^Sis you can checkout at 12 then leave your luggage first at golden crown then come back pag papunta na kayo ng airport. Gc to airport via bus is around 45mins.

parang ang layo yata - 45 mins? ma traffic ba or ganun talaga ang distance nya from airport? so meaning yung city is malayo talaga from airport?

3D/2N lang kasi kami sa HK. this is what I have planned:

Day 1 - Arrival at around 9:30AM, go to GC para mag check in at iwan ang gamit. Go to Macau and spend the rest of the day there. Madami ba naman kaming pwedeng makita doon? or mabore din kami at bumalik din ng HK agad?
Day 2 - Disney. Spend the entire day. Hanggang gabi na siguro para makapanood pa ng fireworks.
Day 3 - Ikot ikot lang around the city, mag shop siguro sa Mongkok and wait hanggang hapon para pumunta ng airport. Flight namin pabalik ay 9:45 PM. Yung location ba ng GC ay malapit sa mga shops? (sorry ulet kung naitanong na ito)

OT - bakit ganun, yung gamit kong browser kanila is Mozilla, tapos after a few mins nag try ako mag click pa ng ibang pages dito sa GT e lumalabas yung DMCI na ad. tapos wala na akong ma click na ibang page puro yun ang lumalabas. hay. lipat tuloy ako IE, ang bagal tuloy.

^Yes, the airport is far from the city so allot ample travel time to/from it.

Re Golden Crown, haven't stayed there yet but based on what I've read from other posts here, it's location is very accessible. Near shops & restos(fast food ones ata).

mga sis, nagcheck na ako ng cheap hotels around hong kong...namamahalan pa rin ako dun :-( hindi kakayanin ng budget namin ang 1,200HK$ per night sa isang room lang...

maganda ba ang Golden Crown? paano ang mode of reservation & payment nila?

what advisable gawin for our Macau trip, DIY na lang ba pati ang ferry tickets?

sa booking.com nagpabook officemate ko mas mura kesa sa mismong site nila. nag-check ako ngayon, 4400 lang yong standard queen room plus 10%.

Is that with free cancellation? 

I checked directly with HB it's HKD990.00 nett for August 2012 for standard queen room plus the usual amenities.  Free cancellation too at least 72 hours before the reserved date.

I'm just wondering because when I check Booking.com sold out na for my target dates.

masyado lang ako ba ako nagmamadali or ganun lang talaga? I made a reservation with GC last night. Normally, how long does it take for them to confirm the booking?

Tumawag na ako para lang mapadali yung pag book kasi gusto ko sana confirmed na yung room para makabook na akong ng flight namin pero naka 3 na akong tawag e wala akong makausap na matino. Then I looked for Elvis and they said I should call in the afternoon. nakaka stress naman! haha!

^Tama si sis theflygirl, medyo malayo ang GC sa airport. Airport is in Lantau Island and GC is in Kowloon. Travelling via the airport express is around 30mins ata.

Sis in my case, it took 1 day for the booking with GC to be confirmed.

Okay naman un itnerary mo, doable . IMO, Macau is not really for kids maganda sya photo-op hehe pero puro casinos. Mas enjoy talaga HK and as other sissies recommend here, if first time nyo sa HK mas ok na wag na muna kayo mag-Macau. Nung first time ko ng, 7 days na kami sa HK pero bitin padin hehe. Nung 2nd time na lang kami nagside-trip to Macau. Hope this helps sis!

Sad naman dahil 1 night lang daw available sa GC... biglaan lang kasi gusto pumunta ni hubby, bakasyon kasi nya. san pa kaya maganda mag stay?

airbus 21 from Nathan road to hkia will take 1.5hr kaya alot at least 2 hours for this dahil maghihintay pa kayo ng bus. Fare is 33hkd
for aiport express from TST to HKIA 45minutes fare is 60hkd.

^ Nakapunta na kasi ako sa Tokyo DIsneyland... at masyado syang pambata although bata pa naman ako nung pumunta dun pero I enjoyed more the Universal Studios in Osaka Japan than Tokyo DIsneyland that time. Pero si bf di pa siya nakakapunta sa Disneyland pero nung pinakita ko yung mga attractions dun umayaw sya. hehe so ocean park na lang kami kasi di pa ko nakakapunta dun and mas mukhang fun dun. Recommended din ang Ocean Park ng friend ko na nakapunta na sa Disneyland at Ocean Park. Nakapunta na before si bf sa Ocean Park pero batang bata pa daw siya nun so ok lang umulit.

naubusan ako ng room sa GC i called every hotel/hostel mentioned in the other thread (tips on where to stay in HK) and ended up with Cosmic Guest House. I read the reviews and most of them said its horrible

Well ang kinuha ko na lang is yung double bed na room nila hopefully malaki na sya for us, 2 lang naman kami. charge nila is HKD 580 per night. Then I just booked our plane tickets ayun nagmahal ng tig 1k pesos per person... sayang pa din.. oh well at least ok na yung accomodation and tickets namin, yung to-do na lang ang gagawin ko. salamat po sa mga nagreply.

sana pala sa Hop Inn na lang ako nakakuha ng room. e wala na nakapag deposit na ako
sige na lang sana ok din doon... saka sana sa mga ibang sis na nakasubok na dun, pa share naman ng experience hehe

SISTERS, as a seasoned traveler, sasabihin ko sa inyo, it's 10,000USD AS IN AMERICAN DOLLARS, hindi pesos. As usual, nangungurakot nanaman yung mga tao sa airport. Honestly, tarayan niyo lang yan, and pag tinakot nga kayo, ask them to show
 you the written rules. It's written in the customs declaration papasok ng Philippines, that you should declare your money if you are carrying USD 10,000 and above.
Wala naman masyadong mabibili ang php 10k abroad eh, so it's really not a big big big amount.

P.S. My hubs says for you to check your departure cards, dun nakasulat anong pwede and anong bawal.

You have to declare if you are carrying 10k both in USD and Pesos.  di naman sinabing hindi pwede just as long as may permit kayo.  you have to get an authority or something from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to carry the amount...pero if meron kayo and you have no necessary supporting docs to carry such amount of money, tago nyo na lang siguro esp if you're traveling alone.
