had my check up yesterday, gusto ko  na magpainduce, but ayaw pa ng midwife kasi grade II pa lang daw placenta ko, but 3 cm na ako. svi nya baka ma CS lang ako kasi meron daw mga ganung case kahit nga daw 7 cm na CS pa rin, kaya un hindi ko na iniinsist, wait ko na [textspeak!] until next saturday ulit. grabe talaga ang sakit pag induce ka, pero atleast wala pang 24 hrs. ang pain makikita mo na ang baby mo.

mga sis, don't worry much about the labor pain.. sensya na sa kwento ko.. siguro mababa kasi tolerance ko sa pain or dahil din siguro induced ako... iba iba talaga ng experience yan, baka sa iba hindi naman ganon ka painful

basta isipin nyo lang, worth it lahat kasi kapag nakita nyo na baby nyo, mawawala lahat ng pagod at hirap.

i dont know what to expect talaga kung how painful is painful pero i'm expecting the worst. pero last night i got paranoid talaga. i've read in one article kasi to prepare advance directives (sort of will) before giving birth just in case something happens. so before we sleep, i told hubby na kung anuman ang mangyari sa kin, please take care of baby kate then napaiyak na lang ako. of course he assured me that everything will be ok pero gusto ko marinig na he will take care of our baby. ang hirap talaga naisip paano na yung gma bagay na ako lang ang may alam

^ sis parehas tayo... before i gave birth inayos ko din lahat including bank accounts lol and i told my husband whatever happens 1st priority namin si baby and not me.. ewan ko ba emotional din kasi akong tao.. and laging prepared.. open kasi ako sa lahat ng possibilities..

thank God and safe kami parehas ni baby.. she's turning 1 week old na tomorrow and ang lakas na dumede.

Hi sisses! Thank you for answering my questions about shaving... Inask ko si OB, sabi nya prerogative ko na lang raw if I want or not. Papatulong na lang ako kay hubby or sa mom ko. Hahaha!

Regarding last check-up, di pa ako in-IE, kasi wala pa naman daw ako major pains, pati medyo mataas pa raw tummy ko (@_@ kasi dami nagsasabi mababa na raw eh, then again she's the doctor, not me) so baka next Saturday check-up na lang.

Sis blouie11 --> Thanks sis! May prospect na kami. Kung magustuhan talaga and the price is right, gora na kami this week.

Sis katiztic --> May pinapagawa din si boss samin, pero di ko pa ginagawa. Tinatamad kasi ako, pati sa 15 naman last day ko na eh. Hahaha. Officemates ko na bahala dun.

Sis izabelle --> congrats ulit sis! salamat for telling your story. eeep, sakit pala talaga noh? takot na din tuloy ako. Pero most of the mommies that I asked, mas masakit raw magpagaling ng tahi after delivery. True ba yun?

Sis ladylucille --> wow, super brave mo. di ko ata keri magpawax. hehe. pero pwede pala may anesthesia? hmmmm.... napaisip ako dun ah.

Sis arabelle --> Hi sis! Sorry ngayon lang kita na-add. Confirm mo nalang ah. regarding contact... hmmm... nagstop na kami ni hubby nung 35-36 weeks, kasi nanigas bigla tumm ko at natakot si hubby, kaya sorry siya ng sorry kay baby Lucas. Pero kagabi, di kami nakatiis... Pero mejo slow lang, para hindi ako mapaanak agad. hehe. Nahiya din ako itanong kay OB yun eh.

Sis kaice --> Hala sis, parang napaisip na rin tuloy ako. 


Sisses, grabe kagabi, super nanigas yung tummy ko. Akala ko gogora na kami sa lying-in. Hubby was like, "Ano, tara na? Excited na ko eh!". Hahaha. Buti mga hubbies, wala man lang iintindihing sakit diba? Hahaha! Pero nawala naman yung paninigas eventually, pati di pa naman nagrupture bag of waters ko soooo pasok pa rin ako today kahit 30 mins late (boss? hahaha).

38 weeks na kami today! Hopefully mga 16 onwards, labas na si baby. Ngayon iniintindi namin yung paglipat sa new house. Ingat ingat mga sisses!

hay sisters.. ako feeling ko lagi manganganak na ako. pag nagwawalk ako, sumasakit na talaga yung lower part ng tummy ko tapos yung balakang ko, sobrang sakit na rin. pag tumatayo ako from sitting position, ang hirap na and feeling ko, may bumubuka sa pempem ko.

sa wednesday pa ang start ng weekly checkup ko. 36 weeks na kami going 37 sa saturday. sana sa checkup ko, magka-idea kami ni OB kung kelan talaga ang D day. gusto kasi ni hubby magfile ng emergency leave eh. sana nga para andito sha pag nanganak ako at hindi nya ma-miss itong event na to sa buhay namin.

kuliglig - excited pa kasi kayo sa honeymoon stage  pero it can induce delivery ha... pag ayaw mo ma-overdue pwede siguro. i read a story na after doing the deed at 40 weeks eh naglabor na si wifey... goodl uck sa lipat bahay, ingat lang medyo stressful yan...

rio - ako eh kamay ang masakit hehe! carpal tunnel syndrome kasi. pero tinatanong ko din kay huby kung nararamdaman ba kung bumubukas na ang cervix kasi may kakaibang feeling down there minsan haha!

^naku sis.. ako kasi talagang mababa na yung tyan ko. saka nararamdaman ko na yung ulo ni baby. parang tumutusok na.

ano ba talaga ang signs ng true labor?

Meron ba sa inyo nakakaexperience ng pain sa may pubic bone area? I have sharp pains kasi minsan pero short lang and nawawala agad. Part of labor na ba yun?

Sis kuliglig - thanks sa pag add sis! actually ayaw ko na ng contact muna kc ang hirap hehe parang si hubby lang ang masaya pero sabi nga kung makakatulong sa pagbilis ng labor go n [textspeak!] ako..

4 signs to watch out for sabe ni ob:

- consistent na paninigas/paghilab ng tummy, like 5-8times an hour, consistent and medyo matagal, lasting for more than 2 mins per interval and sunod sunod
- bloody show (unplugging of mucous plug). pwede ding brown basta medyo malagkit siya.
- water bag breakage. unlike wiwi, di daw siya macocontrol
- less movement of baby (this is the last thing you would want to experience)

sis normal lang daw yang pain na yan.  nag start ko maexperince yan nasa 34th week pa lang ako.  sa left side ko lagi nffeel yan.  ngayon 38wks & 5days na ko both sides na  at ang hirap na maglakad.  tuwa naman si ob ko dahil ibig sabihin nun naka position na si baby at dahil daw payat ako.

buti ikaw short lang at nawawala agad, ako consistent!  hay...

sis kamusta operation tagtag lakad nyo? ako wa epek.  last monday 1cm dilated na ko.  had check up ule today at nag IE si doktora, 1cm pa din! huwaaa... wala progress!!    eh left and right ng pelvic bone ko masakit na.  i asked her kung pwede induce nya na lang ako dahil ayoko manganak ng 40weeks at sa valentines day. kaya pinapag ultrasound nya ko today para tignan kung ano lagay ni baby.  then baka pwede nya na daw ako bigyan pampalambot ng cervix.  parang gel capsul daw.

napaisep ako sa parang last will sis. ako lang din nakakaalam ng lahat eh.    kausapin ko siguro tonight si hubby.  siguro gawa na din ako summary ng mga bilin ko (last will?! huwaaa... kalungkot naman..)

same here sis. parang bumubuka din pempem ko pag naglalakad ako.  at hindi lang pempem, pati sa butt ko! nyak!  ever since din mababa ako magbuntis kala nga ng iba boy magiging baby ko.

sis may topical anesthetia kasi kaya tapang tapangan ako. hehe.. medyo mahal lang lang yung anest cream.  nasa 500++ tapos maliit lang na tube.  ang maganda lang pag wax eh malinis talaga.  ayaw ko kasi ng shave. naiimagine ko pag tumubo parang hair sa bigote ni hubby! haha.. eh ang tigas pa naman nun.

thanks for the summary sis.  ako naman lagi ko observe ang movement ni baby.  kasi pwedeng mag ka still birth eh.  baka ikamatay ko yun! huwwaa...  9mos nasa tummy tapos pag labas wala din. baka mabaliw ako..

I'm medyo paranoid kasi...I've already had 2 failed pregnancies before, 1 singleton and 1 set of twins. Just want to make sure the baby is okay.

yung first ko (singleton), I had to deliver pero small lang naman siya. But I distinctly remember the pain. Grabe! I was in the LR of TMC. Sigaw ako ng Sigaw kasi hindi na ako tinatablan ng pain meds. And when they wheeled me into the delivery room for D&C, pag-transfer ko ng bed I saw I delivered the small fetus and placenta na.

The pain is just something I don't think I would wish even on my biggest enemy. Yung hilab niya parang dysmenorrhea plus brazilian wax plus lbm x 50 siguro....I have moderate pain tolerance but I guess that day was just one for the books!

My OB described contractions as coming from the top of the tummy, it's like the muscles at the top of the tummy will pull upwards daw and that causes the cervix to dilate. That made me think coz most of the pain I've felt is down low. I've read some other forums and labor pains really differ from person to person, some describe it as a tightening of the tummy, backache, dysmenorrhea or lbm like pain. I guess the one true sign of labor is that the contractions should come in set intervals starting from 20 minutes apart and getting shorter. Also, the pain will progressively get worse (as compared to braxton hicks). Of course water breaking is also a sign of labor, I believe you should give birth within 24 hours of your water breaking, so it's important to take note of the time your water broke. Mucus plug and bloody show could be a sign of impending labor but not immediately, My OB said sometimes the mucus plug show happens a week before labor.

Hubby and I have also talked about the worst case scenario, well actually I brought it up. I told hubby na if it comes to a point where they need to choose who to save, save the baby nalang. I've had my life na, the baby deserves to live it's life. Hubby wasn't very happy about it. Sa other things, the only thing under my name are my bank accounts - which my mom knows my ATM pin to anyways. All other valuables are with my mom parin and all other important docs are in both our names. I guess I should prepare some documents for insurance (I have to check what our company's policy is again).

Hay, also just wanna share. I have an aunt (mom's cousin) who gave birth prematurely, 2 weeks short of 7 months daw (so I'm thinking 26 weeks?) She was due to give birth pa in April but gave birth towards end of January. The doctors couldn't keep the baby in anymore and had to perform a c-section. It's a baby girl weighing 3 pounds. She's ok naman so far but of course in the NICU, the biggest concern is to keep her infection free, the doctors said her body isn't strong enough to fight off an infection. So sad talaga and I pray for the baby everyday since I learned the news. At 38 weeks I keep telling people I want our baby out na but at the same time it's scary rin. Whenever baby hasn't moved for awhile I poke my tummy to get her to push back and make sure she's ok.

that time kasi hindi ko pa masyado binibigyan ng attention yung mga dahilan, but more of nawalan ng heart beat si baby. yun lang daw sinabe sa kanila.

-bacterial infection
-birth defects, especially pulmonary hypoplasia
-chromosomal aberrations
-growth retardation
-intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy
-maternal diabetes
-high blood pressure, including preeclampsia
-maternal consumption of recreational drugs (such as alcohol, nicotine, etc.) or pharmaceutical drugs contraindicated in pregnancy
-postdate pregnancy
-placental abruptions
-physical trauma
-radiation poisoning
-Rh disease
-umbilical cord accidents

ang possible sa baby ng ate ko is yung umbilical cord accident, kasi maingat naman siya nung nagbubuntis siya and nagfull term pa nga siya.
