

i agree. same with passport validity eventhough you're only traveling for 2 weeks kelangan atleast 6 months valid yung passport. 

Anyway, I also stayed in the US for 6 months and when I reapplied for my new visa the consul asked me 3 times why I stayed that long. Nire-rephrase lang nya yung questions just to make sure I have a consistent answer. I was still given 10yrs multiple after the interview but no stern warnings and this was 4 yrs ago.

Hello po ask ko lang sana my sumagot. Plano ko po kasi mag apply ng u.s tourist visa sa interview ba dapat pag nag ask sila ng income or how much money meron ako need ba dapat dala ko? Pera or bank book? Or business permit kung my business ako. Or hnd na kailangan dalin dhl tinatanong lang? Sana po my sumagot dun pa sa my experience na thanks po

^you need to show all -- bank book, business registration, titles of properties owned. dapat ready ka magpakita ng proof na meron kang pang gastos

^^yup sis.. minsan di hinihingi minsan oo. it's always better to be prepared diba? mahirap yung magsasabi ka ng ganito ganyan tapos hingan ka nila ng proof or documents for that wala ka maipapakita right away. automatic they'll doubt you na and denied na yun which we don't want diba? sayang naman yung fee, oras at effort.

Sis may chance kaya kami ng mommy ko na makakuha ng tourist visa? We are planning to visit my lolo and lola sa SFO. Yung mom ko nurse pero wala sya work ngayon tapos ako college student. Yung tita ko mgsponsor samin. Ano ba kaylangan namin ipakita to prove na may magsponsor samin sa lahat ng expenses. 1st and only travel namin to other country sa HK.

more than your tita being able to shoulder the expense, you and your mom should prove that you will return to the Philippines. Mas important yun in your mom's case. Is she still together with your dad? Do you have siblings?-   these things could establish her ties here in the Philippines aside from land titles etc. Ikaw, you can show your enrollment certificate.

My dad is working in UAE and my two brothers are still in school. Tita, lolo and lola ko lang nasa US. Ano yung ipapakita namin para sa sponsorship?

I got my US visa already! ang bilis ah.. nung monday lang yung appointment ko nadeliver na today. =) Buti na lang hindi ako na question sa marital status ko hehe

bitt3rswit, I was just about to send you a PM. Congratulations!!!  I guess they don't have a date base for that affidavit of legal capacity to marry after all. Good news for me too. Going to the US this December. We flew together before but I pretended I was traveling alone. I guess I'll do that again.

OT: Nag CFO ka na ba?

^Thanks! Ang sabi kasi ng kausap ko sa embassy na its our own discretion na daw if we want to declare single or married as long as we have supporting documents. I did not bring my marriage contract with me at that time so I don't have any proof that I am already married.

Hindi ako nag CFO kasi valid pa naman Philippine passport ko until 2014. If I will renew my passport, that is the time I will get the CFO kasi isa sa requirement yun if I want to use my husband's surname on my passport. =)

Ikaw sis nag CFO ka na? Parang mag aattend lang ng seminar right?

bitte3rswit, I'm thinking nga of not adding my husband's last name yet since it would be super hassle. 2014 pa din naman yung expiration ng passport ko. Parang ang hassle eh.

    In general, affidavits of financial support will be of little value to an applicant (exception: a student visa application must have an affidavit of financial support). The affidavit of support is a requirement only for immigrant visas. The interviewing officer is less concerned about how the applicant will be supported during his/her stay in the United States than in whether s/he has reasons to return home.
    Letters of invitation (except for business travel).
    Purchase of airline ticket. This should not be made until a visa has been issued and the applicant is in receipt of the passport with the visa in it.


Again, what you have to prove is that you will go back to Manila.

Just scheduled our appointment yesterday. May nakita pa akong Oct 2, 4 and 5. The day before kukunin ko na dapat yung Oct 22 pero pinagpaliban ko muna kaya swerte talaga na pag check ko ulit meron na open for next week. Naka schedule na kami for Oct 2, 7:30AM

for applying online dun sa receipt num should it be the confirmation num or reference num of the online payment? thanks..

passport number is the receipt number. correct me if I'm wrong please
