^not necessarily well-planned. tentatives dates and tentative plans will do. consulate will not force you to be in the us naman asap eh.

ATM for my payroll and debit card lang meron ako pero wala pa talaga akong ipon. Do I still need to show that sa interview or sabihin ko nalang wala akong ipon.

^ are you applying for a tourist visa for tour or visit relatives? sis, isa sa mga documents kase yung financial capability mo eh. syempre you're on a tour tapos they will ask sino magprovide ng expenses mo. if self-finance, then you need to prove na you have enough finances eh. ticket and hotel pa lang pricey na. tapes food and other expenses mo pa.

^Tourist visa po to spend Thanksgiving with my boyfriend and his family. May maiipon naman ako till the interview, but it won't be that big. Makakaipon ako ng pocket money by the time malapit na yung trip.

^then you might want to ask na lang an invitation letter from your bf or his family, incase lang na yung natapatan mong consul eh strict. tapes they will ask you about your bf's details din. by the way, prove to them na you don't have to stay there than you really intend to. like yung sa work mo. goodluck sis. ;)

@nightsky, just to be safe, prepare a bank certificate. you can borrow money from your parents just for a few days and ask your bank for a certificate. kung ano laman ng account mo that day, yun ang mag-rereflect.

rarely naman naga-ask ng financial docs mga consul ngayon but just the same, it pays to be prepared, di ba?

^^^hi sis nightsky, this is not to discourage you ha but to prepare you. maganda if mapoprove mo talaga na uuwi ka. i have a friend who has an american bf, denied agad. :( may bond pa sya with her work ha and sinabihan sya ng consul na kayang kaya bayaran ng bf nya yung bond with the company. her boyfriend works for the military kasi. she wants to defend pa nga sana na mawawala sa service yung bf nya if pinagstay sya sa america illegally kaso parang nabadtrip na daw sya so ayun tinaggap nya na lang na denied sya.

Nung nag-usap nga kami sabi ko I'll try to get the visa kasi we promised na pag nakabisita siya, ako naman daw yung mag-visit kahit two weeks, kagaya ng stay niya dito. Everything's against me nga ata eh (Single, 25, no properties or huge savings). I do have a job to return to though, and all my immediate family members are here. Isang uncle nakatira sa Illinois with his family. Wala talaga akong balak mag-stay dun for good kasi gusto ko yung trabaho ko, and kakagraduate niya lang ng college and he's still living with his parents.

Pero thank you for the advice and all the help mga sis. I'll share my experience after nung interview.

^ mabilis lang makakuha ng bank statements/certificate. as in hihintayin mo lang yun sa bank pagpunta mo to request for it. ipriprint at pipirmahan lang naman nila yun.

share ko lang,

my hubby's uncle who is  a senior citizen na is a widower.
Last year he married a very young lady, as in nasa mid 20's lang yung girl.

Mga anak ni uncle from first marriage, lahat nasa USA, and back then nung buhay pa si auntie, pabalik balik na sila sa USA - no problem naman and up to now may visa pa si uncle.

Now he wanted to go visit USA with his new young wife.

Uncle even hired a consultant to help the young wife process and get tips to secure a visa.

The Young wife was just asked "is your husband still strong?" and "why a big age gap between the two of them".

So sad, she was denied.

And they wanted to re-apply , kasi nga uncle's children wants him to visit USA again, while kaya nya pa, but uncle does not want to leave without the young wife.

no work, not studying.
tapos parang ang tingin pa is marriage for convenience lang ang nangyari sa kanila.

so ano naman ang chances nya di ba?

^they really ask that personal stuffs? parang too personal na ata yun or depende sa way ng pagtatanong siguro.. yeah, it seems tingin ng consul the marriage is not because of love. sad but that's what most will think diba. baka they think na if ever while in USA eh may masamang mangyari kay uncle mo (knock on wood), wife will overstay na dun. i think chance is very low talaga unless she got a job which is somewhat stable and ipon diba, then she can re-apply.

Even though when it comes to finances, never a problem, kasi Uncle can really provide, he has more than enough money and the properties, eh since married na sila, so conjugal property na yun.

sabi ko nga kay cousin, kasi she really wanted na makapasyal na ulit si uncle dun, pwede lang i-try ng i-try ni young wife, pero sabi ko if no new documents or changes to show, most likely ma de deny lang ulit di ba?

Hi Sisses! These past few days, nag dredream ako mag punta ng US together with my husband. Gusto ko lang makarating sa US for visit/tour! Yun lang talaga ang purpose ko, we are contented na dito sa Pilipinas.

We are both working from homes - for American clients.
We have our own small business - which is under sa name ng brother ni hubby. So hindi namen to pede sabihing aming property UNLESS ililipat sa pangalan nya.
Relatives in the US - my husband has 2 titas and 1 cousin in the US and I have 1 naman. Pede sila mag send ng invitation if needed.

Di pa naman ako nag pla plan to apply anytime soon pero at least di ba malaman ko ano ba ang dapat namen i prep in case balak na namen mag travel!

Thanks in advance!

^i didn't apply in Manila, as i am residing in HK, but i'm a Philippine passport holder. so i don't know kung may advantage ba yung paging resident ko sa HK. but when i applied wala along work, i just quit from my previous work siguro half-year ago by that time. they asked for my latest 3 months bank statement, tinignan lang di nila kinuha. but i have savings and under my name lang din, since i never changed into married name. i told them i have relatives sa usa. 2 uncles and 1 aunt sa dad's side and 1 aunt sa mom's side. they didn't ask for their names, but asked where sila sa usa. my aunt from my mom i know exactly where in new york kasi close kami, but from my father's side, not really close so i told them not really sure san exactly, they asked why, sabi not really close with them never ko pa nag sila nakita since they're in use for a long time na di rin ata nila ako nakita maski nung baby. natawa yung consul tapos ask di daw ba sila umuuwi for holidays or reunion, sabi ko "nope, family issues" ayaw ko naman mag-elaborate dun diba.  ;D

they also asked since i was unemployed by that time na may properties daw ba kami or ako? luckily, i have properties and businesses sa pinas, but sa hk wala aside from the house na nakapangalan sa amin ni hubby na naka-mortgage loan. they asked me pals how often ako umuuwi pinas, i old them every month.

ayun, granted naman. you just really have to prove them na kailangan mong bumalik sa pinas for a reason.
