Hello sisses! Ask ko lang magkano average sweldo ng executive assistant kapag wala pang experience working abroad?

I was offered a job kasi in Dubai via an agency here in Pinas. Pero feeling ko mababa ang package. 3000 dirhams lang kasi free naman daw lodging, transpo and food. Ok na ba yan mga sis? Or free naman talaga ang lodging, transpo at food sa lahat ng companies sa Dubai?

Please enlighten me. TIA!

^Depende Sis kung anong company ang aaplayan mo.  Hotel ba yan? Sino daw ang iaasist mo?
Ano ano ang mga benefits?
-yearly ticket ba?
-solo mo ba ang accommodation
-ano ang cover ng medical insurance? kasama ba ang dental and optical benefits? (+ sa akin ito coz i really need this two)
-may live-out allowance ba? (this is if gusto mong hindi tumira sa accommodation na provided ng company, may ibang company na merong katapat na cash value yun. So you can rent somewhere else)

Lodging, Transpo and Food usual na binibigay sa mga nagtatrabaho sa Hotel (Hospitality Industry) or even sa mga restaurants and some fastfood chains.  Yung friend ko sa Spa sya nagwowork pero hindi part ng hotel yung Spa.  She has lodging and transpo pero no food. Ako administration ang line ko, pero wala akong lodging, food and transportation benefit.  Cash nila binibigay sa akin ito as allowance. which is 40% of my gross income.  May kamag-anak ka ba dito sa UAE? Will you be able to live with them? if yes, then the Live-out Option is important, kase you may save some money because of that since baka di mo na kelangan magbayad ng renta or if magbabayad ka hindi ganun ka mahal.  Pero compute compute ng maayos baga mamaya lugi ka rin.

If wala kang kamag-anak dito, mas safe na tumira ka sa accommodation, that's my opinion ha based on my experience.  Mahal dito ang bedspace, I heard its around 700 dirhams na ngayon and its really small as in bedspace, but you can find good place din naman if you are lucky.  And then you have to sort out your transportation din...nakakapressure sya if bago ka dito.  Whereas if sa accommodation, paglabas mo ng building andun na transpo mo and you don't need to worry about food (although I wasn't a fan of the food served in the accommodation hehe)

^^who would sponsor you Sis? First thing you need to do when you get here is take the exam to be eligible to work as a Nurse.  Actually, meron ata dyan sa Pinas yun eh so pagdating mo dito apply ka na lang agad.  try searching for HAAD examination or DHA ata yun.

^Call Center not sure but you can look at websites like Bayt.com or Monstergulf or Naukrigulf (not sure if .com or .ae yung last 2 sites) to get an idea.  As for Admin see din the sites, i'm in admin. If you are not too choosy marami naman atang secretarial/receptionist jobs here.  Sipag lang talaga at tiyagaan sa pag aapply.  Goodluck Sis!

Hi sisses .. Anyone here who has renewed their passport? Where'd you think it's easier dubai or Abu Dhabi?

@ mossbabe, I renewed my passport in auh ok naman the que is not that much kung super early morning ka mag punta probably by 7:30 andun ka na, A friend who's residing and working in Dubai renew her passport here in abu dhabi mas less stress daw according to her.

I renewed mine early this year in AUH, twice ako bumalik. First was I just wrote my name on their logbook for the actual passport renewal. They will give you the form and then yung in-charge ilalagay nya sa likod yung date and time kung kailan mo dapat bumalik for your passport renewal. Parang reservation lang, limited lang kasi yung irerenew nila per day. I came early din, I was able to join their flag raising ceremony.

When the day came for me to go back (20 days after my first), orderly and madali lang yung procedure ng pagpaparenew.

But I hope di na ganito yung system nila ngayun kasi hassle masyado sa mga may work kasi you need to go there twice.

Sis siguro depende din sa yo kung mabilis ka makakahanap ng work. Dubai is just like Pinas na nowadays, hindi na katulad ng dati na naglipana ang trabaho.  They said it was easier to find work before than it is today.  Pero kung masipag ka at matiyaga na mag-apply apply everyday, for sure makakahanap ka naman.

Yung brother ko na visit visa lang dito was able to find a work before his 2 months visa expired, same with his gf and 2 of their friends.  Pero matiyaga yang mga yan, as in araw araw lumalabas sila para sa walk-ins and they even went to Abu Dhabi, tapos sa gabi they'd pass their CVs online naman.  They also called their friends, yung mga kakilala nila dito na pede sila i-refer. 

Sana meron ka dito matutuluyan na kamag-anak para less hassle.  They stayed with me for the span of their 2 months visa, so wala na sila problem sa kuryente, tubig, pagkain, internet...all they needed to sort out is their pamasahe and food if they are outside the house. Maswerte na kayo kase meron na ditong Metro (train) kase easier na to get to places and you don't need to pay hefty taxi fares.  Magtingin tingin ka na rin ng mga website ng hospital dito to get an idea what staff they need.

Ask ko lang po... Ikukuha po namin ng residence visa ang baby ko.. Dito ko po siya pinanganak sa Abu Dhabi.  Nakatira po kami sa isang Villa and meron po kaming Tenacy Contract since Feb 2012.. Kelangan po ba authenticated ng Municipality ang Tenacy Contract para i-grant ang application namin for residency?  Nung tinawagan ko ang Real Estate, sabi nila tatanggapin pa daw po ang Tenacy Contract namin ng Immigration kung mag-apply kami ng residence visa until December pero pagpasok ng 2013 hindi na daw po...

@winshe, we just recently applied a residence visa for our 2nd baby. as in last week lang inasikaso ni hubby. though sa al ain cya nagpunta coz al ain visa cya pero apparently hindi cya hinanapan ng tenancy contract at all. kung hindi pa nga daw nya binigay! we also have a friend who recently applied a visa for their maid sa abu dhabi, di rin daw naghanap ng tenancy contract ang auh immigration. i suggest you apply for your baby's visa now while maluwag pa sila. alam mo naman ang mga utak ng mga locals, kung ano maisipan lang! baka next year, iba na naman ang rules nila.

@larlaanne, yes narerefund ang 5k bond deducted nga lang ng bank fees which is 10 or 20 dhs ata

^kami kasi non, nagpagawa si MIL ng affidavit sa pinas saying that she's unemployed and no income, that hubby will be the one to support her etc. kaya lang kasi di naman married yung parents ni hubby. so di ako sure kung ano need na papers pag married ang parents and separated na. legally separated ba sila?
