Mad Science Party

Hi mga sis,

My son is turning 7 this sunday na yung party.

I hired Mad Science Philippines and I'm really excited for this.  I bought stuff for give-aways, cake, candy buffet and centerpiece (Jars with gummy worms, flasks, jelly with straws, lava cake, stone candies... etc)

Baka may ideas kayo san pa pwede makabili ng mostly science stuff na toys lang and if you have ideas to make it fun.

I'll post my party after this Sunday.

Landmark's toy department, Hobbes & Landes and Toys R Us have good toys at different price ranges for kids who are inclined towards science such as chemistry experiments, explorers' stuff like binoculars, compass, etc.

The only places I've seen yung mga science-y type toys is yung Hobbes & Landes at MOA. Kaya lang parang mahal dun. I've also seen them in a store on High Street as well, I'm not sure pero baka Hobbes din yun. But you can probably find some stuff kahit sa Toy Kingdom or Toys R Us lang.

Some ideas...
- for prizes or giveaways: small magnifying glasses, kaleidoscopes, kiddie science books, science-themed flash cards, science-themed board game
- drinks/candies in test tubes
- instead of coloring books for the kiddie tables, you can print out brain teasers, puzzles or trivia

Sis Marose... Oo nga pala... Landmark! Yun puntahan ko nga! I am looking for the scientist glasses and plastic insects.  Buti may microscope na ako... I'll try to check at Toys r us tom. medyo rush na ako ngayon... gosh ambilis ng panahon.

Will do the puzzle even for the adults.  Since matagal ang show ng mad science, wala na ako masyadong games since madaming experiments.  But the puzzles on tables would be a good pang award even for the guests! My son loves science e, kaya I know he's going to have fun.

^May mga experiment boxes sa Hobbes and Landes. Sale ko nabili, 50% off. Try mo baka sale pa rin. Maraming laman ang isang clear box, like thermometer, flasks, petri dish, funnel, etc. Marami na rin akong nabiling science kits sa Toy Kingdom. Sa Mega, marami silang big boxes of science kits. Meron silang isang kit that contains flasks with stand na pwede mong paglagyan ng candies and M&Ms.

Sis Icee, tama si Marose, okay din sa Landmark nga pala. They have a nice selection sa department store nila in TriNoma. I remember seeing plastic bug/insect toys there.

Kakatuwa naman yung son mo and it's great that you're encouraging and fostering his love for science. Naku, yung son ko puro cartoons at video games ang gusto. I'm hoping and praying na eventually maging mas interested din siya sa science, literature, etc. Hehe.

Thanks, Sis Jpeach.  We did some experiments using household stuff lang from stevespanglerscience.com lang and he really enjoyed it.  watch the videos, baka ma engganyo mo kids mo to love science.

Mga sis! The party was a hue success!!! Grabe! Naloka pati mga adults with Mad Science.  The Experiments are really awesome... since unlike magic - the Mad Scientists really explain how things work that way! Naloka pati mga toddlers ko to play with the bubble made of dry ice.  The kids were ecstatic when they saw the tornado maker.

Best of all, kahit medyo drizzling... lahat ng guests lumabas to really see rockets launching!

Lahat nag stay till the end and the adults wanted to be volunteers (as in the beg to volunteer).  It was super galing!

10/10 for Mad Science Philippines! Even the english and diction of the Mad Scientists were awesome.  I'll be posting photos of the party within the week.

If you plan to have one, I am sure you'll find things from this topic.

Wow, so glad to read about this! My son's turning 8 this February and he requested for a science-themed party. Without reading any reviews, I booked mad science. Now, at least I know it would be worth it, considering I'm flying two scientists all the way here to Mindanao!

Hi Mga sis... been just way too busy. Haven't got the time to post on my blog about the details of the party because of the busy-ness of the holidays. Draft lang siya di pa done.

Anyway, will post soon but just to let you know... it was a super blast! Super blast kasi we launched a rocket and my son rode a rocket din during the party.  I got so many compliments and the kids (even toddlers) enjoyed it so much.

The parents kept telling me even a week after the party that is was super original and yung mga kids nila have been asking for the same party.  Also, the kids made goo slime kaya sobrang natuwa sila.

The rate of mad science is P15k. Just look for Android Anna and tell her I'm the mom of Ice whom I've coordinated inside Mad Science.

This is perfect for parties of bigger kids 4 and above. 10/10 is my rating for them.

Thanks, sis. Thumbs up for Mad Science. Medyo, last minute lahat ng preps but seeing the kids na they were all sobrang uncontrolable ang happiness nila sa lahat ng experiments was all worth the pagod.

Sis Mommy Wena, grabe... I am sure super magiging popular ang kid mo for having the coolest party! You can ask your daughter to link her FB page or like Steve Spangler's Experiments (http://www.stevespangler.com). Or better yet, sa party niya... pwede siya gumawa ng isang experiment na siya ang magiging mad scientist which she can get from Steve Spangler. Idea lang.

I'm considering this theme for my son's 7th birthday.  It's not the usual and very educational.  Kaya lang 15k, hehe.  less than 20k lang budget ko for all eh.
