Wala kasi akong makitang thread for this country and I was hired as PT and will be going there end of this month. meron bang mga tips kung anong pwedeng gawin or saan okay puntahan during rest days?

pahingi narin ng tips ng mga kakailangan dalhin lalo na kung magtatagal dun?

hi sis, I was in Bahrain from 2007-2010.  If you will be going by the end of the month, malamig sa Bahrain ngayon, winter kasi pero di naman tulad ng winter sa Canada na may snow, siguro ang temperature is the same as Qatar, kasi nag 16degrees din dito. 

Open country of Bahrain kaya may mga bars pero more or less eh tulad din sya ng ibang ME countries, muslim pa din ang majority.  Sa liit ng Bahrain, pwede mo ikutin ng 1 araw ang mga tourist attractions.

ang sabi nga sa ibang thread..its more open than Dubai. Like mrong beerhouse daw, tapos you can buy alcohol in a hotel then bring it home. At kahit sumuka ka sa kalasing sa daan at makita ka ng police eh deadma lang hanggat hindi ka nakaka abala sa ibang tao.

Mura bilihin chaka mura ang tirahan. KOnti ang recreational activities so meaning marami kang maiipon. yehhey!! Mabrook sis!!

Hi sis! The others are right, Bahrain is so open na din, its not going to be as much of a big change for you as long as you really set your expectations low, i mean, it's still different from Pinas, but not like other ME countries naman, especially like Saudi.
Regarding what things to bring, it would be what essentials you can't really do without because we're not sure you'll be able to buy it there. Suggestion lang: bring your most trusted medicines, kasi for sure, what you're used to is not available there. Ako kasi dependent sa Dolfenal when i get dysmenorrhea and it's not available here (Qatar) - or if it is, i'm not aware of it yet. hehe

ok naman ang bahrain.. We're here since 2005... dito na lumaki ang mga kids ko, I can say its safe to go out kahit mag isa ka lang.

andito na ako sa Bahrain, one month na rin. (medyo nagkaroon ng aberya sa papers ko kaya natagalan)

May mga rally/protests parin pero controlled naman. May specific area lang din.

Napansin ko lang, dito kasi ginagawa nilang preventive measures ang tear gas, kaya halos gabi gabi na lang. Nung una, kinabahan ako kasi diba sa Pinas, last resort na ang tear gas LOL, yun pala, normal lang siya dito :p

Mainit na dito ngayon. Its around 35-41 Celsius. Kahit nga ngayong gabi, ang init init parin sa labas (its almost 12mn na)

@Akeir, depende siguro kung anong work ang hinahanap mo. Direct hire yung sa akin but kasi may nagrefer sa akin kaya ganun. Mostly talaga, dumadaan sa agency or pumupunta dito as tourist, tsaka lang maghahanap ng work. Although hindi ko alam kung gaano kahirap (or kadali) maghanap ng work.

sis snowflakesdance, i was interviewed last week for a post in Bahrain through agency. In any chance do you get to see MAK for Food Industries company? I think they are known for MAK lang talaga. I am not sure if i passed the interview kasi next week pa daw ang result eh but i would like to get feedback sana for this company. Wala kasi ata sila website eh. If ever it's going to be my first time in abroad kaya i'm scared din. I want to make sure kahit papano.

^sis, kumusta na interview... Sa mga pinagtanungan ko, isa lang ang may alam about sa MAK. Pero hindi niya rin sure kung ano ang working environment sa loob since wala rin siyang kakilalang nagtatrabaho dun.

sis snowflakesdance, i had my final interview kanina. it went well naman. kaso 50-50 ako. kasi 40k lang offer, free accomodation and transpo. okay na ba yun? tapos 2yrs pa ako pwede makauwi for vacation one month which is paid naman. karamihan daw sa kanilang employees ay mga pinoy.

40K a month is malaki na sis especially kasi pagkain mo lang naman ang gastos mo dito. libre naman kuryente and tubig. And most cases naman talaga, 2 years talaga ang contract (I think kahit sa ibang countries) and one month vacation nga.

my application went well naman sis. sabi sa akin they will call me within the week for finalization of papers. ewan ko sis i'm still torn. i'm thinking so much about my 2yr old daughter if ever. kung single lang ako no doubt tatanggapin ko yung offer. bahala na si God.
