kaso di ba parang ang ang gumagana sa actuation yung pag-sara ang pag bukas ng shutter.. i think nawoworn out yun so i guess it can be refresh pero the life span of the camera will be decrease and di ata pwede irefresh na actual count na newly bought eh.. kasi we you sell your camera the actuation counts is a big deal.. kunwari ang natitira nalang na actuation sayo is like 10k nalang.. mababa na daw ang value nun at better yet wag mo na ibenta.

^i am not so sure kung tama yung pagkakatanda ko.  parang gagastos ka lang yata ng P5k.  hayaan mo pag nagawi uli ako ng hidalgo i'll ask.  basta hindi tama yung itatapon mo na lang yung camera mo after nya ma reach yung maximum actuations nya.  natawa nga yung pinagtanungan ko when i asked kung totoong wala ng pakinabang yung dslr mo kapag na max out mo na actuations.

baka may nakakaalam or naka reach na ng maximum actuations dito.  don't you find that strange wala pang nagkwe kwento tungkol sa naka abot na sa maximum count.

Search mo din kung ilan na ang actuation count camera mo - google it sis.


Hope it helps, pero matagal pa naman bago ma-exhaust ang camera mo pero you should be very particular by getting the QUALITY not the quantity.. wag mo din ipahiram kung kanino kanino yan kasi owning an DSLR requires a lot of responsibilities. Gaya nga ng sabi sa Spiderman, " With great power price , comes great responsibility" heheh

Shutter durability depends on your camera model.  Normally, entry level bodies claim to have a shutter life of 50k actuations.  Some go way beyond 50k and some don't even reach the said number.  This should not be a concern because the entire shutter assembly can be replaced(not reset) at a very reasonable price.

On the Topic: I am just concerned with people who bought their camera for the wrong reason.. I sold mine last month.. We owned 4 DSLR before, ngayon 2 nalang + 1 yung boyfie (canon). Concern ako dun sa mga camera users na shot ng shot using DSLR without even thinking about angles and other things.. and those people who bought their camera using AUTO - sana hindi nalang sila bumili. And I know some few people who lend their DSLR to others.. Ohmy! syempre yung ibang tao na walang ganun - sabik na sabik at kung makashot kala mo kanila. hehe Medyo naiirita lang kasi ako sa trend ngayon eh, bibili ka ng expensive camera para lang gumawa ng mirror shot at ipost sa FB at sabihin Yeah I am a photographer! hehe. No offense but I believe serious photographer would agree on my post. Siguro kaya ko pinasok ang topic ng actuation, kasi before buying review the product first and research.. Know your purpose too when buying a DSLR.

For the record, I sold mine because its not practical anymore.. we have a lot of camera and it so stupid naman na magpicturan kayo isa isa.. Just my two cents

Nikon guarantees the shutter mechanisms of the D40, D40X and D60 to 50,000 actuations. (As a point of reference, the titanium shutters in the professional-level F3 were rated to 150,000 actuations, and the current pro bodies such as the F6 and D3 are rated to 300,000.)

This does not, however, mean that your camera will die the instant you take picture # 50,000. Nikon's guarantee is that that shutter has been designed to perform at least 50,000 actuations, and that production samples have consistently achieved that number during testing.

Of course, as a precision device some failure must be expected and some people do report shutter failure before the 50,000th actuation - but many people also report shutter life far in excess of the rating.

mga sis relax lang kayo wag nyo masyado isipin ang maximum actuations..
may kakilala ako professional photographer sya sa mga schools... He is using D40x for almost ten years na still up and running pa..
Enjoy nyo lang ang pagpicture..eventually masisira din naman talaga ang electronic item sa katagalan na lang din minsan... ang importante naenjoy mo ang paggamit nito...

Mga sis pag nag tratravel ba kayo pinapadaan nyo sa x-ray baggage yung dslr nyo ? Hindi naman ba maapektuhan or masisira yung cam ?

Speaking of actuations, ewan ko ba pero pinagtatawanan ako ng mga kaklase ko sa photography kasi naka-100 shots na sila, ako 10 shots pa lang.. ang kuripot ko daw. Lol! Kasi pag nakuha ko na yun anggulo na gusto ko, stop na ko eh.

I think what's important is that you make your shots count. Depende na lang talaga sa tao if you're trigger happy or very conservative about your shots.

As for the DSLR as point and shoot, personally nasasayangan ako. Sayang yung pera kasi baka there are P&S models that can give them what they need naman, sayang yung camera na baka di ma-maximize yung function at iiwanan lang kasi mabigat.

Though I have this sentiment, I also recognize that I cannot fault them for doing so - they have the money and it's their camera to use as they see fit. Maybe playing around with the settings can eventually lead them to explore other modes for more creative possibilities, and eventually maging magaling din magtimpla!

mga sis, please help naman po, ano po ba difference ng canon lens na 18-55mm kit lens sa 18-135mm kitlens? i'm planning to buy Canon EOS 550d pero di ko alam kung ano pipiliin na lens na kasama dito. dslr newbie here. i'm planning to use the camera more on portraits (i want the blurry background effect) hirap kasi pag point and shoot ang bagal ng shutter, by the time na nagshutter na, nawala na ngiti ng baby ko, hehe) and for the quality photos na nagagawa na rin ng dslr kaya parang gusto  ko na magshift sa dslr from point and shoot. i'm really willing to learn. pero medyo lito lang me kung ano sa dalawa maganda na lens for beginners. sana may maadvise kayo. thanks

get 50mm lens for Canon - we have that di yan nazozoom.. 4k lang ata siya, protrait lens talaga yan. di nga lang yan kasama sa mga kit lens. Ang mga kit lens kasi na kasama panay zoom lens lang pero okay din naman for photography - portrait kaso pag zobrang zoom na malabo siya.
