Videos taken from nikon cameras has a bit of a lag and that is why even die hard nikonians use canon for video.

Ah talaga? Bat parang di ko napapansin sa kin yun lag? Paanong lag ba? I have a d300s nga pala.

Buti ka pa.. ako kasi lagi na lang naeexploit ang talent ko.. hehe.. di kasi ako marunong magsabi na magbayad naman sila.. nahihiya kasi ako kasi nga mga friends ko eh  Tapos pag pinupuri sa facebook yun mga post nilang pics na kuha ko, in fairness sinasabi naman nila na ako ang kumuha (exact words, "kuha yan ng bff ko na hobbyist kaya thank you sa kanya").. nyek

Basic lang gamit ko d90+ 18-105 +50mm +Sb700
At maraming lakas ng loob haha...
Nagcover na din ako ng mga events ng close friends.. Panay probono lol....

Eto first client ko japanese girl sya nag post lang sa local ads dito sa SG na naghahanap ng amateur photographer to cover her party.... Edi nagmessage naman ang lola mo....
Try lang wala lang magawa di naman ako serious rumaket... E nagustuhan naman nya ang simple portfolio ko kasi casual party lang naman daw......so ayun go na ako.... Mamayang gabi ang party nya sosyalan ang venue haha....goodluck na lang lol....

^ayos na ayos na yan.. importante diyan yun flash.. hehe. Maganda diyan bounce mo lang yun flash para maganda kalat ng ilaw sa subjects mo.. ewan.. yan turo ng mga pro kong classmates eh.. pansin ko mas maganda nga naman features ng subjects pag di nakarekta yun flash.

^thanks for the links sis. Yun video, pinanuod mo ba mabuti yun video quality ng canon (without listening to what he's saying?).. hindi naman sharp yun focus eh.. watch mo po without the audio. While yun write up naman, well, I respect his opinion. More than a year ko ng gamit d300s ko, I am fond of taking videos kasi so almost always I use the video mode din and di naman ako nakakaexperience ng lags (kung ano man ibig sabihin nun hehe).

Im using kata dr 466..... Pero kasama sa wish ko ang think tank retro 5 hahaha at new lens yung sigma 17-50 2.8 os lol

what can you say about samsung DSLR's? my bf is thinking of buying the new samsung NX200. gusto nya daw talunin features ng dslr ko. lol. it's a compact camera pero changeable ang lens. basically, dslr na compact.

^Ang Samsung kasi bago pa lang.. yung galaxy phone nga eh, nagkakasablay pa. Ewan ko din ha. Kung ako mas gusto ko yun subok na kasi di naman mura ang camera eh plus di ka naman magpapalit niyan yearly.

medyo wala ako masyado naririnig sa sa samsung DSLR.. if u want it small na may lens... meron din ang nikon.. search for nikon 1. J1 at V1 yata un...
kaso halos kapresyo na din ng big SLR...

The video from the 7d was shot in manual focus so if the focus is not sharp enough, the camera is not to blame.  And quite a number of professional wedding photographers with Nikon's system use Canon for video.  Some Hollywood films were shot with a Canon 5D mk2.  It was used for action shots seen on Captain America.  Iron Man is also an example. 

Don't get me wrong, both Canon and Nikon take excellent pictures but when it comes to videos, the former clearly has an edge.

I'm not familiar with the prices of Nikons and I'm not sure if its within your budget but I'd prefer the D90 over d3100/d5100.

pa join din po! newbie din when it comes to dslr. p&s lang gamay ko. just bought canon 600d + 18-135mm kitlens. sharing it with my hubby. kakatapos ko lang mag back read from thread 2, di ko na kasi makita yung thread 1. still learning the basics by reading online, tips from colleague na marunong na sa dslr and here sa threads na nababasa ko. dami ko na na-gather na info. pareho kami ni hubby na beginner pa lang talaga with dslr. haays sana matutunan ko na talaga para naman magamit namin ng maayos sa bakasyon namin dyan sa 'pinas ngayong holiday season.
