Online Dating

either sa forums, sa online dating sites or sa chat, anong take niyo on online dating? successful ba kayo? or meron din horror stories?

Tried this just a day ago.

Mukhang pihikan rin ang mga pinoy men. Playing safe ata.

It's not also easy to meet pinoy guys here pala.

But for foreigners, mas mabilis sila.

I've recently signed up for online dating. All my exes were Pinoy and I wanted to know what else is out there. Sabi ng friends ko [textspeak!] ugali ko, medyo hindi pang pinoy so might as well try other cultures.

Im currently in contact with a canadian, 3 months na kami email. I also introduced him to line/wechat. I dont know what to expect kasi ineenjoy ko lang [textspeak!] halos araw araw na chat. It's funny how we have so much in common. It's like i found a male version of me, only more serious, more introverted. Kung may magandang mangyari, happy kasi nga sobrang similar namin di ba :) every day i really look forward to hearing from him kahit simpleng hello at smiley lang. :)

Yung isa naman Hungarian. Pero friends pang talaga kami nun. I help him with Tagalog but we dont have a lot in common. But he's nice.

Been in an online dating site for quite some time. Marami rin namang matino. Yung iba choosy lang.
haha Don't we all? May standards lang tayo at preference. Hirap lang sa dating site minsan
nag kagustuhan na kayo then ok nag jijive sa texts and all pero sa meetup na wala na hindi
nag click or parang ayaw ng friends lang ano ba dapat in relationship agad agad? lol :/

Two of my friends dati ganyan ang ginagawa haha. Foreigners din kausap pero hanggang landian lang. Usually ang nangyayari is sex lang talaga habol, or if naguguilty yung kausap, tatapatin yung girl na he's not looking for a serious relationship. Minsan bigla na lang di magpaparamdam. :)

I tried online dating pero malabo talaga. Chatted and met lots of girls but rarely umaabot ng 2nd date. Meeting through a common friend is still the best way to go.

I have tried signing up on okcupid early this year. Most of them nasa fb friends ko na so i guess mas naging secure yung identity nila if they have a fully functioning facebook profile (although not a guarantee din baka ma-catfish ka pa din hehe). But generally wala naman akong nakausap na nambastos or directly nagsabi na sex lang ang habol. Siguro kase i deleted my profile na din after one week hahahaha.

I deleted my profile kase it wasnt really my kind of thing. Pagka sign up mo pa lang dami kagad messages from random people. Nalilito ako kung sino rereplyan haha. Plus nameet ko din yung current partner ko so i decided not to pursue talking to them since i was already dating exclusively.

^i highly agree with you, for me that's the safest way to meet not just potential partners but also new friends.

Actually, i met my current partner from a friend. Ayown.

Never really tried this. but I hate it when some random guys I don't even know suddenly start talking to me...example sa WeChat.

maybe, I'm just the type of girl na mas gustong makipag-usap ng personal sa isang lalaki kesa sa net hehe  ;D

I know few na super naging successful ang love life nila.

But I know someone, na medyo di naging maganda ang kinalabasan. Si guy eh from NZ, and super rich daw sabi ng friend ko. Nagkakilala sila ng March (online), then May kasalan na daw agad. Si guy, he's suppose to go here  a week before their planned wedding, so lahat ng plans eh sa friend ko napunta. Good thing nag papadala ng panaka nakang pero si guy from NZ. I kept on telling my friend na kung sigurado ba sya sa plan nya, and super bilis kasi ng panyayari. So si friend ko, nag book na sa ibang suppliers, nag down sa iba. Super excited sya. Halos lahat ng kamag anak nya, alam na they're getting married. Then isang araw, di nalang nagparamdam si guy. Until now waley na.

Online dating is not exactly for everyone. Destiny plays a part on where you'd find your one true love.

You have to be very careful when dating online. Don't believe anything you read. Do your research.

I've met all of my serious boyfriends online. (All PINOY btw) :D Tatlo sila, pinaka maiksi is 1 year then yung current, a little over 2 years

I've dated quite a number of guys in forums since mostly shared interests naman ang pinaguusapan kaya hindi masyadong sablay and if hindi kaya magka-wavelength in the lover's department, you can still be friends. I've also been in a 2 year relationship with a guy who I met via an online game. The guy I'm currently dating naman, we met via Yahoo Chat ages ago.

I'm quite an introvert kasi thus restricting my pool of friends and social circles from growing. Being the type of person din who does not "want to s*** in their own backyard" (i.e. date people in the workplace/university) I find it convenient to socialize online with people with similar interests.

Personally, I'm quite wary of dating sites, I've met 2 guys via metrodate, but it didn't quite pan out. If you're looking for someone to date online, casual or for the long haul, online forums are the best place to start.

Ewan ko kung dahil sa edad ko or dahil sa mga suspense movies/books, I don't trust online dating. Parang kahit papano I would still prefer the traditional na getting-to-know-you personally and not through chats na hindi mo nakikita itsura.

But again, siguro may value din nga itong chat, kung wrong spelling/grammar, turn off.  ;D
