^i think mas maigi  if you go get opinions from doctors or other sites and forums re cancer since rare din siguro among gtalkers ang may maexperience na ganito. with my brother in law he survived and is doing fine and nasa sister mo rin how willing is she to fighting it. so from the last doctors visit ano na plan ng sister mo? kung di rin sya open sa surgery there's only so much you can do and if you want it maagapan dapat aggressive kayo sa paghanap ng doctor and second opinion kahit ikaw magkusa to bring the tests for them to review and see what they'll say.

check mo suggestion ni DocShe to go see si Dr. Ang if you haven't pa. From one blog ito nakalagay  "Chinese General Hospital for an appointment with my surgical oncologist, Dr. Samuel Ang"...and here "He also holds clinic at St. Luke’s Hospital and at Cardinal Santos Hospital."

its been a week now since my sister got operated.. from icu shes now in a room..she was the fifith patient to be whippled by her dr.  hopefully evrything will be alright in Gods will..

a military dr from vluna gen hosp. 5 drs. headed by dr. capili...now as i typ here my sis is suffering sever pain from the stomach..since yesterday when they allowed her to eat any food she  wants but since shes still careful of her situation she only eat LUGAW muna...they gave her tramadol for pain and shes asleep now..

when i see this update ninenerbyos ako siempre hindi kasi natin alam how tomoroww will come out. glad to know na your sister is getting treatments and went through the surgery. support na ng pamilya ang kailangan nya and a lot of patience from all of you.  yeah ganun and nanghihina sila tapos mawawalan sila gana to eat if so ask the doctor for supplements siguro she needs all the sustansya and the food eh metallic ata ang magiging panlasa nya kahit have her take ensure.

shes done with her first cycle of chemo and anytime the dr. will schedule her next cycle..shes doing fine after 10 days

i have a question abiut ct scan is it possible that radiologist make a mistake in reading the result.. my sis was already whippled meaning half of her pancreas and the head mass was removed...how come the result of ct scan still reads that she has pancreatic head mass 5cm or pancreatic CA..
so confusing...

^hmmm,  kasama sa whipple surgery yung resection of pancreatic head.  did they compare it to the previous CT?  usually, they compare it to the previous one so you can monitor if the mass is gone, bigger, smaller, or detect any other changes.

first, mommy23, sorry for ambushing your thread. i just have the same concern with you. btw, how is your sister doing? i hope she's staying strong and malampasan ninyo to.

my father too, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. it has already metastasized to the liver. now, he was scheduled to be admitted to st lukes last sunday for biopsy, but he wanted to get a diff opinion. we then went to dr dy-liacco, metabolic medicine, then after that, he changed his mind and he wanted to try yung alternative medicine. i told him sana magpa check up para ma biopsy but ayaw niya kasi pag dun sa alternative, they don't encourage na magpa check sa hospital, etc. we have been doing the regimen  (eating raw foods, doing enema, etc) for 3 days but i don't see any improvement on his condition, parang mas lalong lumala. mas nag swollen yung feet niya and mahina na kumain. ni hindi nga namin masunod yugn sa regimen kasi laging di natatapos on time. i'm really worried pero matigas pa rin ang ulo. my uncles are tellling me na pagbibigyan lang siy until mga 1wk pero after that we will go to the hospital. kung ako sana, mas gusto ko sooner na. pero matigas talaga ang ulo ng father ko.

^my grandfathers doctor was dy-liacco din. that was years and years ago.  with alternative med kasi be reminded rin na your dad's body was conditioned differently hindi overnight rin yung effect either it can maintain his condition and hopefully not worsen.  maybe research a little bit kasi may ibang pagkain that retains water all the more and do what your gut tells you takutin mo rin if need be and kung diet man check on leafy greens that can flush out the liquid like asparagus.

Mommy23- are you sure that whipple procedure was done and not a bypass procedure?

according to the dr yes it was a whipple procedure. they showed us the picture of the specimen and they even ask for a container where they can store the specimen that was after the surgery when my sis was still inside the O>R.

almost a year na pala since may las post..unfortunately my sister did not make it for christmas. She passed away last november 9. but not with pancreAtic ca. She had an infarction. Got operated twice in the head. Ewan ko pero I think the Dr is to blame. Operation was done in AFPMC by a military dr CAPT DE LEOn.

@mommy23, sorry for your loss. is there any symptoms manifested before your sister is diagnosed with CA? i am monitoring multiple cyst on my pancreas for 6 months now. i also have an enlarged spleen. these two might be related.

^isn't your doctor suggesting surgery for the cysts ?

^i just had a laparoscopy when the cysts were discovered thru ctscan. sabi ng surgeon, nothing to worry about based on the results. baka daw dahil nagalaw ang mga organs sa loob kaya may cyst and mahirap magwork kasi dikit dikit pa sa loob. so pinababalik nya ako after 3months pero dapat may results na yung mamogram na pinapagawa nya saken. di pa ako nakapagpa-mamo kasi we are trying to conceive for almost 8mos na.

i know the delay is solely my fault. aside from TTC, i have several findings din kasi na ina-address. every 3months namomonitor ko sya thru ultrasound. healthy living lang muna ako ngaun, observation and prayers.

Hello sis! Grabe, natatakot ako for my father baka may Pancreatic CA din or something... Hindi nawawala sinok niya ilang months na, nausea, vomiting (sometimes), body malaise, weight loss. Kausap ko siya kanina sabi ko mag pa checkup sa GI and mag pa refer for endoscopy. He's undergoing dialysis pa naman 3x a week and sched na for kidney transplant as soon as my available ng kidney donor. I'm afraid na pag may 'something' pa sa Gastrointestinal area niya eh dag dag pain na naman yun sa kanya - eh hindi naman sa nega ako ha pero i can feel na may 'something' talaga. 


Dear sisters, ano mga signs and symptoms napapansin ninyo sa mga relative(s) ninyo na nag ka Pancreatic CA?  Thanks!
