Giving Birth in America

Hi po, im 2 months pregnant now, and im planning of giving birth in America. But, I have 2 major and some minor problems.
First, my tourist visa expired last April, Ive been to U.S twice since we got our multiple entry visa and Im planning to renew it maybe on January, Im getting married on January end week. Mahihirapan ba akong makapag renew ng visa sa panahon ngayon? What's the best reason na pwede ko sabihin sa consul since renewal na to? Ano mas okay, married or single status pag renew ko ng Visa?

Second, If God permits and given a chance na ma-approve ang visa ko, ano kaya ang pros, cons, legal aspects of giving birth in U.S? saka sa ibang search ko, sabi naman, hindi ko naan masyadong kailangan ang mga magagandang hospital dun kasi yung mga small hospitals daw ay okay na ang facilities.
PLease help me po decide and anong mga dapat kong gawin. Thank you.

Is your husband to be Filipino or American citizen or Dual Citizen?

If he's Filipino, it would be easier for you to apply a visa after your get married because it will prove stronger ties in Manila.

If your husband to be is American or Dual Citizen, you better apply that visa before your bump is obvious and before you get married because they will doubt that you will only visit the US for leisure.

Hi sis, thank you sa pagsagot. My husband to be is a Filipino. Are you staying in U.S? I read your link, and I qualified naman, my visa expired last April 2011, so cover parin ako ng 12 months of renewal. and 1 month lang ang stay namin sa America whenever nandun kami, as I read sa qualifying factors.

My problem is my husband to be, wala syang US visa. So now kailanganmko ayusin accounts ko, kasi nung nag apply kami before bata lang ako nun, so family Visa kami, and now im 25. Next problem is giving birth.

If ma-grant, okay. pag hindi, okay lang din. at least I tried.

Pero sa tingin nyo ba mga sis, okay ang decision ko na manganak if ever sa America?

Yung fiance ko American citizen by birth but grew up in the Philippines. I am not that certain that if both parents are Filipinos the child will be American automatically just because he/she was born there. Pero nung time ng fiance ko ganun kasi. Pero I think ganun parin ata.

Im not staying in the US sis. I just visit every 6 months or so. Kaka expire lang din ng visa ko last October. Sabi ng fiance ko libre DAW ang mangak doon. Ewan ko lang ha kung accurate yun and if it applies also to foreigners who do not have medical insurance. If you are planning on giving birth there mag apply ka na ng visa asap and umalis ka narin asap. Mag apply ka nalang ng extension of stay when you get there. Baka kasi pag sa January or February ka pa aalis baka mahalata that your pregers and they will question you like crazy sa immigration.

if the child is born in united states soil that child is an american citizen regardless of the nationality of parents.

ask ko lang, anong main reason mo to give birth sa US?
