I was recently looking at my stash (also known as "altar") and I realized how much I've been spending on makeup, skincare, shower stuff, beauty needs. This, when the products I use regularly are Dove soap, Physiogel AI moisturizer (alternate with Physiogel Intensive nowadays,) Neutrogena sunblock, and Lewis and Pearl oil controlling de-taktak powder.

I do not wear makeup, but like looking at them. And buy them for that purpose. Crazy, right?

To date, I have three liquid foundations, a couple of powder foundation, several blushes, few bottles of perfumes, lipsticks and lipglosses I do not even know where I threw...still minimal compared to most of you, yes, but for me, with my kind of "beauty" (if you can call it that) routine, my collection is definitely excessive.

So I am trying this thing I'd like to call Beauty Minimalism - I will only buy what I use. Ogling at pretty stuff allowed, sure, not wallet tightly shut. Of course, I will need to have foundation, blush, gloss, mascara for special occasions, but I will try to stop this insane constant wanting to try out new stuff, buying them, and then putting it in my "altar" because they all look so pretty up there.

Wish me luck. And if there are a few of you like me, I am inviting you to join me here in this thread/ journey to Beauty Minimalism.

And maybe throw our hard-earned dough to Apple instead? (kidding! :P )

*looks at my altar at my room*
Oo nga... shesshhh
I have a lot of lipsticks that i dont oftern use~!
and stacks of different lotion, when i can only use one at a time but because i sometimes buy out of impulse or wanting to try new things , there you go... they're all stuck at my room...
waiting to consumed.

I like this idea. I'd go for this too.  :)

ako naman parang addict lang, gusto ko lang talaga bumili ng bumili, parang I get a natural high whenever I buy something then after that wala na. There are some items bibilhin ko try ko then wala na hindi ko na ginagamit or most of the item mga online purchases ko, dahil matagal ang shipping from US to here madalas nakakalimutan ko na may binili pala ako haha pero I know the feeling of tipid sa pagkain para lang sa luho haha

I like this thread. I am not into makeup and lipsticks. C cream for the face, I feel so manang kasi kaya nagdecide ako mag-allot ng budget for beauty this year. Pero no makeup and lipstick pa rin.

Perhaps that's really human nature, when something is so desirable if only for the fact that we know we struggle to attain it. Especially for us women, who, according to Camus have one thing in common with Bonaparte: we think we can succeed where everyone else has failed. Haha!
Ako naman pag bumili excited ako itry so pagkakuha ittry on ko sya once then after that ignored nadin siya :p

Pag lipstick and liquid foundies lang. Haha

I guess it's still entirely up to us kung magpapadala tayo sa raves or not. At the end of the day, I think it still boils down to self-control and how strong your will is to resist the temptation. :)

Apparently, mine isn't that strong though I am working on it. :)

Hello hello! hehe

^Tin! I miss you too! Napadaan lang ako. Baka topakin ako at mag-hiatus ulit ako haha

I still visit GT kahit nung nag-hiatus ako pero so far walang tumatawag pansin sa akin. Believe it or not, hindi na nga ko updated sa mga collection. Anong shade? Napapa-google pa ko! haha

^haha hindi mo naman sis kelangan mag-hiatus. Siguro self-control talaga ang kelangan. In my case, kahit gusto kong bumili, wala talaga nakaka-attract sa akin. Na-appreciate ko ng bongga yung stash ko. Minsan nga nalilimutan ko meron pala akong ganung blush or lipstick haha

^madalas kasi pag may nababasa ako dito sa GT natetempt ako and like what I've said parang natural high lang pag may nabibili akong bago, siguro kailangan ko maghanap ng bagong paggagastusan. Ang dami ko na sobra nakakasayang din pag nagexpired, as much as I dont follow expiration dates when it reach 5 years or so parang nakakatakot na gamitin haha

^^I've been there. Bibili tapos magsisisi. Nakakaloka yung ganung feeling kasi sobrang guilting guilty ka pero iniisip mo na andyan na eh so wag ng isipin masyado, di mo naman mababalik tapos uulit ulit haha Sa akin iniisip ko nalang na i-enjoy yung stash ko tsaka ewan ko ba lalo na sa Chanel ha, kahit may bagong blush, iniisip ko eh di ko masyado nagagamit yung meron ako eh, what difference does it make kung bibili pa ko ng isa? So ayun, deadma na.
