hi everyone!

i'm michelle and i am new here in this forum. guess we are all here for a common reason hehe. well i'm getting married this december 14 and my preparations aren't done yet. my mom told me that i was so excited to get married since as early as january i made some reservations already (church, venue, caterer, etc.). then i found this. well i am not really in to forums but when i saw this one god i was so surprised and yet happy. i've been reading a lot of posts on some threads and learned a lot from you girls. thank you! so here's what i still need for my wedding and hope someone can help me with this planning and everything. i'm on a tight budget and i would appreciate suggestions re suppliers.

1. church - st. vincent de paul. manila (booked)
2. reception - ibarra's garden, manila (booked)
3. preparation - still looking at lotus hotel
4. coordinator - do i still need this? would you girls prefer an "on the day" service since i can do some of the reservations myself? any suggestions on this?
5. p/v - read a comment regarding blissful house digital, checked their works online and it was really nice and price is very reasonable. thanks myhra!
6. bridal car - a friend is offering me his white honda accord car for 1,500? should i get this already?
7. gown - check out some styles in divisoria. anybody who can recommend a shop there?
8. photobooth - yes or no?
9. wedding cake - still can't decide on this but i am thinking of getting it from sweet solutions
10. wedding rings - need cheap ones. is it practical to buy in ongpin?

i need to complete this first before third quarted of 2013 ends.

Hi sis, same here  Started out as research and the topics have helped a lot!

I'll be getting an on-the-day wedding coordinator since it's quite pricey to have a planner and I can do those naman with my fiance.

The car is affordable normal rental I've seen is about 2500 and up.

For the gown, you can check out other topics here 

It depends on you if you want to have a photobooth. For me, it's not a priority and will depend on the program.

It's ok to buy in ongpin if you know how to look at jewelry. You can also check bridal fairs like the one this weekend at Megamall since they have discounts or packages.

sis sisteract , ang alam ko ibarra's garden package already includes bridal car, cake and photobooth na so pwede mo na syang icrossed out sa list mo.

with OTD, it depends to you if you want to have one. kung meron kang trusted friends to help you with the flow of our wedding mas ok. have checklists and wedding program lang ahead to discuss with them. ako, i preferred to have one kasi gusto ko yung guests namin wala ng ibang iintindihan but mga sarili nila so that they can enjoy the wedding din. you just have to be very careful sa pagpili ng coord mo since they are the one who can help you or ruined your wedding. happy preps sis!

Sis sisteract, for rings naman try out din si Prestige Maker, very reasonable sila. They quoted me 43k for our rings sa mall 100k halos.

For bridal car naman I think mura na yung 1,500 lalo na pag kasama na gas. hehe...

For coordinator naman OTD lang sis ok na if you plan to do the booking personally of your suppliers naman. Para lang stress free yung day itself. Ako OTD lang din kinuha ko eh.

yung sa car ok sya sa price mura accord pa, mas ok kung ipahiram nya na lang sayu tutal friend mo naman.

sis astarte! yeah i just saw blissful house digital here sa forum. i called them immediately upon seeing their works to check if available sila on my wedding day which is last friday, good thing they are. my schedule is super tight at that time since my wedding is not totally planned. their shots and editing style was amazing and packages are indeed very much affordable compared to other photographers. well i totally would recommend them talaga. request nga nila that i would refer them. hehe

Sis j.adore sa Bulacan store nila eh pero they do meet ups sa Trinoman and Greenbelt. Dun ko sila meet eh to make my down payment and susukatan nila ako ng ring and also dadala ng samples and yun diamonds na gagamitin sa ring ko para makita ko.

hi sisteract, okay din tlagang may coordinator ka kahit OTD lang. you could try mark awesome as we booked him for our wedding. we got his silver package which includes emcee + OTD. cheap db?

I just answered what i think i can give suggestions/ advise to ha..

4. coordinator - i think OTD is ok na since you can do most of what a coordinator does...right? bring out the talents/skills in you na ngayon mo lang malalaman sa preps.. hahaha
6. bridal car - 1500 is quite reasonable na pero try to see more if other friends can lend you FREE or as a gift nalang hehe anyway it's just a 2-4 hrs event, we were offered by a friend to use his montero white so another savings.
7. gown - yangco building tabi tabi ang stalls...hop to every stalls till you get your ideal supplier
8. photobooth - not necessary, if you have the p/v then i think to be practical take this off..
10. wedding rings - you have to make sure sis dika maloloko sa bibilhin mo, rather have someone who know how to check rings talaga.marami kasi sa ongpin nkakapanloko.

thanks for this sis eklea! just an update lang girls, got a wedding coordinator already. hehe my friend  (used to be a classmate before in hs) offered me her services. not that expensive "on the day" coordination pero business na talaga niya. my wedding pala is december 14, 2013. i went back sa ibarra's to ask if they can include bridal car sa package pero additional na raw iyon. nway i think i have to go with my friend's offer na php 1500 for his white honda accord. puwede na siguro iyon. i also got blissful house digital as my p/v supplier na. had a meeting with them this morning and they gave me a very nice package. 25k customized wedding package for full wedding photo coverage + wedding video coverage + 2 hours photobooth! naexcite ako sa offer that i cannot hide yung excitement ko sa harap nila. hahaha blessings nga naman sa couple pag may mga ganitong promo ang suppliers. a dream wedding with a low budget. konti na lang and matatapos na ako sa preps ko. still need to fly back to dubai very very soon pa. thanks sa lahat ng ngcomment sa post ko. sana may grand meet up ang forum na ito para mameet natin ang isa't - isa. kudos to everyone!

^ Ah okies. Ako din mag down na ako sa next Sunday eh. Sabi niya naman 2 weeks daw yung production time or kung kelan ko daw gusto after that timeline. Sabi ko naman 2014 pa wedding ko but I will probably get it around April or May din.

@sisteract - no prob sis...ang sarap ng feeling kasi ng preparing for your own wedding...a big party na ikaw ang planner/coordinator/critic/Manager/accountant in one hehe sarap balik balikan kaya ienjoy niyo ang preps.super wag papastress para maging super cool at maayos lahat...in time, babalikan niyo din yung memories ng wedding preps niyo and couldn't imagine how you managed to have that kind....
