Tagaytay (Thread 8)

We went to Tagaytay last weekend, June 14-15. it was a budget weekend getaway with our two kids. We stayed at Keni Po, room c which had a queen size bed,cable tv, ref, aircon, hot and cold shower. Sharing with you our itinerary and expenses:

Day 1 - June 14, Fri
10am - left manila
12nn - lunch at Buon Giorno (P1000) and Taal lake photo op
1pm - check in Keni Po
3pm - Residence Inn Mini Zoo (P299 each for adults = P598; my 4-yr old kids free); food for the animals (P20 each x 2 = P40)
4:30pm - Horseback riding also in Residence Inn (P50 each with 3 rounds. My kids enjoyed this we spent P350) - bring alcogel or alcohol to wash your hands after
5pm - went to Robinsons Summit Ridge for grocery (alcohol, beer). bought swimming shorts in the tiangge (P360). i didnt bring because of typhoon Butchoy but there was no typhoon in Tagaytay and water in swimming pool was warm.
6pm - went back to Keni Po to swim
8pm - dinner at RSM Lutong Bahay (P1000) - mejo pricey for us 2 adults coz the kids hindi naman matakaw, puro tikim lang
9pm - went to sleep

Day 2 - June 15, Sat
8am - breakfast in the room; asked hot water from Keni Po kitchen. i just brought sandwiches, mamon, and 3-in-1 coffee
9:30am - went to Paradizoo (entrance fee already included in Residence Inn fee). Bought food for the fishes P10 each x 2 = P20. Bought food for birds and rabbit P10 x 3 = P30. Bought fresh goat's milk  for us P50. Fed the goat P30. Bought drinks after tiring walk P60. - just bring water, alcohol and extra clothes
11am - lunch at Viewsite (P1500) - again, we ordered too many food for us 2. We took home the left over
12nn - check out Keni Po (P1500)

We spent around P6500, plus roundtrip gas (P1000) and toll (P358). Almost P8000 all in all. Thanks for reading and enjoy your next trip to Tagaytay

we will go there kasi on July 7 with my BF's friends, mag mamahogany kami tapos drinks after. kesa sa dencios sila uminom baka gusto nila mag tides

taal vista hotel has ongoing promo (75% off the west wing rooms). looking at the room rates it's very tempting to grab the promo. unfortunately i've been reading feedback regarding the west wing rooms being old.
meron na po bang nakapagstay dito? kindly provide feedback naman.

baka may alam kayo na budget hotel near nurture spa tagaytay. wedding kasi ng friend ko doon and I think pricey ang room rates sa nurture spa kaya gusto magstay sa ibang hotel na malapit lang. Isasama ko din kasi ang family ko from province kaya tipid mode din kasi madami kami. baka may maisasuggest kayo sa akin.

^ hi sis. i'm not sure kung san banda ang nurture spa, pero if you're looking for a budget hotel, I think 5R Rooms for Rent can be an option. They're offering P1K for standard room without aircon, 1.5K pag aircon. Pero I think okay na kahit standard room lang since malamig naman sa Tagaytay.

Thanks sis! may water heater ba don sa 5R? kasi hindi ako makapaligo ng walang hot water. nagkakasakit kasi agad ako. weakling ako. hehe!

well, merong bath tub ang Windy Ridge - actually it's also a whirlpool jacuzzi! imagine having a jacuzzi in your own bathroom. so nice! ok naman ang rooms nila, nice view, though hindi private ang veranda. pero di masyadong professional ang mga staff nila ha. once, may nakita akong hair strand sa food ko (baka naman exception lang ito, tsaka last year pa ito, baka nag-improve na sila). good location ang hotel. pero in terms of the jacuzzi tub, yun ang pinaka-nagustuhan ko.

meron ding bath tub yung isang room sa Boutique Bed & Breakfast, yung most expensive room - pero can't comment on that kasi di ako dun nag-stay. sa regular room lang ako, hehe. sobrang nice ang room, ang bed, ang view! but i wont be coming back - kasi medyo manipis yata ang walls nila, either that o malakas lang talaga mag-scream yung nasa next room. kasi i can hear the screaming from the next room! kumusta naman!

@nems03, the suite of the Theodore hotel has a nice, deep, green tub. It's a little bit cheaper than the Boutique B&B next door. Okay pa yung mga staff nila and their food is also good.

Mga sis, sino na naka-try mag stay sa tagaytay haven hotel? Nakita ko sa site nila parang ang mura then mukhang malinis. At malapit daw ito sa jollibee and savemore? Tama ba? Salamat sa magrereply

^ sis doc, may heater sa 5R.. medyo native din kasi ako kaya kahit hindi ganun kalamig, lagi akong naghe-heater..

^ sis nems03, we have tried mag-stay sa tagaytay haven hotel, pero sa ulat, hindi 'yung malapit sa jollibee.. We booked for a container room, and hindi ko expected na ganun kaganda at luwag 'yung loob.. sad part is, hindi gumagana 'yung heater nila pero overall, I'm satisfied naman.. I'm not sure 'yung malapit sa jollibee if okay.
