hello doc, my 8-month old son naman po 2 days lang siya nagkafever (37.9-38.9). For 2 days po tempra lang pinapainom namen every 4 hours. nawawala naman po yung fever n'ya yun nga lang pabalik balik. then today wala na cia fever but we notice na meron mapupula or rashes sa arms nya. Roseola din po kaya yon? but to make sure pacheck up na rin namen para matest ang blood nya. akala po kc namen kaya siya nagkafever because of his teething.

3 days mild fever yung son ko , nun wala na fever lumabas rashes, pinacheck up ko just to make sure ano ba cause nung rashes na yun, after the check up, and lab.sabi ng pedia dengue symptoms daw, but based sa result ng lab ok yung cbc, sabi ng pedia confined para maobserbahan at tinakot pa ako ng pedia f***! Na kesyo jan nagsisimula ang dengue, traydor daw yan dengue kala ko lang ok ang anak ko pero hinde daw ( eh ang lakas kaya kumain ng anak ko kahit may sinat!) worried lang ako sa rashes nya , pina confined  ko narin tutal friday na rin naman kahit 2 days lang kami sa hospital, the result after 2 days ok ang platelet pero ayaw kami palabasin ng pedia nya.tutal may Health card naman daw anak mag stay pa kami, Nun tues. pinilit ko na lalabas na kami dahil ok anak ko at ayaw nya sabihin sakin na hinde dengue yun so nagtanong ako sa ibang doc dun, sabi hinde daw dengue,...feeling ko gusto lang mamera nung pedia, nalaman ko na lang sa bill 5k plus pala pf nya at gusto pa ata kami patagalin sa hospitalpara lalong lumaki pf! f***! Walang pakialam sa bata at sa bulsa ng magulang shes only concern on her PF!

Tingin ko kase tigdas hangin ...3 days na sinat., kaya naman nya napasok pa sa school that time , at malakas kumain, nagalala lang ako sa rashes sa paa at binti,

With Roseola, the rashes first appear on the trunk area (chest and tummy) before spreading out to other areas of the body. It is best to have your baby checked to confirm the diagnosis.

Last week, my daughter and I had viral exanthem. It started with me, akala ko nga food allergies but I was disgruntled when my daughter got them too! Mas naging malala pa yung kanya and she had fever days before that so natakot kame akala namin dengue. It went away on its own naman after 2 days. Yaya din nya nagkaron.

this is exactly what happened to my officemate. nag ka shingles siya sa face, head and neck even her eyes were infected and super sakit nga daw. nakakatakot pala pag bumalik mas malala!

My daughter is now 18 months and no measle vaccine yet, is it normal na di pa sya nagkaka tigdas hangin? samin kase uso sa mga baby yun pero sya exception ata? (cross fingers!)

^ Not everyone who is exposed to the virus will get infected. It depends kasi on how the immune system responds to the infection. Your daughter's immune system may be well equipped to fight off the infection.
Also, iba ang Measles (tigdas) sa Rubella or german measles (tigdas hangin) and Roseola infantum. Mas madaming complications ang Measles compared to Rubella or Roseola.

my daughter has tigdas hangin.nag start with cough tas nagka fever umabot pa kame ng 39.3das syang nilagnat tas after mawala ng fever dun din lumabas yun rashes.sobrang dami sa face nya ngayon.her pedia told me that it will eventually fade.nakaka awa lang talaga yun hitsura. 
Ask ko lang kasi on 6wks prgnant,delikado ba sakin?di ko ba sya dapat lapitan?

^ I suggest that you clarify with your daughter's pedia if it is Rubella or Roseola kasi if it is Rubella, then yes, it might affect your unborn baby. Rubella exposure during the 1st trimester is notorious for causing congenital anomalies in the heart, eyes, ears, etc. (Congenital Rubella syndrome).
If you had Rubella as a child and you have antibodies against it, then you and your unborn baby are protected. You can have your antibody titers checked by having a serum TORCH panel done.

Hello mommies! just wanna ask lang if yung tigdas hangin ba makati? kasi yung baby ko 1yr 3mos meron mga rashes at first sabi ng mga nakakakita tigdas hangin daw then pakainin daw itlog pugo para magsilabasan lahat ganun nga ginawa ko then after that sobrang pula ng mga rashes nya at halos magdikit dikit na all over her body kaya pinacheckup ko na sa doctor sabi allergy and nagreseta ng lotions at sabon and anti-allergy but I'm not contented sa result ng checkup since nabasa ako bout tigdas hangin ang halos same symptoms ang dko lang sure kung nangangati ba yung tigdas hangin? ^ May itch din na mararamdaman sa tigdas hangin.
Difference ng allergy from tigdas hangin: before the rashes appear, may fever muna for 2 to 3 days. Sa allergy, walang fever and itch is episodic, depending on exposure to the allergen responsible for the rashes.
Did your child have 3 days of fever before lumabas ang rashes? Saan area unang lumabas ang rashes?

Nagkaron po sya ng sinat lang mga 3-4days pero i think dahil po yun sa singaw at tonsilitis nya. nagpacheckup din kami for that at may mga nireseta sa kanya na gamot like daktarin for singaw and amoxicillin and when i checked the dosage lagpas sa age nya [textspeak!] nireseta ng doc kaya mejo nagworry ako but anyway gumaling naman si baby sa singaw at tonsil and after 1 day [textspeak!] lumabas naman [textspeak!] rashes sa mukha and tummy I'm not sure san nagsimula since same moment ko chineck [textspeak!] body nya. Doc if allergy nga yun possible ba na dahil yun sa nireseta nung doctor na sobrang dosage?

sa mga nabasa ko parang tigdas hangin din yung sa baby ko may apat na araw siyang lagnat pagkatapos yun na may lumabas na parang rashes. hindi ko alam kung saang parte nang katawan nya nagsimula mayron kasi sa tiyan niya sa likod at saka sa mukha. Ok lang po yun doc na paliliguin si baby he is now 11 months old..dalawang araw na kasi yung rashes na hindi pa nawala pero ok lang naman siyang uminum nang milk nya. please reply.

Pasensya na, but medication dosages are computed based on weight, not by age so please do not rely on what is written on the box of the medication. This is why we strongly discourage self medicating with parents just following the dosages written on the box and not properly computed.
Also, you do not get allergy with "overdosage". Sa allergy kasi, even just a small amount will trigger a reaction. It has nothing to do with the amount. Hindi totoo yung sinasabi nila sa mga nagsususpect ng food allergy na kaya nagfood allergy is because naparami ng kain.
What antibiotic was given to your child? There are certain antibiotics kasi that can trigger rash development if naibigay sa isang patient na viral infection pala ang cause and not bacterial but again, hindi allergy yung reaction na yon, but rather just a reaction of the antibiotic to the infection.

Pwedeng pwede paliguan ang baby na may tigdas, tigdas hangin, chicken pox, lagnat, ubo, sipon, etc. Kahit sa hospital, araw araw pinaliliguan ang may sakit...
Good hygiene is a must kapag may sakit and it will help clear up the infection faster.
Also, I suggest you confirm with your pedia if tigdas hangin ba talaga ang cause ng rashes ng baby mo.

^ Tigdas or Measles is due to the Rubeola virus which is a different virus from the one causing German Measles or Tigdas hangin which is caused by the Rubella virus. Iba rin ang Roseala virus.
Pwede pa siyang bigyan ng Measles vaccine if tigdas hangin ang naging sakit niya at hindi tigdas or measles.
