^ dalinhin mo lang yung expired passport mo kung nasan nakalagay yung US visa mo everytime mag travel ka sa US. So dala mo yung old passport with your US visa and yung valid passport mo when you travel. ganyan kasi yung ginawa ko when i went there with a new passport, tapos nasa old passport ko yung US visa ko.

^^Yes, simply travel with both current and expired passports (with the valid US visa) and you're good to go. Done it before, too.

mga sis , mas mahirap ba makakuha ng tourist visa sa US kung idedeclare mong  isa kang employed nurse dito sa Pilipinas? may mga naririnig kasi ko na nurse ka pagdududahan ka agad na ang purpose ng trip mo ay humanap ng trabaho don. kaya sabi sa kin wag ko daw i declare na nurse ako kaso paano naman yun. i dont have any plans of overstaying there.
 i have enough funds sa bank ko and I have my own house and car kaso sa ITR ko talagang mababa lang kasi nga nurse lang naman ako dito. ok lang kaya yun.

mga sis, questions lang po regarding the dress code sa interview.  Pwede bang mag dress na sleeveless and sandals? or talagang required with sleeves and close shoes? Coz I am afraid na hindi ako papasukin sa embassy if naka dress ako na walang sleeves at open sandals.  Thanks sa help in advance.  Interview ko na kasi on April 19. hehe...medyo kinakabahan.

How about yong family kayo mag aapply kasama nyo mga anak nyo pero hindi kayo kasal...reason kaya yan para ma-deny? and in the first place,puwede ba mag apply as a family kung hindi naman kasal ang couple pero kasama nila 3 kids nila.

was about to schedule my appointment tonight but there were only 3 days open in june all in 630am and the rest of the months were not available. is this possible? till 2013! or is this a glitch or something? impossible naman na fully booked till 2013. will try to see the sched again tom. hopefully will be able to schedule my interview by then! hay! good night!

that's strange. we were in the process of setting an appointment and there were still available dates in may.

^not strange at all... paminsan-minsan kasi me mga slots na nao-open kaya if you want to have earlier slots pwede mag-refresh ng mag-refresh although me nag-mention na up to a certain limit din ang pag-refresh in a day.

@irische - smart casual will suffice, sis. Ako nun naka-jeans and button-down polo and flats.

i have a friend who gave birth to her firstborn in the US under welfare. with her second, she had complications with the pregnancy so she had to give birth here. when she tried applying for her 2nd's US visa, they were denied and my friend's visa was revoked sad

^ pwede siguro sis pero pag may visa ka na. Yung kakilala ko me US visa din, nung malapit na manganak tsaka sinadyang mapunta sa US at dun nga nanganak.  Not sure lang kung ano magiging impact nun sa kanya like what sis foxymom said, sa case ng kakilala niya narevoked ang visa..

^pwede naman if you have a valid reason for staying there by the time you give birth. madaming artista na american citizen na talaga sila. yung iba naman, lahat ng anak nila dun pinanganak

i have other friends who also gave birth there who paid for their hospital bills and did not encounter any problem. medyo special itong friend ko na revoke kasi under welfare pa sya nanganak. baka naisip nung consul naisahan sila. just my theory

^ ayaw talaga nila if you give birth sa US using welfare benefits while you are on a tourist visa.  on the average, 15k yata pag normal delivery so unfair naman talaga for US taxpayers to shoulder this.

just came back from the embassy today my youngest toddler's visa was approved

happy since we were expedited from step 1 because my daughter was a toddler (3yrs old). they also expedite senior citizens. consul just asked us (husband and i) when was our last travel to the US.

Anyone see people wearing sleeveless inside the embassy during their interview?  O bawal sya?

^No offense meant, but if you don't want to worry much, why not wear a sleeved top then? There is no prescribed attire but if you are gonna market yourself, diba....just my 2 cents.
