help po mga sis..

ano dapat ang mauna.. paying ng MRV fee or fill up the DS-Form & schedule an interview appointment? how much na interview fee? sa bpi diba?

renew na ako ng US visa ko (single pa kase ko nung nabigyan ako ng multiple visa, bale married name na gamitin ko for renewing my visa, tama ba?  pwede ko diba isabay ang husband & son ko (1st time applicant sila) sa interview & pwede ko rin ba isabay mother ko sa pagrenew nya ng visa (her visa expire on June 2012) pwede ba kami as a group magpainterview? buo na rin fee ng son ko diba bale 1 yr & 7 mos na cya ngayon?

may slot pa ba april, may or june 2012?

1. Pay for the fee. Fill up the DS160. Schedule an appointment.

2. It's ok to apply together kahit the others are first timers and some are renewals. If Hindi naman VRP, lahat nman kasi for interview.

3. Since immediate family members yung minention mo (spouse, child, parent, with you as principal applicant), supposed to be pwede to schedule together. Just call the embassy na Lang to verify if pwede nga kasi your hubby & mother are inlaws. Confusing ba? Hehe.

4. Each applicant needs to pay for the fee, even babies. Exemption to the rule Lang some visa categories na Hindi pang tourist.

sabi ng friend ko, madali daw ulet ngayon mag apply ng tourist visa. parang may declare si obama or something. may alam ba kayo dito?

my friend got denied for the 2nd time last month. kasi daw lahat ng family nasa US na, wala na syang ties that bind dito except for work. nag over age kasi sya nung naissue yung immigrant visa nila kaya naiwan sya dito. baka try nya ulit next year mag apply.

I got denied too... did not even look at my docs.. no family in the US, with husband and daughter here.. well, its not meant to be coz I prayed for it.. but I think they are just choosing to deny people randomly depending upon the view of the officer.

^^ my friend prepared for her interview by travelling a lot, para makita nila na bumabalik naman sya na pilipinas tuwing umaalis sya. sa tingin ko di rin naman nila tinignan yung mga dala nyang documents, pero kung titignan nila yun more than 10 years na sa sya sa employers nya at yung bank documents nya malaki yung laman.
i know she's really sad about getting denied for the 2nd time. she misses her family in the US. yung dad nya 7 years na nyang di nakikita kasi di umuuwi dito. ako kasi once lang nagtry kumuha ng visa, approved agad kasi nung nainterview ako both ng parents ko nasa pilipinas pa. yan tuloy sa next na punta ko ng US di ko alam paano sabihin sa kanya kasi baka lalo syang malungkot.

i got denied too (tourist) but approved sa work visa... i think it depends talaga sa consul..yung gut feel nya nung una kang nakita..sa 1st interview ko medyo kinabahan ako nun eh kaya siguro naisip ng consul na parang my tinatago ako..dun sa work visa interview ko wala akong iniisip (ok lang ma deny) so parang confident yung aura ko..kaya siguro ako na approve hehe..kaya tip ko.. dapat relaxed tayo pag ini-interview

siguro kinabahan din friend ko. marunong naman sya mag english kaso pansin ko sa mga asian tours namin, ako yung palaging pinapakausap sa sa mga tour guide, hotel personnel at iba pang tao na kailangan mag english. nakakaasar din kasi nahihiya sya magsalita at ako na lang palagi. siguro kung sanay at di sya nahihiya  na makipag converse in english, mababawasan yung kaba nya makipag usap sa consul. 

kinabahan din ako nung interview ko. sa totoo lang akala ko denied ako, tinanggap ko na nung kalagitnaan ng 5 minutes (or less) na interview ko na denied na ako kasi tinanong ako about my salary. my salary is not that big. before my interview i heard another applicant was asked about his salary. he got denied even if he had a big salary and rental income to add to his regular salary.

nung visa interview ko nag bihis ako na parang may job interview ako. as in naka slacks, polo and blazer pa ako nun. mabilis din ako sumagot sa mga tanong ng consul kahit na kinakabahan ako. siguro di na masyado na halata yung kaba ko kasi mabilis ako sumagot.  i guess it helped that my work required me to talk to Americans. I used to work for a US based bank as an analyst. dun kasi di pwede yung matagal ka sumagot sa mga tanong ng kausap mo kasi pwedeng magagalit sila at baka di sila maniwala na explanation mo.

mga sis tanong lang po, madali kayang mag apply ng US visa pag nasa ibang bansa ka. let's say you're working in Cambodia and plan mo mag tour sa US pero sa ibang bansa ka mag apply ng US visa. thanks.

^^ dipende yata sa country kung san ka nagtratrabaho. sabi kasi ng friend ko from qatar madali daw maapprove pag dun mag apply ng US visa. yung mga nasa singapore din madali naapprove yung US visa nila. dipende rin siguro kung ano yung work mo sa country kung saan ka based ngayon at kung gaano ka na katagal dyan. if sa cambodia ka, ewan ko kasi feeling ko halos kalevel lang ng pilipinas yun. btw, i've been to cambodia.

May plano kasi kami ng friend ko mag travel u.s ang problema lang is walang nag-invite sa amin (hahaha I mean for travel purpose lang talaga).  Ang problema lang po talaga eh wala kaming work pareho, from our own savings yung gagamitin naming pera pero we heard na mahigpit na daw ngayon, kailangan daw kung mag tratravel kami u.s may malaking amount kami like my properties, or I mean may 4 million dapat kaming halaga ng pera sa mga bank accounts namin. Eh hindi kami ganun karichie rich na tao kundi gusto lang talaga namin magtravel sa america, yun lang po, sana mahelp niyo naman po kami diyan sa mga may experience na sa pagkuha ng travel visa kay uncle sam.


Ano po ba talaga ang mga requirements:
kailangan po ba talaga may nag-invite na kamag-anak, friends or kakilala?
or kailangan ba talagang may malaking amount sa bank account?
kailangan po ba talaga may work dito sa pinas?


kasi kung totoo po lahat yan.... nakaka lungkot naman   kasi matagal namin pinag-ipunan talaga ang america na yun college pa lang ata kami super dream na namin ang u.s huhu... sana may makahelp naman po dito about getting u.s visa. TIA kung meron po makapag share

^ sa experience ko di naman kailangan malaki yung savings kasi di naman tinignan yung bank statements/bank certificate na dala ko.  so malay ba nila kung maliit lang savings ko. wala naman silang hininging invitation letter from my sister. pero mahalaga na may work kayo dito or kung saan bansa man kyo based. kasi madaming nag tnt, inaassume nila na possible kyo mag tnt dun since wala kayong work.

nung interview ko dala ko bank certificates ko, certificate of employment, car registration (kasi yan lang nakapangalan sa akin na property), nbi clearance, yung itinerary ko sa trip (kahit na di naman ito kailangan nag dala pa din ako), notice of action ng petition ng sister ko sa akin. pero walang hiningi na document sa akin during the interview.

there's no harm in trying. try nyo lang mag apply. dipende rin kasi yun sa consul kung aapprove or idedeny nya kyo.

natapos na yung DS-Form ng sis ko at nakapag sched na siya ng interview niya, ang nilagay niya na address na pupuntahan dito is yung Address dito sa bahay namin since dito siya una diretso if ever man maka punta siya, ang concern ko lang mga sis, mag lilipat kami ng bahay this weekend but same State at City pa rin naman, does it matter ba mga sis kung hindi ko na ipapa edit/change of address dun sa DS-form niya?

oo nga sis @coldsiren madami kasing mga filipino ang nagttnt kaya tuloy may ganyang bali balita, I hope nga na di totoo kasi talagang pinag-ipunan namin yun eh tagal din namin maka ipon ng enough to travel sa bansa ni uncle sam, sana sana di kami madeny, okay lang ba yun kung small time business woman lang kami?? kasi admitted ko namang hindi kami sobrang yaman pero di naman sobrang hirap just want to travel lang talaga.

yup sis, we will try baka by next month, ano ba yung mga needs na document, sana naman di maging hassle yung dahil wala kami work pero small time business woman lang kami...   or any tips para maaprove kami tsaka ilang days ang wait para malaman yung result? sorry po ang dami kong tanong.

@khat, your sister should change her form and put your new address, dapat kasi updated yung form. if the consul ask about your old address tell her that you recently moved. kasi maari nilang makita yun sa system nila.
 
@superbubly, hindi naman pala kyo unemployed kasi business woman kyo. dala kyo ng itr, bank certs, nbi clearance, land title (if meron), at kung ano ano pang proof na may babalikan kyo dito. during may interview. siguro since may business kayo dala na din kyo ng mga photo copy ng business permit nyo and any document showing that you have a legitimate business here. yung mga dti at bir, sa nilalagay sa business establishments iphotocopy nyo kung di nyo madadala yung original. kasi kung may store kyo required yung  mga yun ipost dun, so photocopy na lang. 

para po maapprove yung visa, sana po bago kayo mag apply ay naka travel na kyo sa ibang bansa ng more than once. para may travel history na kyo. nung nag apply ako, nakita nila sa passport ko na madami nang tatak from other countries in asia. yung kapatid kong isa at college friend ko, nung 1st time sila mag apply ng visa na deny sila kasi wala pa silang travel history nun.

ang palagi kong naririnig na tanong ay kung magkano monthly income/sweldo ng applicant. hindi ko alam kung ano ba talaga gusto nilang sagot dyan. kasi may nadedeny na malaki yung monthly income.

yung result malalaman agad after the interview. pag pinaiwan yung passport, approved yun at magbabayad ka ng shipping fee. pag binigay syo  after the interview yung passport mo, denied yun.

ako honestly i always tell my sister na don't expect too much from this, base sa mga nabasa kong mga comments/advices/experiences ng mga sis natin mukhang iba-iba ata ang preferences ng mga consul,and by luck na din siguro, sabi nga ng iba kung para sayo,para sayo talaga, mahirap mag expect kasi lalo na sis ko naku teenager at student pa lang naman siya,wala pa talagang monthly income, except sa allowances niya,lol, basta Pray lang siya palagi,

@coldsiren, aist if ever eto pa lang yung first namin ng friend ko to travel outside pinas, so mukhang malabo pa kami this time, mag travel pala muna kami sa malapit lang like china, saka na lang pala pag okay na ang lahat lahat, sayang naman

@ khat, iba kasi yung type ng form na sinagutan ko. a month after nung  interview ko nag change ng way paano sagutan yung form. pero based dun sa experience ko, ilang beses ako nag edit at nag save ng form kasi may mga wrong spelling at mga maling sagot akong nalagay. mga trice ako nag edit ng form at nung ginawa ko yun may interview schedule na ako,
di ko alam kung pwede pang gawin yung ganung pag edit using the new format. iniisip ko kasi baka makita ng consul na iba na yung address mo dyan, baka mas mapadami pa yung tanong nya.  in case, di nya maedit, dapat alam nya yung old address mo  (yung nasa DS-form nya) at yung new address nyo. sana pati yung date kung kailan kyo lumipat alam nya.


@ superbubly, travel muna kayo outside the country, para tumaas yung chance nyo sa pagkuha ng visa. madami namang visa free countries in Asia. try nyo mag travel every 6 months to a different country bago kayo mag apply. maybe in 2 years you could apply for a US visa. ako kasi bago ako nag apply for the past 10 years halos every year umaalis ako ng Pilipinas. para makita ng consul na frequent traveller kyo dapat medyo madalas yung travel nyo outside our country.

off topic:  China is not a visa free country. you need a tourist visa there and to get one you need to submit your bank cert, nbi clearance, cert of employment, photocopy of company id, itr etc. mag start na lang muna kyo sa visa free countries, tapos saka kyo mag travel sa countries requiring a visa.

ito yung nakita ko sa notes ko nung interview. sorry, di ko na makita yung link kung san ko nakuha ito. kasama yan dun sa nakuha ko nung nag set ako ng visa appointment. ito pala yung mga dapat dalhin:

Originals of documents that show the applicant’s ties to the Philippines and that he or she will return to the Philippines after the visit to the U.S.: (Remember that this list of documents presents examples or suggestions of documents that might convince a consular officer that the applicant will return to the Philippines after the visit to the U.S.)
•       Documents that show your ties in your country and that your stay in the U.S. is only temporary such as:
•       Convincing documents to show that you have sufficient funds to cover all expenses in the U.S. or how those expenses will be met by another; (last 3 months of Bank and credit card statements and /or bankbook); please note that bank certification is not helpful.
•       Employment certification including salary, tenure & position.
•       Income Tax Return.
•       Leave authorization from your employer.
•       Vehicle registration, Original Land Titles, Other documents that shows your properties in your country.
•       Purpose of your trip to the U.S. (if available).

Please note: All documents must be originals. Photocopies will not be accepted.
Please note that presenting fraudulent documents, or making false or misleading statements on the application form or to the interviewing officer, can result in you becoming permanently ineligible for any type of U.S. visa.

@coldsiren super thank you sis grabe, noted yung mga tips mo. Singapore at malaysia lang nakita kong country na hindi required ang visa (correct me if I am wrong hehe) eto lang country na medyo trip namin dalawa eh hehe, grabe nawalan na kami chance ng malaman namin yung mga required sa pagkuha ng u.s visa. Sis super thank you talaga, haay ang hope ko nagbalik na ulit. thanks ng 1 million sa info  , dapat pala nung nasa college pa lang kami, dun na kami nag start magtravel grabe nagfocus kami kay uncle sam, mali pala diskarte namin tsk tsk
