^better siya than shaving kasi you pull out the hair from the root. so yung tubo niya, same lang nung dati. unlike shaving na pinuputol kaya matigas yung tubo. plus if you wax regularly, pag tumagal, mas matagal and mas manipis na yung tubo niya.

@devilish_einjel biggest tub will last around 6 months or so sis  :) if you do back to shaving, then hair will be coarse & dark again... so better use wax because hair growth will be finer & it will slow down in the long run  ;)

I'm 20 months pregnant and I usually go to Lay Bare to have my underarm waxed. However, they have just stopped waxing pregnant women na daw in any of their salons. I don't want naman to go back to shaving until makapanganak ako. Would you sisses know if veet is effective and easy to use? TIA

share ko lang experience ko sa 1st time DIY waxing. i used glamworks (tama ba?) naguluhan ako. anyway.. i have coarse hair sa UA which has gone better, hindi na kasing coarse kasi i had 2 waxing sa laybare pero this time can't wait til the weekend kasi hindi ako makapagsleeveless. kaya i tried to do it on my own. super sakit! :D at gusto kong umiyak. lol. swear i won't do it again. i had broken skin tapos later nagsugat na sya...parang bruise and konting bleeding. ramdam ko pa din pain after 2 days.

mahirap lang kasi with waxing you have to wait until it grows to 1/4 inch. mine kasi madaling tumubo since twice pa lang ako nakapagpa-wax siguro..like after 2-3 days, may natubo na. so waiting for 2-3 weeks is sobrang hirap kasi ang panget.. :D di ako makapagsleeveless or even shortsleeves.

^tama. yun din problema pag wax wait mo pa na tumubo yung hair talaga.. its a god thing though na sa bahay lang ang work ko and I barely go out.. pero balak ko parin ngayon bumili din ng epilator it might help in times of emergency.. hihi

Di ko na natanong eh. Basta sabi nila kakagaling lang daw ng new policy from their main branch.

Matagal na din ako nagbabackread sa mga posts nyo wala lang ako lakas ng loob i try before hihi then finally i convinced myself to have it done. Had it done sa Laybare Market! Market! I forgot the name of the attendant na :( but that time isa lang siya na nagservice sakin. Normally daw kasi 2 ttendants for 1 customer.

recently ko lang natry ang waxing, first time ko sa salon, somewhere in Greenhills, so andami ko pa tanong kay ate on do's and don'ts benefits and all.

Then next waxing ko sa UA, DIY na...i bought Strip it. SO far so good. Twice na ako nag Strip it and I can see na less chicken skin, mas naglighten na din yung UA ko plus mas matagal na yung hair growth, mas manipis na yung hair at mas manipis na din all in all yung tumutubo compared to shaving/plucking ko before.

Me, too! First time to do DIY waxing sa legs and underarms using Strip It. Namamahalan kasi ako if pupunta pa sa salon and medyo hassle kung yung mga hot wax sa Watsons ang gagamitin ko (I don't even know how to melt those wax!). I'm so satisfied with the results, super sulit! :) Pero mukhang I have to do the waxing session with the help of my boyfriend. :D For some reason, he finds it amusing everytime he pulls the clothing strip. So love it!  :) Re: Brazilian waxing. No immediate future plans to do it yet and if ever I do decide, probably, its best to have the first session with a waxer muna and not a DIY. :)

paglagay mo ng cloth, just press it to make sure dumikit yung wax then hilain mo na agad. ilang seconds lang yun

Hi sis! I don't know exactly how much pero cheap lang sya. Masyado kasi makapal yung hairs ko and feeling ko mas effective pag bago yung strip na gagamitin for each section of my leg. The cloth is washable pero napansin ko nagiging less taut kasi sya, hence less effective pag gagamitin uli. Hope this helps! :)

nahirapan ako sa paggamit ng s.i.a.r, hindi ko nasimulan ang paggamit, siguro dahil pasmado ako, parang natutunaw na yung wax, sa sobrang lambot, wahaha

ako sanay sa hot or cold wax, mas prefer ko hot para mas mabilis. pag tipid mode ako, I diy using strip it or body shop waxing strips. they used to carry this. sobra kong tinipid [textspeak!] waxing strips ng body shop cos wala na akong makita nun ngayon.
recently, i discovered strip. super worth it for the price, i forgot how much ang brazi, pero parang 1k plus. sobrang sulit.

Buti na lang I saw this thread. I bought na din [textspeak!] STRIP IT in Trinoma.
