Activities during cocktail hour / before reception

Mga sis pa-suggest naman ng activities na pwede habang naghihintay yung mga bisita sa reception. Im also looking for templates/ideas of this kinda activity board/paper(?), yung parang mga funny quiz/word games similar sa mga placemats ng mga resto. Thanks!

Hi Sis.

If your guests mostly know each other, I think its okay not to have activities for as long as there are drinks and pica pica. A lot of people use this time to interact and make chika with other guests.

Otherwise, here are a few ideas:

1. Photobooth time!
2. Interactive guest book
3. "Video interviews" of people's messages to you and your hubby.

we won't have games kasi medyo stiff mga chinese but we will have a candy buffet, photobooth and a wishing tree.

sis samin, photobooth, then mag play lang ang prenup video plus interview samin ni h2b  namin sa reception.
i planned to DIY a cootie catcher, but naisip ko, baka di mag enjoy ang guests namin dun. hehe

question on this.. aside from cocktail food and photobooth, advisable ba na magstart na magbigay ng drinks yung mobile bar? di pa kami sure kung maggaganito kami pero naisip ko lang baka naman lasing na mga tao before dinner

I am thinking about this too...so far Photobooth pa lang naiisip ko to entertain 150 guests

ako so far eto palang : Photobooth and Mobile Bar plus cocktails. Sabi ni chef kiko bibigyan niya ako candy buffet so  probably kasama yun. Bibili nalang ako pandagdag sa candy buffet like biscuits, nuts, chips, and m&ms.

Sana ok yung lahat sa guests. Ang dami na nun ha LOL

Sis try to ask you guests if they will drink before the reception. Or maybe assess mo yung bulk ng guests mo kung iinom sila. As long as may cocktails and food to binge, ok ang mobile bar 

Yugn ibang guests ko sabi nila talaga mobile bar daw kagad sila pag dating palang reception. Napabook tuloy ako bigla ng supplier

during cocktails our guest will be served with pica pica and drinks. then some of them can go with the onsite studio to have their photos taken.

naka pag attend ako ng wedding, photobooth din sa kanila. naku mabentang mabenta talaga sa guests. as in enjoy talaga! kasama na kami dun. wedding to ni sis blueflame. hehe

I have attended a wedding in The Peninsula Manila with cocktail hour. Ang tagal nga e. Nakatayo lang, waiters will serve pica pica. Meron silang strings so yung mga matatanda e nakikinig lang tapos yung iba naman e chika with friends. Nung open na yung photobooth e yun na ang pinagkaguluhan ng mga guests. hehe

thanks sis jazzlawyer, medyo half kasi ng guests namin oldies eh pero yung other half i'm sure e papatok ang mobile bar at photobooth. sana kaya pa ng budget

We have mobile bar, photobooth, and pica. Advisable ba magpa-games pa? Are there games you can suggest, aside from ISpy?

We are having the same problem because our ceremony ends at 2:30 and the reception starts at 5 or 5:30pm pa. We chose the 1 pm slot at church for a different reason--- the fiance is a budding photog and he wants us to be done with the ceremony and already taking pictures at 3-5pm when the light is at its best.

Now my prob is the huge 2 or 2.5 hour gap between the end of the ceremony and the start of the reception. We'll be serving cocktails and juices but im not sure if this is enough to prevent boredom for 2 hours. I'm thinking about whether we need games. I went to a wedding that had about the same gap and provided games, halos wala naman pumasin. Everyone's just standing and talking and eating.
So will they really see value in it or better to just provide more/ better food and no activities for 2 hours?

^serve cocktails and drinks, plus good music sis. if you don't like games, and not the photo booth lover type, there's another mobile photo studio called Photo Popular by Ronly Perez. There will be a mini studio setup in your reception venue and your guests can have their portraits taken there. So if you have like 200 guests, then individual / per couple ang photo taking, siguro naman that is good enough to keep the guests preoccupied while waiting for the newly weds. It's far better than the photo booth and the last time I inquired it's around 13k.
