^No, it is different from your personal SSS #. If you read the link I shared a few posts up. To quote:

"The ER is different from the individual social security numbers to differentiate from an employer's own contributions and those remitted for their househelp"

It's vague Lang how do we apply for this, if you have to go to the office or online. Dreading to go to an SSS office

^i see...

found this on SSS website. this might help us be enlightened ;)

https://www.sss.gov.ph/sss/downloads/SSSWebRegFAQ.pdf

3. How do I register if I am a household employer?
Household employers who have existing SS numbers and have been reported for coverage
either as employed/self-employed/voluntary/OFW/non-working spouse members or are
retirement pensioners may register at My.SSS as member and should use the details of their
current membership status in the registration.
However, household employers falling under the following categories cannot yet register in the
SSS website as household employer:
• Household employers with SS number but who have not been reported for coverage either
as employed/self-employed/voluntary/OFW/non-working spouse member;
• Household employers with SS number who are sixty (60) years old and above and who
have not been reported for coverage as employed/self-employed/voluntary/OFW/nonworking spouse member; and
• Household employers with no contribution payment as employed/selfemployed/voluntary/OFW/non-working spouse member.

or maybe this...

Household Employers

A household employer should accomplish SSS Forms R-1 (Employer Registration) and R-1A (Employment Report) for the issuance of an Employer Number which shall be used in all transactions with regard to his/her household helper

so i guess first step is to register at a branch, then also sign up online so we can view transactions, report contributions to SSS of the household employer and the house help.

^based on what i've read from several sites, we can't register them as voluntary  :( if they were, before this bill was passed, they need to change the employment status.

when you change helpers naman, you just need to discontinue the old helper from your list and then add the SSS number of the new one to your employees.

there's a lot of loopholes in the bill  :(

sis, question please. I already have all the forms filled up. Pwede ba maski representative ko pupunta sa SSS to get an Employer Number for me? Kailangan din ba i-present yung employment certification and contract?

Meron na kasing SSS number yung Manang ko when we took her in. Bale we just continued her contributions by giving her the money tapos sya na yung naghuhulog. Parang voluntary yung lumalabas.

Thanks!  :)

(d) Authorized deductions - mandatory deductions are SSS, Philhealth and Pag-ibig if the salary equals or exceeds P5,000 kasi may share na siya (see below)
"26. Who will pay the SSS premium, and PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG contributions of the kasambahay?
The employer, if the wage of the kasambahay is less than P5,000.00.
If the wage of the kasambahay is P5,000.00 or more, the kasambahay will pay his/her share in the premiums/contributions."

With regards sa contribution, the same table of SSS contribution din ba ang susundin, or may separate table for HH? If below Php5,000 ang salary ni HH, that means tayong mga employers ang responsible to pay the  Employer and Employee + EC  premiums?

@chixilog - nope, they haven't consolidated.  I don't think they will EVER consolidate.  Magka-away mga gov't agencies natin.  Kaa impossible yan.  Ngayon palang nga, nahihilo na sila sa bagong law e.  Kasi, sila mismo - they don't know what to really do.

Re: birth certificate - its up to you if you want to shoulder it.  ako kasi, i pay first, then ibabawas ko sa kanila AND i give them the original copy.  I just keep a photocopied one for my record.  I always tell them na magagamit nila yung birth certificate sila.  Kanila naman yun diba?  Unless you need it for visa purposes, like si Yaya ko, I needed to get an NSO birth certificate for Japan visa, so ako nagbayad nun..

Medyo one sided yung Kasambahay law.
