Bacolod-Silay-Talisay (Negros Occidental) Thread 2

We went to: Campuestuhan, The Ruins, Mambukal Resort (and hiked the 7 falls), tried inasal in Manokan Country, tried different restaurants also. May isa pa kaming kinainan ng Kansi.

Will be flying to bacolod today up to june 30 for an official trip. Nilista ko na yun mga recommended restaurants. Sana meron kami time sa weekend para makapunta kami sa beach.

planning to go to sipalay on our bacolod-iloilo-guimaras trip. worth it ba yung 4-5 hrs na byahe from bacolod city to sipalay? i saw kasi yung perth resort ang ganda nya sa pics.

Hi, will be going to Bacolod this coming June 11-14. Comment naman sa draft Itinerary and suggestions pa. Thinking if Campuestohan or Mambukal eh..

June 11 - late arrival, around 7pm, so most likely dinner na lang
June 12 - Mambukal / The Ruins (kaya ba?)
June 13 - Lakawon
June 14 - or diti ilagay si Ruins? round 8pm pa departure namin

Sa Lakawon and Mambukal kasi mas ok kung whole day. Lakawon, medyo malayo from Bacolod (if dun yung hotel niyo). Sa Mambukal madami activities na pwede gawin. Pinagisa ko yung Campuestohan at The Ruins kasi sa Campuestohan half-day pwede mo na maikot yung buong place and yung The Ruins madadaanan siya papuntang Silay Airport.

Hi mga sis, I was only allowed a half day side trip to Bacolod this weekend (I'll be arriving Sat before noon, coming from 2 hours south of Bacolod and leaving Sun morning).. I'm thinking if going to Mambukal (since I love hot springs and trekking haha) would be okay, or kung pumunta na lang ako sa mga historical sites (e.g. The Ruins, museum, etc -- and maybe attend some Panaad festival programs since magsisimula sya on Saturday). Will really, really appreciate your help. Thanks in advance!

Went to Lakawon last April.
Super enjoy ako dito from the island itself up to the floating bar.
The sun is really up when we went there kaya sunog ako!
I suggest magdala na lang ng food coz their restaurant for me is pricey and di pa masarap yung food. But I really had fun there

Mag-Siargao sana kami this August kaya lang with what's currently happening in Mindanao, sabi ng asawa ko i-postpone na lang namin next summer   Pahupain daw muna yung gulo sa region.

So I'm thinking Bacolod-Mambukal-Lakawon-Punta Bulata.  Ok ba eto mga sis?  We're planning 7 days for the trip.

Eto yung Bacolod itinerary namin last Feb. 20-22,2017

Day 1 - morning flight. Arrived at New Bacolod SIlay Airport  around 11am. Nagtaxi kami papuntang city proper. Kapag taxi, fixed rate Php 500 hanggang Bacolod city, check in sa The Suites at Calle Nueva. Maganda yung location ng hotel, mura lang at pwede sa mga kids at senior citizens. May free breakfast pa. Since maaga pa, nag lunch kami sa Aida's sa Manokan Country. Must try dito yung chicken inasal. Balik sa hotel then rest. After mag rest ng konti, nagpunta kami sa Capitol Grounds and Lagoon, then sa SM Bacolod. Dun na din kami nag dinner.

Day 2 - Whole day tour. Yung taxi driver na naghatid sa amin from airport to The Suites at Calle Nueva nag offer ng day tour. Php 2500 yung rate nya so kinontrata na namin sya. BTW, may ginawa akong sariling itinerary for day tour kaya yun ang sinunod namin. Mga 8am kami nagpasundo sa hotel. First stop is OISCA in Bago. Dito namin nakita kung pano gawin yung silk yarn from silkworm. Natry din namin hawakan yung silkworm at nag mulberry picking din kami. First time namin nakatikim ng mulberry fruit. After sa OISCA, sa Jojo Vito Gallery kami nagpunta. Then lunch at Chicken House na kalapit lang ng gallery. Then sa Campuestohan Highlands Resort,  The Ruins at sa Negros Showroom sa may Robinsons place. Pwede pa sana kami dumaan sa Silay para makita yung mga ancestral houses kaso pagod na ang anak ko kaya nagpahatid na lang kami sa Diotay's para magdinner. Then nagtrike kami pabalik ng hotel.

Day 3 - Pasalubong shopping sa Merzci at Bong Bong's since walking distance lang mula sa hotel. Lunch for a good cause sa Natural Garden Cafe. Then balik sa hotel para antayin yung maghahatid sa amin sa airport. Flight back to Manila at 6pm

medyo relax at chill lang na itinerary kapag nagbabakasyon kami lalo na at may kasamang bata

Buhayin ko lang tong thread na to. We booked Bacolod for August 5-8. Parang 2 whole days lang talaga time namin para makapamasyal kasi late na kami dadating ng Aug 5, then 11am balik sa Aug 8.
Main itinerary talaga is Lakawon. Okay na kami sa relaxation, kaso parang sayang kung di kami mag iikot kahit papano sa city.
So isip ko overnight lang sa Lakawon. Pag land ng 1st night, dinner lang and pahinga. Then following day, go na sa Lakawon. Balik 3rd day, ikot ikot sa hapon-gabi. Uwi 4th day.
Ano ba pwede pasyalan kung half day lang ang free time namin on the 3rd day?

^Ruins in Talisay City, maximum time you could spend here is an hour, mainly for photo ops. Maganda siya sa gabi. Check mo na lang sis yung closing hours.

There?s also Campuestuhan Resort. Talisay area din siya. Swimming pools meron dito and malamig yung place kasi malapit na siya bundok. There?s zipline and air cycling.

Mambukal Resort (yung may 7 waterfalls) is also another option but 1 whole day talaga mauubos mo dito because of the land travel.

Of course, dont forget to drop by Manukan Country. Aida?s place is my favorite. For desserts, check out Felicia?s (if you like sans rival).

^Sis, L?Fisher, Sugarland, Planta Residences pa lang natry ko before. I heard yung Seda Hotel is bagong open.

Di ko lang sure sis if may okay na accommodation sa Talisay..cant think of any except Nature?s Village which is resort type as well. But havent tried it there.
Malapit lang naman ang Talisay sa Bacolod. Matagal na yata ang 30mins na biyahe.. Tsaka if sa Talisay kayo magstay, mapapalayo kayo sa mga restaurants.

I will be in Bacolod for an overnight stay. Any recommendations for a one-day itinerary? Food trip lang naman talaga sadya ko, and puwede na puntahan ang ibang tourist sites.

The hotel said airport transfer is 500 pesos per head. Tama ba ang presyo? I will be with my cousin and we're both female and worry lang namin is we arrive at the airport after 6PM and of course safety is an issue for us.

Excited for my Iloilo-Bacolod-Lakawon Island trip for 4 full days. Sana walang bagyo nun. Will be in Bacolod mainly for food trip
