Shakeys birthday party...

Hi mga sis, my son will celebrate his 1st bday tomorrow at shakeys e rod. We went there this afternoon to order additional mmd since we have exceeded our expected guests and to finalize some details. Good thing we did kasi nalaman ko na pag gumamit ka pala ng main dining area nila in comparison in using just the cubicles, my mataas ang corckage na you have to pay if you have outside supplier which in our case is the photobooth.  2000pesos instead of 1000, nashock ako kasi parang anlaki naman iyong 2thou, if i have known, baka nagdalawang isip sana ako to get outside supplier..  plus the one i talked to when we reserved the place just quoted 1thou plus the contract specified na iyong corckage is 1thou tapos bigla bigla tumaas agad.. so i really haggled and in the end, they relented na 1 thou na lang corckage...so mga sis ask nyo din before hand baka kasi may similar incidences din in the future...

any feedbacks regarding shakey's party in paseo de magallanes?

Medyo convinced na ako to book at the Delta branch. Sulit kasi tsaka ok yung space. Sa mga sis na nakapag paparty na sa branch na ito, natry nyo po ba ihaggles yung corkage for outside food? gusto ko sana ng ice cream at fries foodcart sa birthday ni baby.

^^ok naman magparty sa branch na yun sis. Maliit lang space kaya I opted na buong store ipa-close sabihin nila sa iyo magkano dapat maconsume para magawa yun. Nun nagpaparty kami dun nakapagpasok ako ng sarili ko suppliers, d ko na lang alam sa ngayon. Pansin ko lang na medyo luma na itong branch na ito sa ngayon sis.

Out na ang Shakey's Katipunan sa options ko.  Mag-start ang renovation nila in May at baka hindi umabot sa birthday ng kids ko in June.

Booked Shakeys Que Ave/Delta for my son's birthday on December. Maaga na kung maaga, at least hindi ako harassed and my expenses are in some way na-installment dahil hindi magkakadikit ang gastusin ko.

sis daveigh, anong function room ang kinuha mo? how many pax ba yung mga function rooms nila? balak ko rin kasi Shakey's Q.Ave for my son's bday sa November.anong food ang inorder mo sa kanila?

sis, yung A, pang 120 pero yung B and C ang kinuha namin na total of 100+ guests. forgot how many pag B or C lang eh. check ko sa contract.

@sis daveigh,yung function A nila yun yung may stage di ba? mas okay ba yung B and C? hindi ba madilim sa A? how much pala yung deposit mo sa kanila? how much na yung food packages nila?

^sis sorry, di ko nakita kung may stage eh. mas pinili ni hubby ang B and C kasi mas maluwag kumpara sa Function A lang. Di naman masyadong madilim yung A in my opinion.

P5000 yung binigay namin as deposit. Tapos ang kinuha namin is yung monster meal na 2,200 for 10-12 persons, mga 8 orders ang initial order namin. Pwede naman magdagdag on the day itself eh.

I booked Shakey's Paseo de Magallanes for a children's party this June. Ok naman sila kausap. Since it is going to be an adult party, I did not get their usual ammenities. You can even book the whole place for 25K!!! Shempre, dun tayo sa budget. I booked for 60 heads, and got their MMD for 12 pax. To give a few buffers for those who eat more, I got 8 MMD. The pizzas were square cut and in different flavors. Pasta to be served were both red and white sauces. Plus I get the giant pizza. Pero since andami ko na pizza, they gave another offer: instead of a giant pizza, I can get 2 grand slam pizzas from the branch (in GC form), any 4 flavors--and I can get them separately! Balloons and decor, I can bring in din daw, as long as hindi kontra kay Justice League. Not bad na diba?

To top their service, they waved my electricity corkage! I can have my photobooth there and the cupcakes that we have wala narin corkage. Eto pa, sabi nila, I can bring in a candy buffet, as long as walang isasaksak. =)

Budget = less than 18k =)

to those na napagparty na sa Makati cinema branch, kindly provide feedbacks regarding dun sa buffet style pwede bang iask na may magserve para bantay ang food. Second anong rules nila sa theme and other suppliers, I want Disney cars and I will bring along host, cake and nestle ice cream cart. Lastly pwede bang idecorate yun place like add balloons sa ceiling.

@hearty_flakes, meron naman magseserve bale 2 crew sila ang naglalagay sa plate ng mga bisita.
tapos the other 1 for kids meal. They don't allow Disney characters only generic theme lang. Yes, you can decorate the place . As for the suppliers like cake or candy buffet di sila mahigpit pero sa ice cream hindi pwede kasi they also offer nestle ice cream. corkage fee is P1K.You can negotiate din siguro kapag marami yung guest mo.

Mga sis wag sana ang server/waiter mag-mando sa buffet e super kurips kasi early this yr yun naattendan namin na party parang binibilang # of pieces nun spag noodles bago ilagay sa plate. At hindi exag yan

Sana nagpa-bunch of lunch na lang pila pa tapos kaunti masyado yun food. If hindi lang nakakakiya, sarap mag-order na lang

^ganun sis!? siguro talagang exact # of pax lang din yung buffet kaya tipid lang nilalagay nila.

sa amin okay naman, hindi tipid yung serving puno ang plate. and yung mga guest nag 2nd round pa sa buffet

hay I need second option tuloy. ka sad naman, I need to ask my sister to go and talk to them.. parang mas ok pala sa Bluewave kc pwede daw kahit anong theme.. di pa pwedeng pakiusapan kahit 140 guests expected ko

Anyway, naka-try ako ng pizza sa kapitolyo-pasig branch. Ang sarap ng luto nila ng pizza. Parang ok magparty dun kaso maliit ang lugar.
