Sisses can i ask , is 500k budget enough to be married in St. James? as in lahat lahat na. Manggaling kami ni h2b sa Los Banos Laguna. What do u think? San ba mura mag reception and preps? Ganda kasi ng St. James Tia!

^depende sis eh if super tipid I think kaya naman? almost 500k nagastos ko sakin. Clubhouse and catering. Tipid sa ibang bagay like my gown.

iadd ko lang sis mahirap maghanap ng venue malapit sa St. James since puro hotels and yung mga venue 30k pataas ang price.

Let me share my St. James experience and some advice to help soon-to-weds. We got married last 26/Dec/15. I think everything went well naman sa wedding.

LONG READ:

1. Check with Sis Carol yung precana seminar dates. its 2 sessions whole day. After you have your precana, Sis Carol will provide the marriage banns ibibigay to your respective parokya. Once nabalik nyo na yung marriage banns next step is the canonical interview with the priest[/li][/list]

2. Make sure to have your wedding coordinator, photographer and videographer take their seminar at least 2 weeks prior the wedding.

3. Ento and Bride’s Gown. I wore off-shoulder, hindi naman ako sinita. For the bridesmaids, much better kung may shawl sila specially for the 2ndary sponsors. For the readers, may ipapa-suot yung St. James na toga.

4. Principal Sponsors. Make sure Sister Carol got the names of your principal sponsors, if there are any changes let her know. What happened to us, yung iba principal sponsor hindi nasama sa wedding contract.

5. Picture Taking. We had little time for the picture taking kasi pinapaalis na kami sa loob ng Church may mass kasi after. So make sure to start the wedding ON-TIME.[/li][/list]

I highly recommend, you bring your own priest. It was suggested din by Sis Carol. Make sure you submit all the Church requirements 3 weeks prior.

    may nabasa ako sa thread dito na pwede magshare ng flowers sa St.James The great? pwede pa rin ba siya ngayon? saw the latest rate ng mother butler and yung basic nila is 17k na. I don't want to spend so much sa flowers pa lang e. so badly need your advice. Thanks!

^yung parish priest sis, alam ko dapat sya magkakasal pero iba yung nagkasal samin which is super galing mag sermon! wala pa nga 30minutes yung interview sis mas matagal pa kami nagbyahe kesa sa interview hehe

Finally done with our canonical interview. We were originally scheduled last Wednesday pero Tuesday afternoon tumawag si Sr Carol na walang available priest. Nakiusap lang kami na i-schedule kami within the week kasi babalik na ako ng Singapore by sunday. Buti na lang may available na priest nung Friday.

Pagdating namin kay Sr Carol, may pinasagutan lang sya samin na paper tapos kinausap na kami ng priest. Sabay kami ni h2b na kinausap, wala pa atang 10 mins tapos na kami. Tinanong lang nya gano na kami katagal and pano kami nagmeet, nung narinig nya na 8 years na kami ni h2b pinipirmahan na nya yung paper namin hehe.

Konting chika chika lang si Father about being faithful to each other and dapat daw no secrets sa aming dalawa =)

I fell in love with this church in the photos my wedding planner showed to me. We are searching for churches on-line for some options though I am eyeing St. Andrew Cathedral at first. So yun, I feel that I cannot let go of this church kahit challenging ang paghahanap namin ng venue. Ask ko lang girls who got married here, saan kayo nag-venue? TIA!

Is the pre-cana seminar at St. James the Great Parish exclusive to couples to be wed on the said church?

Their cenomar is matagal, like 2 days if i remember correctly. But its worth it! Its very thorough and para kayong nag mini-couples retreat. Our cenomar made us closer and we enjoyed it.

Plus the church looks great!
