i purchased a visa application from bpi last MARCH 15, 2011.  it's only now that i had time to completely fill out the online form and make an appointment online.  i know that the form is good for one year only.  i was able to make an appointment online and my scheduled interview is in may 2012 (more than a year from the date i purchased the visa application).  will i encounter any problem?  i'm not in a rush to go to the US.  i just don't want my $100 plus to go to waste.  upon arrival at the embassy, will the personnel check the date of purchase of the application?

^sis, valid pa naman yun application fee mo until march 15, 2012 kaya walang problema kahit ang nakuha mong sched for interview is may or beyond pa.

^sis, dilang anghel ka sana!  i went thru the us embassy website.  this is what is said about the fee:  "Visa application fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. No exceptions will be made to this rule.  It is valid for one year after the date of actual payment; the interview must fall within the one-year validity."

any sister (or brother) out there who are/were in the same situation as me?

mga sis, once na ma approve yung visa, kailangan ba agad na umalis?meron ba siyang parang expiration date? yung interview schedule kasi ng sis ko sa end of May siya, so tapos na yung school vacation, full na pala yung sa April, so mga October-November na ulit yung sem-break nila, and one more thing, my sis is only 19 yrs old, kailangan ba niya magdala ng legal guardian or Parent(s) sa Interview niya? TIA

Hi sisies! I have a question anybody please help its regarding Port of Entry, I was granted a US Tourist Visa last week (yay!) my question now is I said I will ne going to Mississippi, however I may just go to Chicago now, since super mahal ng fares going to Mississippi, magkakaproblem ba ako na I will be going to Chicago instead of Mississippi as Ive said during my tourist visa application? thanks please answer I really need to know Thanks in advance everyone mwah!!!

^^ hi sis! I just got my tourist visa as well, to answer your question, I believe na once approved na ang visa she can use it anytime (as long as its within the visa validity) 19 is a legal na so no need to bring a guardian anyways bawal pumasok ang mga kasama ng applicants sa embassy.

Pag kumuha po ng ng schedule online for an appointment, dapat ba bayad na ng tourist visa fee? Or pwede ba na bayaran yung fee after na lang makapag-set ng appointment online? Balak ko kasi sa September ang appointment/interview eh.

i called up the US embassy customer service and UNFORTUNATELY, the embassy will not honor my appointment anymore because the scheduled interview is already AFTER the one year validity.  oh well.  expensive lesson learned.   

i also asked about cancelling an appointment online.  if you cancel more than 3 times, you are required to buy another application even if your application is still within the one year validity.

I don't think the port of entry matters. A U.S. tourist visa is valid at any U.S. port, including Guam, which means you can come and go as you wish within the validity of your visitor visa.

Pardon me for my ignorance.. pero ang length of stay ba,malalaman mo yun pagpasok mo palang ng immigration sa US? Kung tama kasi ang naalala ko nung nagpunta kami sa europe, parang nakalagay na agad sa visa namin na valid lang siya for one month.. Sa US kaya paano naman?

^yes sis, sa port of entry mo pa malalaman.  usually 6 months naman binibigay ng mga immigration officers.

^ thanks sis. 2weeks or less lang din naman ang plan namin. So pagpasok namin,tapos nabigyan kami ng 6months, after two weeks nag exit na kami, then after three months balik nanaman sa us, another no. Of days/months nanaman ang ibibigay sa amin?
