OMG! I re-scheduled our appointment from August 14 to June 28! Thanks so much iflipcess for the update! If not for you hindi ako magca-cancel previous appointment! May June 29 and July 5,6,12,13,16,17,19 and 20 pa as of 3:15pm today.

^yes sis, kung nag-overstay ka before or minsan kahit 5-6 months yung stay mo on a tourist visa.  i know of someone who was told na wala naman daw nagbabakasyon ng ganun katagal.

pano kung hindi 2 weeks lang kami nagstay sa US? Once palang ako nakapunta dun. pwede kaya yun na madeny ako?

brother ko once lang din nakapunta using his 10 year multiple. He stayed for a month or maybe 6  weeks pa nga. He got another 10 year multiple when he renewed his visa.

ang galing naman, ang swerte ng bro mo sis. pero gaano katagal bago siya nagrenew? kasi yung sa akin, 2 years ago pa siya nag-expire

7 months after his visa expired he applied for renewal under the VRP program. Medyo madami ngang questions kasi he was turning 21 in a few days of his interview.

btw, sa interview pag tinanong ba ng consul 'how much do you earn / how much is your salary' basic pay lang ba isasagot or kasama pati yung mga non taxable allowances, etc? tia!

^better to state what was in your certificate of employment or ITR para just in case mag-ask ng proof, pareho lang.

Mikage, when my mother was asked, the consul specifically asked: "Whats your monthly income minus taxes?".

sdee, faster, I dont think so. Easier, maybe. Still you have to prove na babalik ako ni hubby mo sa pinas at hindi kayo mag honeymoon there for years. hehe

Your purpose of going to the US doesn't matter with the consuls.  All they care about is that you have enough reason to go back to your home country.

My dad went for renewal yesterday. More than one year expired na visa niya. He woke up early to fix ALL the documents needed. He was only asked two questions, who is he visiting and how long will he stay. Less than one minute interview lang daw and they did not check his documents at all. Passport should arrive in a week. Renewal is easy breezy.

Anyone here who printed their confirmation letter in ink jet printer and wala naman naging problem? May nabasa kasi ako na dapat laser printer para mabasa mabuti yung barcode. Sana someone can react to this. Thanks.

I've always used an inkjet printer and haven't had any problems. I usually park in front of Starbucks across the embassy and walk from there.

I renewed last May, and they did not ask me any questions.. This was under the VRP. Madali if you qualify for VRP, my sister also renewed her Visa with ease.

a few years back my mom applied for her US visa. She was asked one question lang daw. "What will be the purpose of her visit?" Sabi niya "to visit my son." She was asked to go to another window, kaya akala niya dun itutuloy interview. Yun pala granted na visa niya. 10 year multiple entry. Now, di niya na kailangan to go thru that again since she's canadian na . Kaya I think na gut feel din talaga ng consul ang nagdedecide if bibigyan ng visa or not. Kasi after nun half sister ko naman and her family ang nagtry kumuha ng visa. Denied. Eh yun ang mayaman sa amin Plus buong pamilya niya nakapagtravel na sa hk, singapore and canada prior to getting a US visa. I guess the consul didn't like my sis :)Luckily di na rin niya kailangan to get a visa kasi canadian citizen na rin silang lahat. Ako na lang ang hindi
