^well they don't have a locker where you could safe-keep your things. If you don't want to rent a cottage,  there are picnic tables naman. mura lang naman sis, parang 50 or 100 lang ata ang rental.

will be in bacolod from nov 29-dec 2. hindi na kami tawid ng iloilo. relaxing vacation naman this time. ayoko na maghabol ng oras. will stay in gohotel for 2 nights and then lipat sa silay and stay in pegasus pension house para mas malapit na kami sa airport. maaga kasi flight namin. sana ok dito sa pegasus. wala masyadong option yata sa silay.

From Go Hotel, paano pumunta sa Silay? Yung mga museums dun kasi medyo nagulo schedule namin eh. Almost gabi na kami darating sa Silay so ang magiging sched namin ay ganito:

Day 1- 4:45PM arrival
- Food trip na lang?

Day 2-
Mambukal/City Tour, Ruins?

Day 3- (Please comment po dito?medyo magulo ito)
- Balik Silay for the museums? Is it really worth it?
-Shopping
-Balik Go Hotels

^sis kung commute kayo going to airport at di naman masyado madami bagahe pwede kayo mag silay tour pag papunta na kayo airport. Para di kayo pagod sa byahe though around 30 min by jeep lang naman: 15 min Bacolod to Talisay (Bata-Libertad/Mandalagan) jeep, 15 min Talisay to Silay jeep. May nasearch ako map ng Silay tour.

just arrived from bacolod this morning. tried the chicken inasal from manokan country (nena's beth specifically - aida's was closed that time), chicken house and aida's beside cafe bobs. they all taste different - but IMO, mas masarap pa din ang mang inasal. sorry sa authentic bacolod inasal fans. yan din opinion ng sis ko. we weren't able to try other inasal na kasi sawa na kapatid ko.

bagal ng byahe going to mambukal kasi tigil ng tigil ang bus to pick up passengers. ok naman.. saglit lang din kami kasi sa dipping pool lang kami nagtry since hindi naman kami interested sa swimming pool since madaming swimming pool kasi taga-laguna kami hehe.

we stayed in go hotel as mentioned above. the disadvantage was we weren't allowed to check in early. need to add P560 kung magcheck in maaga. so we had to wait pa... hindi pa naman kami makagala until di nagphinga dahil pareho kami walang tulog. kumain muna kami ang palipas oras sa SM at robinsons. hehe. mall tour?? saka mas okay sana talaga sa lacson. medyo malayo na ang gohotel sa mga kainan. tamad pa naman magjeep kapatid ko..gusto lagi taxi. napamahal tuloy kami.
ok naman malinis at mura so sulit na talaga sa gohotel.

calea was okay. medyo mataas lang expectations ko. i don't know if it was because di rin naman ako mahilig sa cake pero for me, ok lang. ganun lang hehe. white chocolate cheese cake yata un na-try ko. un sa kapatid ko un lemon something - mapait daw nun di na malamig. un sis ko mahilig sa sweets pero di rin sya happy sa choice nya. once lang kami nagcalea. at ang mahal sa bacson cafe ha!

silay -  ang konti ng tao at parang delikado sya pag gabi. walang masyadong tryk at wala mapagtanungan. may driver pa na nagtanong lang kami pano magpunta ng el ideal. sinakay pa kami un pala as in few meters away na lang di lang namin napansin. iniikot pa kami para kunwari malayo. haaaay. tapos guapple pie was not available on that day. nag-silog na lang kami for lunch. ang konti ng tapa ha..at ang mumurahin ang corned  beef. well, di naman sila known for those type of meals wala lang kaming choice kasi 2 rice meal lang pala ang available sa cafe 1925 at may kamahalan sya hehe.

ok naman ang pegasus pension. ok na for the price of P850. maluwag un kwarto. at tabing kalsada lang.

overall, sa the ruins lang ako nag-enjoy hehe.. sarap magpicture lalo na kung magaling na ko magpicture haha..

I stayed in their branch in Mandalagan (this one is closer to Talisay and walking distance to Robinson's) during Masskara last year. Downtown is close to Libertad. Both are very accessible and you will find jeepneys walking distance from the hotel.

Will be doing a solo trip to Bacolod on Aug. 22-25 pero ngayon pa lang nag-aayos na ako ng iti (OC much?).

I reaaaally wanna go to Punta Bulata kaso namamahalan ako kung mag-isa ko lang. Lol. 'Yung Palmas del Mar, malapit lang ba ito sa Bacolod City mismo?

'Yung Day 4 ko departure na dahil 6AM ang flight ko pabalik ng Manila. Can you recommend where to stay in Silay, sisses? Preferably 'yung malapit lang sa airport or may airport transfers kasi ang aga ng flight ko.

^palmas del mar is in the city mismo sis. It's near the old airport, sugar land hotel, planta hotel and gaisano mall. when you go there ingat lang kasi madadaanan mo ang mga squatter along the way.

I'll be going to bacolod again in June. To attend a wedding at plantazionne in talisay. It will be my first time to go there and I can't find any reviews on the net.

Will be in bacolod again this august 27-29 for my [textspeak!]'s bday celebration which hubby and i will be financing.. to all our sisses who intend to go to bacolod, must try sa food trip yung kansi and inasal of course. Go to sharyn's for kansi. For inasal, i guess anywhere sa manokan country though sa aida's kami madalas but you can also try out other restos na mas maganda ang ambience though it will be more expensive.

If budget permits, try out negros museum cafe.

Marami pa ako gustong i-try sa bacolod. Hopefully, may matry kami ni hubby sa lists of resto ko in bacolod. I also want to go to punta bulata someday.

^Actually malapit lang ang palmas from lacson. From lacson, the taxi will go to Araneta street in singcang then turn right to the street (I forgot the name) where palmas is. Btw, palmas is inside a subdivision.
not sure how much is the taxi fare though kasi we went there we're in a private vehicle.

Thanks for the plantazionne link sis. It's the clubhouse of the Ayala-developed subdivision. I booked our accommodation at l'fisher hotel in lacson as it's nearer talisay. I hope they renovated the rooms this time. Though the rooms are kinda old and musty, l'fisher is bacolod's premier hotel.

^^^ Thanks for the info sis! Sinilip ko sa Google Maps 'yung Palmas del Mar at medyo malayo-layo na pala siya from city proper.

Booked with Saltimbocca Inn for two nights. My last night will be in Silay but I still haven't decided kung sa Baldevia o sa Winbelle ako mag-stay.

Pahabol question: Paano ba ang serving sa Old Pala-Pala? Turo-turo style ba ito? I'd be traveling solo kasi at concerned ako na baka napakarami ng serving, hindi ko mauubos mag-isa.

^ang palmas actually ang pinakamalapit na resort sis kasi within the city sya mismo. don't worry it seems daunting when you check bacolod on google map but actually it's just a small city (think Santa Rosa Laguna without nuvali) where only one street virtually rules and that's lacson st.

Palmas del Mar is a hotel & resort that is located near the old airport. It is actually inside a subdivision called Palmas del Mar too. Owned by the Lizares Family.  Medyo malayo siya sa and it can cost somewhere between Php 100-150 pesos to take a cab from Lacson St.
