YEAST INFECTION
« on: October 18, 2011, 02:17:04 am »
hello mga sis , well i wanna ask something that concerns our private part.
well i noticed this "cottage cheese" like discharge ko.

then i see my panties like have yellowish green thingy.

my borfirend (whom really helped me a lot with the research) told me it might be
yeast infection.
then i researched a lot.
i noticed that some of the symptoms are itching, cottage cheese like discharge.
im afraid merun ata akong yeast infection, then i saw this home remedies

which is putting a plain yogurt sa tampon. or tea tree oil.

I WANNA KNOW IF THIS IS EFFECTIVE?

coz some girls on what ive searched claim that it works.
(since yogurt prevent yeast infection because of good bacteria)

im thinking about trying the tea tree oil with tampon. kc ang weird [textspeak!] kung mag lalagay ako ng food hehe

anyway im not planning to see a doctor any sooner. (mahal kc fee and i dont have someone to go with me, im living alone here in pinas, and nsa US c boyfriend :()
so i will start to eat veggies only starting tomorrow.
no sugars muna ako (because sugar makes the yeast infection more active based on my research)

========

i cant reply on my post , why is that?!

anyway mga sis thank you so much.!!! mua mua!
i went to my OB yesterday , pnagalitan ako ng bestfriend ko hahaha

so aun i did my one day treatment last night

babalik ako sa ob ko sa saturday for pap smear, (masakit ba yun?)

aun i can feel effective [textspeak!] gamot n binigay skin.

tugma [textspeak!] cnbi niya skin effect nung gamot,

she gave me the funzela and the canesten vaginal tablet. (expensive but worth it, i hope)
im really thankful for all the help sis. lalo n sa OB ko c Dr.otitco of tophealth medical clinic.

she also explained to me where girls could get it and kung anung bawal skin na kainin.

(im relieve!!!)

@karizza:

if you want a free consult, meron sa selected Mercury drugstores. You can go to Government hospitals rin for free.

If you don't treat that with antibiotics SOON, the infection might go up to your uterus and tubes, and you might lose your childbearing capacity altogether.

Mababaog ka.

Is your fertility not worth spending a day to consult an OB/Gyne?

Please reconsider getting an antibiotic prescription.

PS: Do NOT self-medicate. Lalo lang yan lalala.

which is putting a plain yogurt sa tampon. or tea tree oil.

I WANNA KNOW IF THIS IS EFFECTIVE?

You will be introducing MORE germs into your vagina.

Do you wanna wait until the infection creeps up into your uterus and eventually, blood?

Google "pelvic inflammatory disease septic shock" please.

This is your life at stake here.

(mahal kc fee and i dont have someone to go with me, im living alone here in pinas, and nsa US c boyfriend :( )

Living alone IS NOT AN EXCUSE.

I WAS living alone when I found out that I had Stage 3B CANCER.

If I went to the OB sooner, maybe my tummy didn't have to get sliced up 3 times.

Please stop self-medicating with home remedies.

Nasa huli LAGI ang pagsisisi.

Hi there!

I do understand what you are feeling right now regarding what you feel in seeking medical attention regarding your medical condition. I also felt the same when i first had my OB check-up. I too experienced this kind of symptoms. yes its itchy sometimes burning and its really bothersome.
I had papsmear. its really not painful but uncomfy lang. and i was given a medication for my fungal infection. its an oral medication for 2 days and its expensive because its a little tablet. then after i had my results the OB prescribed a suppository to treat the infection for i think 7 dyas or 14 (i forgot).

What i can advice you is to seek medical attention while its still early and it won't cost much pa. its normal to feel shy but trust me they do help alot and they won't judge you so just be honest and tell them everything or your history. :-*

nagpunta ako sa OB kanina tapos based on symptoms na meron ako, may vaginal candidiasis/yeast infection ako.

para dun sa white discharge na parang gel, she gave me Funzela.

tapos yung yellowish discharge na may parang maasim na smell, she gave me Dazomet.

She recommended Gynepro naman for feminine wash.

I aked din pano ba yun nakukuha bakit tayo nagkakaron non and she answered all my questions naman, di din nakakahiyang magtanong kasi friendly siya, even yung secretary niya so wala akong pressure na na feel. She didn't advise papsmear kasi hindi pa ko pwede.

@ sis so_bloo and candi

pwede daw sa kakasuot ng tight underwear and pants, yung maong. and dapat daw cotton instead na nylon panties. kasi di daw nakaka "breathe" yung down there natin.

isang culprit din yung everyday naka panty liner, di din daw advisable since wala din air, meaning kulob yung down there lagi.

tapos baka daw moist down there, meaning pag mahilig kang maghugas down there at di napapatuyo ng maayos.

I had before, super itchy sya, so ginawa ng OB ko, niresetahan nya ako ng vaginal suppository, then may isang tablet sya na pinainom sa akin which cost 350. Ang mahal, pati [textspeak!] vaginal supp. 150 isa, for 7 days, pero atleast okey na ngayon.. So mas better if you consult your OB regarding your concern.. Mahirap kasi mag self medication :)

Thanks sis saint_sinner. Guilty ako sa 2nd and 3rd. Na search ko naman na ang Candida infection is caused by overgrowth candida sa intestine natin kaya dapat laging kumain ng probiotic like yogurt, Yakult, and etc. I'm taking Mega Acedophilus GNC din now for my candida.

@ sis itsmisszhyrin

yung akin sis 400+ yung 1 maliit na tablet. hehe.. oo nga super mahal nya. aside dun may iba pa sya binigay though tig 12 pesos lang, nag oral ako since di pa ko pwede mag suppository.

@candi

talaga sis? di pamandin ako mahilig sa mga ganun especially yakult, ayoko kasi ng lasa nya, pero will start eating yogurt na para makatulong.

update: as of yesterday, i thought i was dry down there, pagkakita ko merong white na parang gel discharge. nagsuot kasi ako ng nylon panty, ayoko kasi nung may garter eh. so ayun. pero iwasan ko muna mga yun at balik cotton undies ako, pansin ko pag sa cotton undies wala akong discharge at wala ding foul smell.

^yes sis, dati I hate yogurt buti na lang before pa ako magka-candida infection na appreciate ko na ang yogurt. I love Yakult naman eversince I was a child.

Hirap maging babae ano? :-\

^ oo nga sis. tapos ako dagdag pa sa gawain ko yung i blow bry yung down there. inadvise kasi ng ob ko yun para sure na tuyo sya before wearing undies. pero make sure na cool yung settings ng blow dryer.

sis pa check ka kaagad, ako so far wala pa namang yellowish na parang cheese discharge. yun kasi yung may foul smell eh, parang maasim.

Had the same thing, was prescribed 2 tablets of DIFLUCAN 150 mg and 3 GYNO DAKTARIN 400 mg (suppository).  Here's what I was advised to do:

Day 1: Take Diflucan (after meal) then insert suppository (before going to bed - not the greatest feeling)
Day 2: Insert suppository
Day 3: Insert suppository
Day 4: Take Diflucan

Nawala yung yeast infection ko after I followed the doctor's advised.  Imagine, I suffered with this infection for 6 months because I was scared and embarrassed to consult a doctor, thinking that it would go away on it's own, so lesson learned, if there's something wrong - consult a doctor and do not rely on DR. @thesis_gal

yes sis, very well said. dapat talaga consult agad sa OB. this is what i've learned din sa mga sissies natin dito.

ako naman funzela and dazomet sa day 1. tapos day 2-7 dazomet, twice a day. on my 7th day nagkaroon ako ng white, gel-like discharge pero di pa ko nakabalik ng ob. after ko sa mga medicines prescribed, nasa monitoring stage ako. madalas kasi magka discharge ako pag malapit na period ko. at since matagal pa before dumating period ko, nagmomonitor lang muna ako ngayon, pag bumalik ang discharge, balik ako agad sa OB.
