Just got back from HK. I looooove the weather sana ganun nalang sa Pilipinas haha. Stayed in Butterfly on Prat - very accommodating staff - nagrequest ako na hindi transparent bathrooms and pinatakpan ko ng blinds yung ibang part ng bathroom tapos nagawa naman nila, big room (HK standard - & mas malaki sa Butterfly on Morrison) may DVD player and microwave pa. Malapit sa Mcdo, maraming kaininan, tapos lakad lang ng onti andun na mismo Nathan road Pero matigas ang bed nila, kaloka.

Disneyland kami nung Saturday - ang daming tao! Lalo na sa Toy Story land. Kung pupunta kayo ng Disneyland, better kung unahin niyo yung part na yun kasi exag na yung mga pila sa rides nung hapon. & wala kami magawa sa 3rd day, pumunta kami sa Sha Tin para sa Snoopy World pero dahil umuulan, sarado! Haha, sayang ang effort namin!

Bawal ba shorts?  I read somewhere na pagkakamalan daw pokpok pag nakashorts?  pagtitinginan ng tao coz halatang tourist.  Bihira ba magshorts hongkongers during summer?

Naexperience ko yan sa HK/Macau. Puro kasi shorts and miniskirts dinala ko to save space sa luggage. Ang mahilig tumingin ay yung matatanda. Mind you, from head to toe. Pero not in a degrading way naman. Parang curious na tingin lang kasi obvious naman na tourist ako. Yung mga younger people, deadma lang.

P.S.
Laging winter ako nagpupunta ng HK. So baka isang reason din yun kung bakit sila napapatingin. Kasi lahat sila balot na balot.

Hi sisses, it will be our first time to go abroad (Hong Kong) this May.  Ask ko sana kung may nakapagdala na ng yaya nila on a trip abroad and mahirapan kaya kame sa immigrations? Need advice, thanks in advance.

^Are you travelling with a child or an infant on 5J? If so, it says on their site, they don't accept infants or children for web check in. The whole group on the pnr must check in at the airport together.

What restaurant can you recommend inside Disneyland and OP?  We will have one meal each there.

found out that weather in HK tomorrow is 12-15 Celsius and on Sunday 20-25Celsius nalang, so does that mean, parang baguio weather na lang?  like light cardigans and hoodies and not trench coats/fall outfits?  will be there next Wed kasi and i'm little by little packing our things na.  i have 2 little boys kasi and i'm thinking if i should bring thick sweaters pa or kung hoodies na lang for them.  tia!

anybody been to piu ngai dance supply store in causeway bay?  my friend is going tom and gusto ko magpabili ng mga leotards sa kanya.  just trying my luck here if someone knows the price range of leotards in piu ngai.  the internet is no help, cant find any.

hi sis.. baka lang makatulong.. we were at HK last Feb 23-28.. before the trip, we were checking the weather forecast din so we'll have an idea what to bring.. from various websites, we got a range from 17-23 degrees.. we just brought long sleeves, cardigans and a coat just in case.. when we got there on our first day, the temp was fine.. 22 degrees.. keri pa ng coat.. but then the following days, the temp dropped to 12-17 degrees na sobrang windy.. that is not baguio weather.. we had to wear layers of shirts and i had to buy a thicker coat and gloves.. coz i was freezing.. we enjoyed it though..

so i guess what i'm just saying is that eventhough the weather forecasts are saying this temp or so.. i'd say better prepare for the worse(cold).. especially since u have lil kids with u.. hth

check www.hko.gov.hk para sa weather forecast... nakalagay din dyan yung blow ng hangin.. pero minsan talaga magbabago pa rin. di naman din kase natin matatantya yung weather talaga eh. pero for sure for those who will travel this week. bring extra jacket (makapal at manipis or 2 regular thickness) and a scarf. yung scarf it helps din kas eonce your neck is covered, di ka ganun lalamigin.. malamig these past few days kase panay ulan.. actually, dapat talaga di na malamig eh.. dapat mala-baguio na lang..

to our sisses na nagstay sa ymca salisbury, is it better to inquire and book sa mismong site nila? we are 6 adults and 2 kids. though the 2 kids e adult built na. pwede kaya kami sa family suite nila? 2 rooms lang? thank you in advance

poshprincess and prettynvain, super thanks for your suggestions.  i'll pack for fall na nga kesa naman magkasakit yung kids ko sa lamig.  and i guess, scrapped na ang idea ko to bring shorts for them hehe.  =)

just confirmed din our reservation w/ken, ok naman daw at nakareserve pa yung room namin.  dec 2011pa ako kasi nagDP, baka nakalimutan na niya.  crossing my fingers that all will go well...

we're in HK last week. on our first 2 days parang baguio weather lang but on our 3rd and 4th day naging maulan at sobrang windy kaya naging sobrang lamig na. nag enjoy kami sobra sa trip namin kaya lang bitin hehe..at least we have reason to go back kasi ang dami pa naming hindi napuntahan.

sis happy i've read sa trip advisor. nakapag stay ka na ba dun? what room kaya pwede for 4 adults may charge ba extra person.

^Not yet, but I have booking for both Hotel Benito and YMCA.   I'll decide later on, maybe first week of August since our travel is last week of August pa naman.

There's a lot of positive feedback for YMCA and I have friends who enjoyed their stay there.  As for Hotel Benito, I am just relying on the rave reviews posted at Pinoy Exchange.   I'll browse Tripadvisor again and look for the negative feedback. I might have missed that one.

For 4 adults, Hotel Benito has 2 types of Family Room while YMCA has the Family Suite.
