Manila Philharmonic Orchestra or  Infinite Soul Acoustic highly recommended ko sayo.
My friend got MPO nakakakilabot sila pero medyo pricey gusto ko rin sila,  but then Infinite Soul Acoustic was my wedding band kasi affordable yet sobrang galing. Wala nga lang performance mga bands sa Themes and Motifs ang alam ko. We went there once lang.

Infinite Soul Acoustics is going to be in the Themes and Motifs bridal fair this coming weekend. I plan to book them then.. maybe it'll be cheaper since it's bridal fair anyway. hehe...

Depends what kind of music you like and your budget. I have contact numbers of DJ friends, Ace Ramos, David Ardiente, Mars Miranda, Zombettes (Sanya and Ornusa), Ron Poe and if you have others in mind

I got Impressions Strings for my wedding 4 years ago. I didn't want a band as they're too loud. I wanted nice background music where my guests could still talk to each other.

They were great to work with! Extensive song selection and were willing to learn new songs without a charge provided they could find the score for free. If they had to pay, they will charge you.

I was initially going to get Philharmonic but they're song lists were so limited and outdated, and they would charge per song to learn.

To this day a lot of guests ask who I got for my strings. I had them play alternative music but in instrumentals think Vitamin String Quartet

Thanks dito sa Girltalk and we were about to book our band and Lights and sounds na, I already watched Infinite Soul Acoustic on an actual wedding last Sept 7 and we were amazed on their performances kahit na sobrang choosy ko talaga sa band, gustong-gusto sya ng fiance ko so we're planning to book them also tomorrow after work.

Wow ang daming nagbubook ng Infinite Soul Acoustic. I agree magaling nga sila, i watched their youtube videos too. until now we still can't decide who to book. My husband is a musician kase so he would rather choose a quartet or quintet over a live band for some reasons. Lalo na ang dami din nya kilala sa iibat ibang band.. He even worked with some of them.. So until now nagcocompare parin kami ng mga performances nila by watching their videos.

^We got Coffee Break Island. They were amazing. They're reggae/ska. They're really good, not the usual show band, because their songs are different. But they do covers. The first song in our after party was "Can't Take My Eyes Off You." Haha. My husband grabbed my hand and we started dancing on the dance floor. In front of everybody! Pretty soon everybody was on the dance floor with us. Our parents and titos and titas dancing with our friends. It was the best sight.  Ours was more ska than reggae, but they do reggae really well also.

Sis, maganda ba mag enunciate yung Infinite Soul female singer live? Medyo OC kasi ako sa ganun, gusto ko magaling magpronounce kahit kumakanta. Parang yung nakinig ako ng clips sa youtube, yung girl seems to need to improve on that (parang off yung pag pronounce sa "thousand" yung kumakanta ng "thousand years". Tama ba observation ko or baka sa quality of the video lang?

we also booked Infinite soul acoustic,  so far ok naman sila sa inattendan kong wedding ng kakilala ko. Magagaling nga sila. Dun ko nga sila mas naappreciate kesa sa videos. Ako naman OC rin pero what i love about  Monica (their lead singer) is that marami syang honest helpful tips and shes very concern when it comes to my wedding, nakakita rin kami ng magaling na host because of her. Meaning may passion sya for her craft and concern for bride to be's like me! Thats why advise na lang, kung want mo talaga ng magaling, better siguro humanap ka ng singer na galing sa callcenter or something related to that (ask her personally). Go to their regular gigs or actual wedding gigs. Worst case maganda sa band pictures and got soundcloud samples lang, yun pala sa personal off pala!

Hahahaha correct ka dyan sis truthfruit.  Sabi nga nila, better book someone with a "this is is" feeling than ask other opinion pa, baka yung sumagot eh hindi naman credible since you don't personally know them.    Ikaw rin naman magdedecide for yourself. Sobrang daming magagaling na banda dyan, at marami ding recording artist na pagpipilian pero hindi lahat concern sa clients nila at makakasundo mo. Yan din nagustuhan ko kay Monica of Infinite Soul , tinulungan nya rin ako makahanap ng makakasundo kong suppliers sa mga kaartehan at mga demands ko noon .  As of now, karamihan ng suppliers ko during my wedding are my newly found friends ko na ngayon, constant communication kami sa facebook and we also visit them sa mga bridal fairs.

nice to hear that, ang hirap din talaga maghanap ng suppliers kapag wala kang idea talaga sa simula. Pati fiance ko binigyan na ko ng sarili kong task, nakikialam na rin MIL to be ko pati sa mga list of songs namin kasi daw marami daw oldies na aattend so dapat may dance instructors daw para masaya rin. lol . Sis share ka naman ng experience mo with their music during your wedding ? Kumusta sila during wedding ceremony nyo @altheabride?

I have a question.. these bands that you hired, do they have their own setlist na standard sa wedding? Or magbibigay ba kayo sa playlist nyo sa kanila? Originally kase di ko kinonsider maghire ng band, since very particular ako sa songs na gusto namin for our wedding, pero when i heard the band that we booked, i imemdiately wanted to book them right away, as in yung tipong kahit solo lang si ateng lead vocals pwede na, haha matinding 'this is it' feeling talaga ang naganap. kaso going back to my playlist, mga songs kase na gusto namin are mostly 90's-early 2000s songs na hindi traditionally for weddings (eg The One by Backstreet Boys, Breathless by The Corrs, etc) so naisip ko baka hindi nila to usually kinakanta, so kung irerequest ko to sa kanila baka hassle on their part na kelangan pa nila aralin. On the other end, hindi naman ako fan ng mga conventional wedding songs lalo na yung mga recent (eg A Thousand Years, I Won't Give Up, etc etc). I have yet to talk to them pa if feasible yung playlist namin or kung pwede magcompromise at least..

Sa mga bands ba na hinire ninyo possible ba to have your own playlist?

May ibang bands akong naencounter before , they told me may additional charge if wala sa playlist nila and need pang aralin mga gusto mong kanta. The one we hired walang additional charge kahit magbigay kami ng list of songs na wala sa playlist nila. Kahit ilan pa raw irequest namin basta lang daw isend ahead of time.

we're getting quartet din, for the very reason that it is a wedding and we feel na mas fit ang strings for this event.. yung bands kase are common na for us, when we go clubbing or sa bars.. and we normally get bands na rin kase when we have bday parties and when we organize some events.. so for a change naman, we're getting quartet sa wedding

Just booked Infinite Soul Acoustic. Initially we wanted to get a DJ, kasi we wanted our wedding party to be really a party. We did not want our wedding party to really be formal eh, kaya we wanted a more perky / fun music ensemble. When we went to our venue for an ocular, we saw Infinite Soul playing, we liked it. We thought we really wanted to have a sax player sa wedding namin din! Ang classy ng ambiance nung time na nakita namin sila playing at that wedding. We were looking for more affordable acoustic bands pa sana since namamahalan ako sa 16k rate (Package 1) ng Infinite. Pero when we saw them sa SMX fair last weekend, they were giving a discount plus free ceremony performance pa (worth 7k).  We didn't book them then kasi they were packing up na when we were able to drop by their booth. Pero I was able to book them kahit tapos na yung fair with the same promo. Ang bait ni Monica and nagkataon na she knows the bridal song march I wanted (kahit hindi popular song), and it's her favorite song too. Guess it's meant to be.   Nagalingan din si fiance sa kanila after watching their videos. After all, all we need are good food, good music, good company on our wedding, perfect na for us. Push pa rin ang wedding party kahit walang DJ!

Hi sis hallerski.. Pareho tayo. Quartet din gusto ni hubby..kasi kung yung usual na band daw kukunin namin ay kaya na daw ng mga friends nya yon.hahahah.. Anyway,as iv said he's a musician too so iba ang taste nya pagdating sa ganyan.. Mas magnada daw pag strings kasi timeless ang dating,whatsoever he knows a lot of people din na na magaling sa violin, sax, flute etc (kasi he's the music director in our church at they conduct concert yearly when we were still in Ph.) pero ang pagkakaalam ko, may kailala sya sa Impressions music ensemble..so yun siguro..
