Notice-be cautious when buying vouchers

NOTE that this topic was moved to the Scam Alert page due to the initial post of Larraine. If the nature of the thread was intended to purely inform voucher buyers of on going scams names should not have been listed and a more personal approach should have been taken by both parties and not publicly aired out. Given Larraine's upset over the transaction with Hermione28, followed by other volatile remarks by members and reports,  this scam alert remains as a precautionary measure for buyers who may come across sellers who may not deem themselves liable for any unusable voucher transactions, this thread does not serve as a breeding ground for badgering and taunting.

Until both agree to any arrangement this thread will remain public.

I still have an unredeemed groupon I bought from Vouchers for Less, it's a hotel reservation for early next year. I know, I shouldn't have but I took the odds coz at the time I got it, there were scores of hotel and food vouchers getting sold left and right and apparently no one had any trouble using them. I received the voucher and was able to book it and I even sent a copy of said groupon to the merchant. So far, I have not gotten any repudiation or whatsoever as I called them up just so to inform them that Ive followed the booking requirements to the letter. Im a lil worried though coz it was meant to be a gift for a wedding anniversary. But I did make sure that I have a fallback plan coz I ve another hotel voucher within the same area. Anyway, for those who have purchased from them and claimed it this late, were you still able to use them seamlessly?

napakaswerte naman ng scammer na ito kung wala na ang name niya. after all hindi naman ipopost ni sis larraine ang full name ng manloloko if hindi siya naloko di ba?

i am disappointed since akala ko mag si-side ang gt mods sa victim. im sure ngvi-viva na yung nag scam kase wala na ang name niya. nakakatakot baka mas madami pang gumaya sa scammer since di naMan pala pwedeng ibroadcast ang name niya.

sis larraine, i hope bayaran na ng nanloko sa iyo yung pera. sana kahit konti ma-konsensiya siya. nakakatakot kase na para lang sa napaka small amount lumabas ang true ugali ng scammer. lahat talaga nagbabago pagdating sa pera.

dun naman sa scammer, kawawa ka naman.

all's well that ends well. im happy for u hermione28, u finally decided to do the right thing.
i dont mind na delete na ang name mo, since i believe in giving chances to those who make mistakes. paying a debt is a way of correcting your mistake. but i hope u also find it in your heart to be humble & appreciate fellow Gtalkers who expresses their opinion & gave advices. if u insist to have the last say, i hope it's a positive one, not out of spite, sarcasm & anger to everyone who only want to help fellow Gtalkers, and to protect the integrity of this community/forum.

I read all the comments here and I think maayos nahandle ni sis larraine ang ginawa sa kanya ni sis hermione28. She was never offensive or palengkera, just my pov.

Good job mga sis! I think the ladies here helped sis larraine to get her P500 back and for sis hermione28 to learn a lesson.

fyi. matagal na ko nag message kay sis larraine na babayaran ko sya. ang problema kasi dito na hindi nyo rin maamin amin sa sarili nyo, over acting kayo sa nangyari hindi nyo naman alam buong storya. ok lang sana saken kung ako lang inaadvice nyo. kaso kung makapag salita kayo akala nyo alam nyo buong story. oo mali mga sinabi ko pero sa tingin ko mas mali pa din mga unang reaction nyo.

anyway nag message ulit ako kay sis larraine and sa moderator. as the moderator said malolock yung thread kapag na settle na namen ni sis larraine and we both agree to lock the thread.
