another question please. my daughter has a k1 workbook but i forgot to ask if they need to bring this to school everyday. hindi kasi kasya sa skip hop zoo backpack, which is what she will be using. ayoko naman na sana bumili ulit ng bag. would anyone know if they need to bring this to school and how often? thanks.

^^my daughter is taking gymnastics

^they'll leave that in school. I don't remember my daughter bringing it at home throughout the school year. after getting the workbook, I had it photocopied so I can have a copy at home for reviews and exercises.

As of Thursday, hindi ko pa nakuha the uniform which I pre-ordered. Grabe pasukan na sa Wednesday. Those assigned in making the uniforms are soooo inefficient!

i know! sa daughter ko naman when she tried it at home, super laki. the size was too far from the sample. I have to bring it back on monday. wala din the jogging pants. Hindi naman ganun last year.

Start of classes for my daughter's level was delayed (again) to June 22. Confirm with the school if your daughter/s is/are affected too

I went to Poveda this afternoon, i think the classrooms are not totally ready for Wed. that's why they needed to delay the opening of classes agian.
Still, the uniforms of my daughter are not ready as well. Late daw kase dumating ang tela which they ordered from HK. I told them..howcome my co-mommies who ordered the uniforms the same day as mine got theirs already?

Hi mommies, I went back to poveda today and got the skirts only.  the blouses daw sa July pa available   During the orientation the teacher said that if there are no uniforms yet, your child can wear white blouse and maong. 

Sayang excited na ako.   Are there any incoming grade 1 mommies here? Were you able to take down notes as to the schedule of the special subjects? like what days are for PE and music?  I want to make a schedule kasi to show my daughter.

i got lucky lang din pala with the uniforms i pre-ordered for my and my sister's daughters. they said ready by may 29. my sister went there to get her car stickers and buy the workbooks then she saw the pink pants sets already available for sale. she was supposed to buy but i said i already paid for our pre-order so she just claimed the uniforms, binigay even without the receipt.

My mistake I didn't order the uniforms upon enrollment. My daughter's yaya went on a vacation and we couldn't find where she kept the old uniforms. I wanted to see how many she can still reuse. Turns out she can only reuse 1. I should have bought all new ones.

^^schedule of PE will depend on your daughter's section.

rackoy: my daughter is incoming grade 1. What's the section of your daughter? Grabe naman, July pa?? When did you order the uniform? Yes, the teacher said they can wear jeans & white shirt if uniforms are not yet available. But as much as possible, I don't want my daughter to come in school wearing that cause I don't want her to feel odd.

Solysal Corp (the one who provides the uniforms) fails again! Came back yesterday to pick up the replacement for my daughter's blouses. They scheduled it for Thursday but I decided to go Friday. Wala pa daw! I started arguing with them kasi mine wasn't a new order but merely a replacement of the wrong size they initially gave me. I ordered small, they gave me medium. Seeing I'm already getting irate, they opened the package of another person's order and got 2 blouses from it. To follow na lang the 3rd one daw on Monday. I really hate what they did (getting from other person's order) but my daughter won't have anything to wear on Monday! All of her old blouses are bitin on her because of a growth spurt over summer. Hopefully available by Monday the 3rd one or else wash and wear kami. Need to get too her jogging pants. Her old ones looked like Capri pants on her.

^ sis, i got their mobile numbers para talagang kulitin ko sila. The last time I told them, pasasagot ko na sa kanila parking fee & gasoline ko pag hindi ko pa nakuha uniform. Today, there were 2 classmates of my daughter wearing civilian clothes. I think that's what they do..they pull out other uniforms when they are pressured. Kase they told us it will be ready by 1st week of June. I didn't go there & thinking na makukuha ko during the orientation, nagpatagal pa ko.

By the way, the dismissal this morning was really chaotic & disorganized. Grabe, after changing all the guards, ang gulo-gulo. Even Ate Merly was not there anymore.

^did they change the guards recently? Wala na ba dun yong lady guard sa may preschool?

Do your kids bring extra set of uniforms sa bag nila or extra set of civilian clothes lang?

Yes nag change sila ng guards start ng June. Now it made sense yung sabi ng daughter ko that everyone was saying goodbye to Manang Merle last May 29 when she was in school for gymnastics. Re the dismissal, it is quite chaotic nga lalo na if sabay sabay labasan (if it's just 1 level manageable). Plus some fetchers dagsaan to the gate. Before kasi we were not allowed to get near the gate. We have to leave the IDs by the Lanuza gate then ipapasok yun sa loob. The guard will just announce the kid's name and that the only time the fetcher will have to approach the gate.

I dont have a point of comparison regarding dismissal procedures because this is our first year in poveda. But yesterday was not so chaotic naman. I guess maybe because a lot of us were first timers and first day pa so excited kaya medyo magulo ng konti but i wont naman say it was chaotic. The 2 k1 classes halos sabay na dismiss, but the 2nd class fell in line behind the 1st para di magulo.

Hopefully maayos today.

club launching on july 10. I asked the teacher if I need to buy the club shirts sold in school or if any shirt will do as long as it is the correct color. she said any shirt will do. so good na lang din I didn't buy the club shirt. maybe not required for k1?

hello Povedan mommies. Yesterday I sent an email to Ms Riza Martinez inquiring about the application for Pre K next school year if my daughter will already qualify. My daughter will turn 3 on May 26, 2016 and based from Ms Riza's replyPre Kinder Sy 2016-2017 birthday should be between November 2012 - October 2013 so my daughter will already qualify for next school year's Pre kinder and I am excited to apply and Ms Riza said application already started July 1-November 14, 2015. If I may ask what kind of examination will they give? what kind of assessment? I already enrolled my daughter just a small school inside our vilage hopefully this will help my daughter to get to bigger schools. Any tips mommies??. TIA

^ my daughter had her K2 assessment last year. When I asked her what she did inside the room with the teacher, she said that she was asked to read, to identify colors and to follow instructions. Say put the blue ball in the blue pale etc. she was also asked to write her name. It would def be different (a bit easier or less complex for Pre K). Good luck to your daughter sis.
