Internet workout sis? hehe

Anyway if you meant HIIT (High intensity interval training) for me a good workout video for that would be Turbo Fire or Insanity. I highly prefer Turbo Fire more. It keeps the workout fun and less boring with a mix of moves(aerobic, taekwondo, capoeira, dancing, etc) and funky music. I did Turbo Fire and lost weight + gained definition I didn't know I had with my arms, calves, etc.

Anyway a lot of people started moving in the place I'm living at now so I don't have the space and privacy anymore to do workout videos  :-\ and I've been trying to do this at the gym. It's definitely 56 times less fun than workout videos. hehe but still...PUUUSH.

At the gym, I just use the machine timer for it but if you want your own I think a stopwatch would work. Also some new machines now I see at the gym have this part of the programs you can choose from. And if you're going to do workout vids, then you won't need a timer as there is a timer on the corner of the video.

GOOD LUCK!

If you have an ipod, you don't need an interval timer. :)

1) get / compile your favorite running songs (as many as you want)
2) in iTunes, compile them in one playlist
3) per song, find a one minute sample (ie chorus part only or whatever you want)
4) save the playlist and sync to your ipod

now you have choice cuts of your favorite workout songs! You'll know when to shift to a different exercise / change intensity when the song changes. :)

I did this when doing HIIT (running / jogging), circuit training (30 secs instead of 1 minute), or Immuvit's Metafit program for runners / cyclists. really effective and cost efficient although now, upon hearing some songs i involuntarily curse thinking i should exert 100% effort again. :)
