holy land tour (israel, jordan, sometimes egypt too)

i haven't found any holy land thread here so i opened one...

anyone here who can share their experience? im about to go by march and egypt isn't included coz there's issues according to the travel agency..

hi sis. we did this last year. march din kami pumunta. ganito ang naging tour namin:

we went first sa jordan. manila-dubai-amman yung flight via emirates. we arrived in amman around 11 am ata. tapos derecho tour na! may pinuntahan kami somewhere near the airport tapos we had lunch tapos 3 hour drive papuntang petra. the next day, we went to see the treasury. matinding lakaran ito. tapos 3 hour drive ulit pabalik ng amman. tapos the next day, bus na papuntang israel. nakakanerbyos lang sis yung sa may border. we stayed in israel for 5 days yata. sa israel malamig pag umaga at gabi pero pag tanghali mainit. on our 4th day we went to the dead sea. lulutang ka pala talaga dun sis. haha. tapos bus ulit going to egypt. we were lucky at nung time na pumunta kami, kalmado pa sa egypt so i got to see the pyramids we stayed in egypt for 3 days. tapos yung tour na nakuha namin, dinagdagan namin ng dubai. 3 days pa kami nag-stay sa dubai

nakakapagod talaga tapos palipat lipat kayo ng hotel so pack-unpack-pack-unpack ka. naka-7 hotels kami all in all. pero sobrang sulit lahat ng pagod. nakaka-overwhelm din yung feeling na nakarating ka sa mga lugar na yun. parang bihira kasi yung nakakapunta dun eh, so ang laking blessing talaga

pag may questions ka sis, ask ka lang or pm mo ako

gano kayo katagal ng swim sa dead sea sis? ok ba? nako d kaya sumakit ang paa namen dito? haha! much better to bring backpacks ba?

glacy_rein: sabi samin hindi ka daw pwedeng tumagal ng more than 20 minutes na nakababad sa dead sea. masama daw sa balat. ako nagpapicture lang ako na nakalutang tapos umahon na ako. tapos sis be careful na wag malagyan ng tubig yung eyes mo ha. pero yung mud, maganda daw sya ipahid sa skin. therapeutic daw at nakakakinis. yung iba pinapahid nila sa face pero i didn't put it on my face, natakot ako dahil sensitive skin ko eh. hehe. ok naman ang backpack sis. thou shall not forget to bring hat, payong at sunblock

m_lim: group tour ito, pinaayos namin sa travel agency. around 2,500$ sis, lahat lahat na yan except yung lunch nyo. kasi bfast and dinner sa hotel, kasama sa bayad yun pero yung lunch sa labas na, kanya kanyang bayad na yun

^yeah super salty kasi so dehydration aabutin. thanks a inputs sis ah! lapit na ng tour namin.

mura ng package niyo.. kame $7,306 ngayon eh for 2 na yan all in kaso walang egypt

sayang talaga sis yung egypt. dun ako pinaka nag-enjoy eh, kahit ilang araw lang. dream ko talagang makita ang pyramids tapos ang gwapo pa nung tour guide

been to Cairo so I'll do Jordan and Israel with hubby this October. Excited much!

What are the requirements for a visa to Jordan? And is it okay lang for them that I did not book a tour? DIY lang gusto namin ni hubby so we can move on our own pace.

What's the best are to stay in Jordan and Israel?


When I was in Egypt, I stayed in the Giza area. Super near the pyramids lang. I'll prolly stay around this area again. Next visit ko I wanted to see Luxor and Alexandria naman.

I've been wanting to go for the longest time to the Holy Land, kaso pag may tatak na daw ng Israel yung passport, magkakaissue pabalik dito sa UAE.  How true is this?

sis you have the option naman to have the entry and exit stamped on a paper instead of your passport.

I have heard nga that arab countries daw restrict people with israeli stamp on their passport. I
was hoping dubai would be a lenient.

I don't think magkaka problema if you are a us visa holder. Plan ko rin mag DIY sa Jordan and Israel.
Hubby and I are planning to rent a car to drive around  Jordan. I am still researching
on how to go about Israel. We're flying this October to Amman tapos bus to Israel. I've been to Cairo, Egypt so we'll skip that.

Wow! That's great.  At least alam na rin ng mga Israel officials ang dilemma ng mga nagtatrabaho sa Middle East.

Sis from Dubai ka? Nako hindi pala talaga pwede dyan noh. Akala ko kasi dahil tourist hub na yan
dubai due to its connecting flight all over the world, they would not mind that Israeli stamp. Kahit tourist
ka lang to middle east countries basta may israeli stamp ka, they would deny you on try daw. Pero may
nababasa kasi ako sa lonelyplanet and tripadvisor na Dubai is lenient about it.

I think its already a standard for Israeli immigration officers to ask the foreign visitor if they
would want the stamp to be in a paper or in the passport because they know the implications
of such stamp to foreigners wanting to visit Arab nations in the future.

mag DIY lang kami ng husband ko eh.

^ it wasn't a requirement naman sa friends namin ni hubby though they were english, not sure if the treatment is the same with pinoys. they did the whole jordan-egypt-israel trip DIY and they didn't have any problems. i think dapat malakas lang loob mo

hello sis vain_kixie, sorry for the late reply...medyo busy lang. i think it will be okey as long as may return ticket ka, no worries. may mga kakilala din me, direct from pinas na nag-visit dito, mga relatives ng ibang friends ko, DIY lang din sila [return ticket, allowance & invitation letter since may kakilala sila dito]. kailan kayo papasyal dito sis? extended ang winter season ngayon, ulan ng ulan nitong mga nakaraang araw, super lamig
