Euwie- since you are diagnosed with endometriosis. It's better to have a regular follow up with your Ob gyn for monitoring. Yes it may cause abdominal pain but sometimes, gaseousness may not be necessarily related to endometriosis. Follow up is the key!

Julidita- sorry,I am not a Derma and not familiar with the skin feeling thingy.it's always better to write down and ask all your questions before and after the procedure with your doctor to fully understand what to and what not to expect. Different doctors have different technique . Hope you understand.

Hi doc, my 3 year old has a geographic Tongue. The first pedia said ipa double ang inom ng vitamin c. Hindi gumaling. Second pedia, sabi use daktarin 3x a day after brushing.

:( thank you po.

Ashley- honestly, it's really hard to prescribe medication without the proper history taking and physical examination. It might do more harm than good. Hope you understand.

Nuna- first, geographic tongue is a benign condition which is self limiting, meaning it will resolve by itself even without treatment over a certain period of time. Don't worry. Just do conservative management to avoid irritating the tongue.

Hello doc. I always experience headache , especially at the top and back of my head. It usually happens when I oversleep or when I lack sleep. But lately I found out that even when I had enough bed rest, I still get headache as soon as I get up. It slightly subsides after a few hours and then it comes back before the end of the day. Tapos yesterday, I had headache again.. I took paracetamol to relieve the pain but nothing happened. It was different from my previous headaches because I was really feeling ill. It's as if I had fever but I didn't feel hot at all.  Tapos last night, I couldn't sleep because I felt like throwing up. Kaya yun, I got up and then vomited. It made me feel a little better pero the headache was still there. Tapos I woke up this morning pero I still have headache. But it's not as bad as it was yesterday. Feeling ko nilalagnat pa rin ako kahit hindi naman mataas ang temperature ko. I don't have colds or whatever, just plain headache. What could be the problem?  :-[

Nuriko- most common cause is still stress related however, if it's persistent and involves severe pain and vomiting then you need a thorough assessment by a doctor. Pls follow up with you physician.

Solaris- yes, it will improve after awhile. Continue your medicine dosage and be more conscious of what you are eating.

Janamarielle- are you taking any medications aside from the liver supplement? Although the result is not that significant increase, you may follow up with a gastroenterologist for further management.

Hi po DocShe! :) Madalas po sumasakit batok ni bf ko. Parang di daw po yata nawawala. Kahit ipahinga or itulog nya, paggising nya masakit pa din. Lately napansin ko parang mabilis sya mainis or mag-init ang ulo. Prior to that po, sumasakit din sa may right chest nya and there was a time na medyo nahihirapan sya huminga. Ano po kaya yun? And if ever po, what kind of doctor does he need to visit. Nung nag-BP po sya the other day, it was 140/87 yata.

Another question po, ok lang po kaya if I drink gatorade and minute maid (mango orange) everyday? I have been drinking those po for 2 years na. May harmful effects po kaya?

Thank you so much po :)

Zy- better to have bf checked by an internist.
Regarding Gatorade and juice aside from high sugar content I don't see any other harmful effects .

Very nice thread, Doc She. At least merong nag-ga-guide sa amin dito sa health forums, so we are not blinded with what works for the other sisses.

I have some issues. Hopefully you could answer.

1) I keep on wondering about this lumpy thing (bukol ang dating) that I have for a while sa right arm ko. I can feel the lump if I put my right arm behind my head. It's located at the upper right arm, just a bit below the elbow at that position (that is, with the right arm just behind my head).

I don't remember the time when I first had it, but I believe it's been there years already. It doesn't grow big as time goes by, but on the outside it looks like a very light blue bruise and it is slightly raised above the skin. That thing has been that way since it appeared and it doesn't get worse than that - that is, it doesn't change outer colors and it doesn't get any bigger. It's painless too, that I often ignore it unless I run my left hand at that part.

Should I worry?

2) I have this occasionally itchy rashes (usually when weather is warm) on both the underside of my elbows which appeared for sometime, that I couldn't remember. I guess it's been there for more than a year. It appears to be like chicken skin, based on what I've read online and the pictures I've seen. I haven't applied anything before, except caladryl to relieve the itch (it doesn't totally eliminate the itchiness though). I'm sure it's not a reaction to any foods I've eaten, because it remains to be itchy no matter which food I take. It seems to react to the weather though (I live in Baguio, if that info would help).

The condition doesn't get worse though. On the outside it looks just fine. I think anyone looking from afar wouldn't notice those "rashes", and it doesn't also look serious up close. It's just, plainly itchy at times.

Should I also worry?

Thank you so much in advance. Wonderful thread, doc, sis.  :)
