DIY cake arch, pillars, table centerpiece

hi mommies! any tips on how to make cake arch without using helium? I tried searching on you tube, but they're all using helium to make a balloon arch. TIA!

Nga pala about that non helium balloons same as what you see on youtube di ka lang gagamit ng helium. you just have to make a water weight sa ilalim ng both ends sa gitna nun both ends 4-cluster balloon at kusa na po syang tatayo.

as info, foil balloons with theme characters for table centerpieces are available in divi at 15 pesos a piece which pp's are selling at 250 while the balloons for the ceiling are selling at 450 pesos for every 100 pieces which is being sold by venue decorators at 2,000.  pp's should realize that not all mommies can splurge but certainly we all know how to shop and we enjoy finding ways to stretch our hubby's hard earned pesos.

@kareni- agree! Pricey talaga balloon arrangement sa mga pp.

If maliit lang naman venue, kayang kaya na natin siguro mag DIY. Aside sa malaki na natipid natin, labor of love pa.. Hehe. Yun nga lang, kailangan marami kang katulong na mag inflate ng balloon or else, ngarag ka sa party ni baby... hehe..

For almost 1k, i was able to buy 4packs 100pieces each of small and big sizes of metallic balloons, and other supplies..i made around 30pieces ceiling/flower clusters with lace, 8 simple table centerpieces and 1 cake arch..and super dami pang natira, siguro mga 300pieces or more pa..kinulang lang sa time, we started 8pm, finished 2am..3 kame who did this plus electric pump..Around 4-5k quote sa akin for ballonderitas, table centerpieces, cake arch and pillars..laking savings rin..

Ganun talaga mahal ang pagawa ng mga balloon decors kasi syempre they will also pay the people na gagawa hindi rin kasi madali gumawa ng decors alam yan ng mga mommies na nag DIY ng balloons and mahal din po ang magtraining sa balloon decorations kaya ganun.

If you can do it your self mas OK mas tipid talaga. Pero kasi like me, im planning to order pillar kasi me specific design ako na might not able to do kasi me candy buffet pako aasikasuhin kasi house party kami. aayusan ko pa yun mga tents lalagayn ko ng ceiling balloons. and me food for kids pa and lot more so if kaya pa ng powers then go else oorder nako ng pillar.

I'll do the bush balloons with flowers instead and ceiling balloons. Table centerpiece naman hmm parang wag na kasi mahangin sa amin haha baka lumipad. Though will ask my caterer for adult food if baka instead na flowers lalagay sa tables balloons nalang? hehe will see.

For balloons po, mas prefer ko bumili sa Lollipop they have branches at MOA, QC and Binondo. I've been buying from then since 2009. Though syempre me mga balloons padin na puputok lalo if you use indoor balloons for outdoor. Havent tried sa kyla Mae pa kasi per 100s, 50s sila minsan tingi lang nee ko e depende sa gagawin ko decor.

mura talaga if u will be the one who will make your balloon arrangements.AS IN .. nagiging mahal lang naman sa mga PP kasi they also pay for their helpers to assist them on doing those..but u can find reasonable package from them just ask and lagi namang me swak sa budget nyo.. kasi ang binabayaran dun is yung stress na ikaw pa ang magdedecor sa party mo (na hindi biro) unless you have a big family or lots of friends na pedeng tumulong sa decor mo..

on mylars naman.. mura talaga sa divi kasi China lang naman mga mylars dun..PPs dont exaggerately charge on mylars na tig 35 lang tas 250 ang pasa nila for a piece? sobra naman  lollipop offers imported mylar and price starts at 45eac (maliit lang yan ha) and most PPs order from them. saka sa divi mura lang nga mylar but u have to buy ng sobra sobra dahil most of it eh madaling mag deflate..so kung 10 ang need mo, better buy 20 para me reserba

yeah that is true. Yun sa lollipop kasi or sa colortex they sell their mylar yun 18 inches at 80-100 pesos yun iba 100+++ yun nasa bigger size like yun mga animal shape nasa 300-500++ as in kasi imported yun. I bought my elmo mylar way back 2010 pa at divimall sa taas ako bumili its china pero 35 pesos na nun. meron pala mas mura sa baba yun nga 10 pesos nalang pero mabilis po sya magdeflate ewan bakit kasi yun friend ko bumili ng mylar na tinker bell 10 pesos isa sa awa ng dyos di pa nangangalahati yun party parang nauubos na hangin nun karamihan sa mylar nya.

Ako yun nabili ko nun na 35 out of 11 isa ang me butas. At me inflate ako yun ginawa ko model sa pagprapractice ko since summer up to august buhay na buhay ginagahasa pa ni briel. Maybe i bought better brand that time?

If gusto nyo talaga mag DIY kailangan ng practice at manpower on the event day. Hindi po kasi biro mag inflate ng balloons lalo pag ceiling. ang dami nun. at iba pang decor..

Thanks for this thread!  I'm planning my kids 7th birthday and balak ko din may DIY sa balloons kasi nga sobrang mahal eh medyo mabilis lang naman gawin yun. I won't be making arch naman kasi.  As in simple para lang hindi maging pale yung party ko. Baka ang gamitin ko lang eh mettalic balloons sa ceiling metallic balloons lang na nakalambitin lalagyan lang naman ng tape yun sa taas then flower balloon siguro which I forgot na how to do it.

Balloonderitas:
1. inflate mo lang yun balloons (10/11/12 inches) up to 2 inches smaller than the actual size.
2. itape mo yun pinakatop ng balloons sa nylor string. Mga 1 1/2 ft ang layo ng balloons sa isat isa pwede na.
3. then attach curled ribbon sa me tie part ng balloons. pwede mo itie mismo dun yun ribbon

Balloondrops

yan yun ganun din ang pag attach kagaya sa balloonderitas pero pababa ang pag sabit mo as in hang mo mga 3-4 balloons. pwede of different sizes.

yun balloonderitas kasi horizontal ang pag hang ng nylon itie mo yun dalawa dulo ng nylon sa wall or poste.

mga sis, yung balloon pump ba may different kinds? what i need is a balloon na lumilipad kase. anong pump dapat dun? sensya na clueless talaga ako.

mahal ang helium.. by tank sha bibilhin if sa mga gas suppliers.. 27K nung huling nagtanong ako..that was last year.. kung pang gamit mo lang naman.. pa helium mo na lang sa mga balloon shop like lollipop.. nasa 80-100 each ata sha

meron yung mura.. hydrogen.. yun yung ginagamit nung mga manong na nagtitinda sa simbahan .. but we dont use it, highly combustible kasi sha..
