all about RAMEN

Nung isang araw pa 'ko nagccrave ng ramen.  Di ko lang mapagtiyagaang magmaneho sa traffic papuntang little tokyo para lang dun. haist. sana this weekend makasimple ako sa tamagoya, suki ako sa stamina ramen.

though meron ding ramen/noodle house sa may lilac, malapit sa chinabank sa marikina. bagong bukas lang. my brother and eldest son have tried it na. masarap daw e, saka laki ng serving. tapos you get to pick the broth and other things you want to put in your noodle/ramen

i really liked UCC's Shio Tonkotsu Ramen. but i think ramen is only offered on selected branches. merong ramen dun sa branch nila sa EDSA corner Ayala Ave, yung sa may gas station. ang laki ng serving, may kasama ng egg. di ko naubos yung isang serving kahit anong pilit ko.

my family tried Ramen Yushoken, my order was Shio Tonkotsu Ramen, but nakitikim din ako nung orders nila, Shoyu Tonkotsu Ramen and Tan Tan Men. mas gusto ko pa yung Shio Tonkotsu Ramen ng UCC. na-disappoint ako. pero mas masarao yung Tamago nila, pero extra order.

Addicted to ramen here!

So far, here's a partial list of what I've tried:

1. Ajisen Ramen - milky soup, love the noodles, firm.
2. Ryu Ramen & Curry - owned by Ogie Alcasid. Love the Tantanmen, regular lang yung spiciness.
3. Nomama - They use fresh and organic ingredients.
4. Genya Tonkotsu Ramen - rich and flavorful soup
5. Ramen Bar - so-so lang for me. I'm not used to medyo clear broth eh.
6. Ramen X - parang instant noodles lang
7. Yushoken Ramen at Molito, Alabang - so far, this is my no.1 ramen restaurant. Dati Ajisen and Ryu eh . Malayo nga lang.

Nihonbashitei along Pasay Road serves really good ramen. Madami pa ang serving, usually good for two. My officemate naman like Wrong Ramen.

Pasuggest naman ng authentic ramen restaurant sila inlaws kasi natira sa Japan kaya naghahanap ng authentic ramen dito miss na daw nila, nakakain na kami sa ajisen masarap pero di pa din daw ganun kaauthentic.

My favorites are:

Santouka - Gloriette 4 (kasi worth it yung mga set meals!)
Kitchitora - Megamall

Ikkoryu is okay din - pero i personally like Santouka better.

I haven't Ukokkei-d ever!! kaya... hahahaha!!!

Shinjuku is okay din naman.  More affordable ramens..

Thanks sis domestic diva sa suggestions will bring them sa little tokyo para maraming choices. Sigurado matutuwa sila inlaws. :-)

is truly japanese as well as the food

Sis Antigone, you're not alone. My hubby doesn't appreciate Ramen as well. He'd rather
have sashimi, teppanyaki and chahan!

@sis hungry devil, try mo ang Ajitama Tonkotsu Ramen.
Karaage is techinically fried chicken.
It's nice to eat something crunchy when you're having sabaw. Gyoza is good too!

di namin nagustohan ang tantanmien. we went back there the 2nd time, but ordered another ramen. naoilyhan kami sa tantanmien nila.

I'm ok with Ramen Yushoken. Not saying it's the best but it's one of the better ones it's in Alabang.
