Caterers worth less than 350p per head wedding package

same tayo sis myserenity PDTR din sana gusto ko, kaso matamlay sila sumagot. Mura pa rin naman packages nila pero I didn't know may mas mura pa.  Kaya hunt pa ko for more options.  Kung almost half the price eh sayang din ang matitipid.

Sis, Quidos yung caterer namin nung wedding. Last March lang. And 100 pax lang naman kami. Pumayag naman sila. Super mura pa nga ng binigay na package sa amin pero same lang yung food. And super ganda ng set up nila sa amin. =)

So far, ang ganda ng feedback sa food nung wedding namin. My father in law and my husband said na masarap talaga ang food. And ako, I can really say na okay talaga may lasa unlike sa ibang weddings na napuntahan ko and food sa hotel. Nag attend kami ng wedding gazebo royale last Saturday and hindi namin nagustuhan ang food nila. Yung food nila is more like yung food na natikman ko sa dusit hotel before. Pati dessert nila parang same din.

Nakuha ko siya P250/head 100 pax so we paid P25k, isang beef, isang chicken, isang pork and not sure if vegie, pasta or fish [textspeak!] last basta 4 na klase siya then dessert. Icheck ko kung nasa akin pa copy ng contract. Included na yung waiters, tables and chairs, linens, flowers. Ang wala nga lang table set up. Maybe because tinawaran ko lang siya hehe actually P300 per head dapat kaya lang teacher ko siya noong highschool ako. Hindi kasi ako masyado choosy sa set up sa food lang, so for me okay talaga yung food.

Yun deluxe wedding package nila kinuha namin .. medyo hindi ako satisfied sa naging service nila during my wedding .. SETUP: hindi nasunod yun table setup namin un napag-usapan namin ni Ms. Virgie. Yun table cloth dapat grey binibida pa nya na meron silang grey na pang wedding daw, un table runner dapat purple. Pero ang nangyari baliktad. Yun flower centerpiece usapan namin assorted flowers and candelabra na sindihan pa during recep program. Yun red carpet kaloka dahil punit punit putol-putol .. Yun tiffany chair namin ni hubby wala man lang cushion. as in plywood na binalutan ng purple na tela. Wala din kaming backdrop kahit sa buffet setup walang back drop man lang. Na ang sabi nya sa amin e telang grey, white, purple na lang bahala na yun tao nila mag design. Ni wala man lang table number .. Hindi ko na kinarir un DIY ng table numbers kasi for sure naman meron naman na yun sa mga caterers .. Ang nakita ko e sulat pentel pen sa bond paper na nakatupi na coord ko na ata gumawa .. MENU: menu ilan sa preferred food namin e hindi rin nasunod .. soup: cream of mushroom soup pero yun sinerve nila corn and crap soup. fish: sweet and sour fish fillet pero sinerve nila fish fillet in tartar sauce .. yun chopsuey hindi ko alam kun overcooked ba or what halos wala ng sabaw .. yun carbonara sobrang tabang .. yun buko pandan puro gulaman lang ni halos walang buco .. base yan sa mga natanong kong guest ..  Hindi ako gaano nakakain nun wedding namin patikim tikim lang .. hindi na ako gaano nagtatanong kasi nakakahiya at masakit makarinig ng mga nega ..

I send PM sa fb ni ms virgie na hindi ako satisfied sa naging service nila .. kun bakit naiba yun napag-usapan namin .. pero kahit sorry or pasensya wala man lang reply .. siguro hindi pa sila gaano sa wedding dahil mostly naman ng mga reviews sa kanila e pang birthday party .. hindi ko alam kun nagkataon lang na hindi magandang team un naibigay sa amin .. I wrote a review not to ruin their business but to warn those people na gustong kunin service nila .. Make sure na detailed lahat .. make sure na icheck sila from time to time and ipaalala sa kanila .. hindi ko na kasi nagawa mga bagay na yan dahil gahol na kami sa time .. nagkaproblem pa ako sa church kaya nagtiwala ako sa kanila nagtiwala ako sa mga reviews .. mali ko lang na yun mga reviews na nababasa ko e more on birthday party .. baka mas forte nila yun kesa sa wedding .. pasalamat na lang ako na hindi gaano pansin yun setup nila ako lang nakapansin na iba base sa napag usapan namin before ng wedding .. dun lang ako medyo nahihiya sa menu na sinerve nila .. kasi mga kapatid ko nga nagcocomment e ano pa kaya yun ibang guest namin .. dami nga naiwan na food sabi pa ng iba yun lechon lang nagdala .. buti na lang kumuha kami ng lechon sa iba at hindi sa kanila atleast yun nagustuhan ng guest namin ..

Buti na lang e nagenjoyed ang guests namin .. ang ganda daw ng wedding namin .. ang galing daw ng emcee .. ng photogs .. pati lights and sounds .. buti na lang talaga at magaling at okay ang ibang suppliers namin ..

sorry napahaba sissy! nag-share lang ako ng experience .. pero happy pa rin naman ako sa naging outcome ng wedding namin .. masaya naman lahat! nagenjoy kaming lahat .. hindi rin naman ako na-stress medyo napaisip lang ako after wedding na "bakit ganun iba yun usapan namin sa naging service nila" yun lang ..

corn and CRAP soup talaga? haha. pero seriously, di mo kailangan ng expertise sa anumang industry para malaman na dapat sundin ang napagusapan at tuparin ang mga ipinangako sa customer, so walang excuse na bago pa lang sila sa industry. sad naman. buti you did not dwell on it. ako talaga i hold grudges against dun sa nagkasala sakin sa wedding. joke! hehe

haha .. uo nga noh crap pala .. hehe! pero masarap naman yun corn and crab soup .. yun nga 1st choice ko eh .. pero inisip namin yun mas kilala na ng guest namin yun iserve para hindi sila mahiyang kainin .. uo sis masaya naman guests namin .. nag enjoy naman sila .. nag feedback lang ako para alam ng ibang bride kun saan sila mag focus incase na kunin nila service ng caterer na yun .. medyo naloka lang ako sa setup at sa tiffany chair namin ni hubby .. nagrerequest pa nga ko before na baka may tiffany chair sila for sponsors .. buti na lang for couple lang kundi malamang plywood na binalutan din ng tela .. hahaha!

teka sis may mga nagkasala ba nun sa wedding mo? hindi ko pa nabasa reviews mo .. ako happy naman sa mga suppliers ko .. unknown pa sa wedding industry pero they deliver well naman .. gandang ganda un mga guests namin .. happy naman na ako dun ..

^sis parang masakit naman sa pwet yung plywood. so dapat pala idagdag pa sa listahan ng to-dos ng brides ang pagtanong sa caterer ng, de-cushion ba ang mga tiffany chair ninyo?

nakakahinayang talaga ang madaming extra food. pero i preferred it that way, na sobrang food kesa kulang. parang di ko maeenjoy ang ceremony nun kung iniisip ko kung kakasya pa mga tao sa reception. alam kong we are looking at 90pax na aattend kahit 100pax ang kinuha namin pero di na kami nagdagdag ng bagong set of invitees. ayun, 80 lang nakarating sa kasal.

^uo nga sis mas okay kun sobra kesa kulang .. kasi naglist kami ni h2b umabot ng halos 160 pax .. tapos medyo nagdagdag kami ng invitees nun kasi nagpa-add na kami 2 tables plus may buffer for suppliers kaya keri na .. nanghinayang lang ako kasi dami natira .. dami hindi nakarating .. tama sis dapat iask din yun sa suppliers kun may cushion ba yun tiffany chair nila .. buti na lang talaga hindi nakikita ng guest yun .. sana monoblock na rin lang pinagamit sa amin .. hahaha!

Blue Petals is actually P250 per head including dessert and bottomless iced tea plus the arrangement of tables. Believe me masarap ito lalo na yung chicken nila na hindi mo na kailangan lagyan ng gravy saka yung mga karne malalambot.

sis, may recent quote ka ba from Blue Petals? Was trying to contact them via email pero hindi nag rereply.  Would you know if they charge out of town for Tagaytay?  Was thinking bka mas economical na sila kunin since malapit na rin naman ang Betterliving sa Tagaytay.

^taga betterliving ka din pala. diyan din office nila. yep sis nagpapaFT sila, you just have to call them as to their schedule and kung may preferred kang dish nila na gusto mo itry, inform them. Si Jona yung nagasikaso samin nun and she's sweet and kind.

For our annual family reunion / christmas party we got Kusina Reyes.  Initially I was hesitant to get them kasi sa Ultimate Taste test in Rockwell ko lang sila nakita, but we really loved their Aligue Rice and Chicken Gallantina that when we were planning our reunion decided talaga ako na mag-order sa kanila ng Aligue Rice and Chicken and our main caterer talaga dapat si Blue Petals, kasi on a budget din kami.  Pero after attending a kiddie party last November na Blue Petals ang nag-cater hindi kami masyadong naging happy with the food quality.  That's why I started scouting for other affordable caterers.  I inquired with Queensland, Amalia's restaurant in BF Pque, Little Quiapo, and Kusina Reyes.  We ended getting Kusina Reyes.

Our price per head was 350, with tables and chairs, linens, centerpieces, waiters, and refillable iced tea.

roast porkloin with buttered baby potatoes
vegetable alexander
spaghetti neopolitana

chocolate clusters

we just ordered additional lechon from Sabroso's

everybody naman was happy with the food, and hindi kami nagkulang, kasi i'm quite sure that more than 100 people ate.  service was good as well and they were on time, though ours was a simple family gathering, so the entire event wasn't really that complicated. 

for brides who are on a budget, you may ask your favorite restaurants as well if they cater.  and you will be surprised that a lot of them do off site catering.
