Wala pa kami venue for the wedding but I really want it to be held in Antipolo para maiba lang. Lagi na kasi tagaytay. Hehe!

Ako rin sis. During my wedding planning, di rin kami nag tagaytay kasi parang ang usual na ng tagaytay wedding, hassle pa sa guests kasi ang layo at traffic. My wedding was held in Cainta, Rizal sa Our Lady of Light tsaka sa Sitio Elena Events Place. Natuwa naman ang guests ko dahil napaka smooth ng wedding ko. Perfect daw kasi walang aberya. At siyempre super sarap ng food.

For me, when I had my wedding last sept 2011 our venue's affiliate caterer was Hizon. Masarap ang food nila and not "SO SO" and I heard nothing but praises from our guests who attended the wedding.

Hello ladies, Feb 2017 overseas bride here. Gusto ko lang pong itanong kung meron na po ba dito nakapag-ocular visit both sa Alpadi Estate and Velada estate?

I've visited Alpadi and was lucky enough that i did so while there was a wedding reception. I found it nice though ewan ko ba parang nasikipan ako dun sa lawn area (or maybe dahil hindi masyado na-maximise nung event stylist?). Looking at Velada, parang mas wide and open ang garden area nila. Any feedback will be much appreciated po. Thank you very much!

I attended a 150 pax wedding in Velada 3 weeks ago. Maliit lang din garden nila. I think you can only use it for photo ops as it's too small to be a reception area but maybe ok lang for ceremony.

had food tasting with them.  failed sila samin.  ewan ko pero parang tinipid yung food tasting namin.  like the menu says prawn something.  expected namin medyo malaki yung shrimp e sing liit ng hibi yung hinain.  then yung beef, medyo matigas.  basta hindi wow and nothing special yung food nila.  i'm not sure kung dahil food tasting lang kasi yun kaya ganun pero di ba dapat dun nga magpa-impress?

Hi sis Rajan, was able to attend a wedding in Alpadi nung 2014. For me, okay naman yung place hindi naman sya masikip. though medyo hassle papunta dun lalo na yung papasok ng venue.  malaki sya and mahabang road na puro puno yung dadaanan bago makarating dun sa reception area.

We did an ocular sa Velada last week. At first kala namin ni h2b di sya maganda, di pa kami bumaba ng sasakyan ngtatawanan kami kasi parang di namin bet because of the tables dun sa harapan na di maganda. Pero pagpasok namin dun sa loob super okay naman pala. Meron din dun mga rooms na pwede nyo gamitin for preps.  Yung hall for the reception maganda and malaki with drapes na and chandelier. Pero kung sa garden ka pala, mejo maliit nga sya sa tingin ko. Check pics sa fb nila sis. Isa to sa mga pinagpipilian namin.

Question lang for those who have attended or were wed at Transfiguration of Christ Church in Antipolo: Do the Church coordinator/s really implement their rules? (ie, no curtains; photographers not allowed to walk during the wedding; entourage clothes guidelines?)

We're able to book the church on January 7, 2017. And based sa mga comments, they're a bit strict than usual churches.

unfortunately me.  i got married there last November.  super strict sila, as in OA (for me).  having strict dress code, i included shawl sa mga damit ng abay ko.  sabi sa conditions, bawal ang kita shoulders and back.  di naman nakalagay bawal makita ang arms.  so kahit sleeveless ang damit, pinapasuotan ng shawl.  ready si ate (yung coordinator) sa ganun.  pinagpapasapasa nya yung shawl sa mga readers na naka sleeveless na aakyat ng altar. 

another frustration is the bridal march.  admittedly, nahuli kami sa pag submit ng songs for that but the morning of our wedding day, my coordinator tried to submit the song but they didn't accept it.  strict din sila sa song, ipapa-approve pa raw yun kay father so dapat weeks before na-submit na sa kanila.  nakalagay rin sa conditions na preferrably instrumental.  instrumental naman yung mga songs namin pero di na nila in-accept kahit pakinggan man lang.  so di ko na-feel ang paglakad ko kasi di ko kilala yung kanta.  pero while walking down the aisle, nandun naman photographers ko, di naman sila pinagbawalan.  sa may altar lang yung bawal kaya halos puro sides lang ang shots namin sa altar.

regarding sa curtains/doors, wala talaga pero ok lang sakin yun kasi galing ako sa hagdan e, paakyat, so i think dramatic na yun. 

sa time strict din, though i understand lahat naman ng church ganun.  pero nakalagay sa conditions nila na may 15 minutes grace period.  yung grace period na yun, di nila sinunod.  nag threaten pa na wala na raw ceremony pag di pa naglakad ang mga entourage.  kaya tuloy nagmadali sila at kung sino-sino na lang ang magpa-partner, di nasunod yung nasa entourage list except for those na alam nilang mag partner sila.

the mass was a bit different sa mga na-attend kong wedding.  ang bilis nung "you may now kiss the bride".  after ma-bless ang ring at magsabihan ng i do's, kiss the bride na agad.  correct me if i'm wrong pero sa ibang wedding, announcement lang na husband and wife na pero wala pang you may now kiss the bride.  kaya feeling ko nagmadali photographers ko to shoot it.

medyo di ako natuwa sa naging church ceremony ng wedding ko.  feeling ko lahat OA.  i'm a born and raised catholic.  alam ko naman yung mga bawal.  pero yung sa kanila, OA na, tipong di naman ganun sa simbahan namin.  nakaka-frustrate lang.

For those looking for affordable caterers in upper Antipolo, you can try Jamaica France Catering. We always get them for our family events. Hindi masyado out of this world ang menu but food is super tasty. Love their fish fillet, beef kaldereta, and cordon bleu.

Hi ladies! I've been reading as in puyat nights here in GT. Planning on November 2016 wedding pero super habol and hapit sa schedule kasi overseas ang trabaho namin ni H2B. Good news for brides-to-be at the Transfiguration of Christ Church in Antipolo. As of February 2016, they have allowed "closed door" march for the bride. They have updated their policy as they have a new parish priest.

I'll be getting married this coming december at Alpadi Estate. Do you have reviews regarding the place?
I actually not hundred percent convinced about the place but I personally dont like event centers so I guess alpadi is the place to go. Which is better? Alpadi or La Huerta? And any lights and sounds suppliers in antipolo that provides good garden lighting? I booked all my suppliers except for the Lights and sounds 
And also we still dont have a pastor! meron bang nag Christian wedding dito? specially from CCF sana?
