You'll get there, for as long as its moving steadily forward,
it'll get there, what's frustrating was the retro before,
many were already current then, and already underwent
medical and interview, then the retro hits, and no visa was issued,
until their PD became current again,..

Let's just pray it keeps moving forward, slowly but definitely surely...

ang nalilito lang ako is they kept on saying that no priority date issue with spouse of USC, no waiting for visa coz as soon as mareceive ang application process agad. nagccheck naman ako lagi s USCIS pero initial review p din ang nakalagay.

anybody here na ganun ang situation?

What's the average rate for an immigration lawyer for cases like this and is it always necessary to get an immigration lawyer when it comes to AOS?

i think processing of application in uscis usually takes 5-6 months (or less?). then when it's approved, they will forward your application to NVC. once you have complied with the requirements naman asked by NVC, you will be scheduled for an interview right away. unlike for lpr na have to wait pa for PD to be current. at least yun ang alam ko

as soon as you have your packet. you have to show them the appointment letter kasi. better to have it as early as possible. afaik, the medical result is valid for 6 mos

pajoin...soon kasi ay mag-aayos na rin kami ng papers ng hubby ko.
we're just waiting na maging citizen sya.

anyway, ask ko lang yung mga requirements. i checked kasi yung mga kelangan for
petition of spouse, bukod dun sa marriage certificate, photos etc. meron pang requirement na
shared propert, co-mingling of finances. ano bang mga documents ang pinasa nyo for these
requirements? hubby and i were married june 2010. he left for US that same month. wala pa kaming property as married couple. ano pa bang pwede naming ipasa as supporting document for I-130 form?

kami sis napilitang mag open ng joint account (time deposit) dahil talagang wala kaming joint anything bukod s marriage cert namin. may mga hinihingi sila dun like:

lease agreement: wala kami nito dahil pag nasa pinas naman ako sa bahay namin or s hotel kami ngsstay
joint finances: wala din kasi never naman naming naisip n magjoint account s pinas dahil ang iniisip nga namin no need dahil nga pupunta na siya dito. kaya ayun nga napilitan kaming mag open ng joint account ng wala sa oras 
joint properties: wala din... more or less kasi yung mga tipong house and lot ito or kotse, may motor sana kami kaya lang wala naman ako dun nung inayos papers nun kaya kay hubby lang nakapangalan.

Do pardon me for hijacking this thread,
our case is F2A, me and my 2 teenagers,
our interview date is on March 15, 2012,
and I have decided to go to Manila for our medical
tomorrow coz I learned that my daughter (17) just had her
period 7 days ago,.. (a requirement of the hospital on female applicants)

My question is that is it ok for us to go now on a medical,..?
My son (14) is also with us, and I'm 37...

Also, did I read it correctly that St. Luke's would be the taking our passports
after the medical and they would be one to forward it to the US Embassy,..?
Is it safe,..?

I would really appreciate some insights,

^is it mandatory? i hope not.

wala namang nakalagay na mandatory... but it will help to prove na talagang mag asawa kayo at nagtuturingang mag asawa. but if you have kids, i think sobrang strong proof na yun na family nga kayo. kadalasan problema ang mga ganung docs kapag newly weds.
