yesterday, i was interviewed. around 8am nainterview na ko. Well i was deney.
Purpose of travel: pleasure and to visit my sister
are you employed: no i have a business a boutique
how long is your bussiness:  6 years
have you ever been travel: yes, been to hongkong and singapore

that's all denied. 2nd time. nakakaiyak talaga kase its really unfair. you have  a good intention tapos ganun di ba.

^correct me if i'm wrong, pero wala namang ine-specify how soon you can apply again. but sometimes they will ask you kasi what changed sa circumstances mo in between interviews to show your strong ties here in the philippines. eh kung after a few weeks lang, medyo alanganin di ba?

but then again, meron din naman lumulusot...

hi mga sis i just got home from my VRP interview.  share ko lang yung mga questions na tinanong sa akin...

1. how long was your "longest" stay in US?
2. reason for staying that long.

mga sis....SOP ba sa VRP yung pag finger print scanning phase na to tell you that "if you dont receive a call within 2 days you got your visa"  kasi nakakabahan ako...sana approve na...okay na sign ba yon? or may ma deny pa rin...

Standard script lang nila yun. I was also told the same thing by the Russian guy consul when I had my VRP. Kasi nga wala na tayong formal interview kaya ganun linya nila. But I received my visaed passport after 3 days with my 10yr B1/B2 visa. No calls.

theflygirl: My consul was a filipina...though I saw a Russian consul since I could hear his accent from where I was standing, though not sure if he is your consul.  So far, no call yet....not that I am hoping for one...but have one more day to go...Monday...since they say its 2 days after the VRP sched...so since mine was thrusday...I would have to wait till Monday..then I can breathe on tuesday lol....

@khat sorry for the super late reply. iemailed them to have my room reserved and they replied din naman. no extra charges sis. the room comes with a tv and ref and bathroom. all rooms are for 1699.

pano pag nag stay ng more than 6months sa US, nag apply ng extension but hindi na alam kung na grant or hindi kasi umuwi na ng Manila before pa lumabas yung result?

mga sis naka sched na ako sa june 8 for my B2 interview kaso sa application diko nalagay yung middle name...ok lang ba yun...I tried ilagay thru retrieve my application kaso nung patapos na bibigyan ako ng   bagong confirmation kaya diko na tinuloy! yung nalang una? :S

hi! sorry, i just read this now. i think she got a call thru her mobile phone, the contact number she indicated in her passport.

okay, not to alarm everyone but i just want everyone to expect the worst and be ready:

i have another friend (a neighbor) who has a husband with a tourist visa who would work in the states for 5mos, then go home to manila for maybe 2mos, then return to the states to work again. lagi lang umuuwi yung husband before 6mos stay.

now the couple has 3 kids, 9yrs 7yrs 4yrs, the wife and the kids tried to apply for a tourist visa. during the interview, the consul asked what the husband din -- wife answered, businessman would stay in the US then come back home, etc. the consul looked hesitant but granted the visas.

now the worst part --- on the family's way home --- the embassy called! the consul told the wife, they reviewed their documents and sorry the visa was going to be revoked! as in mega shock itong kaibigan ko and talagang naiyak. Okay na sana binawi pa

^Malamang yan sis nakita nila yung record ng hubby nya. If you'll be strict about it and you're holding a tourist visa only hindi ka allowed mag-work maski sabihin mong casual job lang. Plus siguro naisip din nung consul if the whole family's there na what's the assurance na hindi mag-TNT sila, di ba?

bawal kasi talaga mag work. yung friend ko after college she went to the US to work. akala ko naman legal yung pag migrate nya. yun pala tourist visa hawak nya. nag over stay sya, parang 9months or more sya dun. she tried to get a working visa but since ofc assistant job lang hawak nya, di sya nabigyan ng working visa. she went home and after that di na sya nabibigyan. she's trying to get a canadian visa too, ganun din di sya nabibigyan ng tourist visa.
sana kasi kung tourist visa ang hawak, go there as a tourist lang. kasi madaming nadadamay na wala namang balak mag tnt dahil sa gawain ng ibang pinoy.

Nope sis.. you will know if approve or denied after ng interview mo mismo sa consul...the consul will tell you wether denied or not.. special case lang yung nangyari sa friend ni sis foxymom..

you can actually apply the very next day pero the schedule will vary sa available slots na they have. Also, ideally, after a month or two unless you really need to go to the US for an event or for something apart from getting a visa lang.

here in singapore super easy mag apply. They knew may pending immigrant petition ako. Nasa system  nila and they know na I had 2 visas na before (3rd visa ko na ito from them) kaya their questions were more on when I last went sa US ano agenda ko etc
