With my maids, our agreement is they pay for their fare going to the province then I pay for the fare coming back to MNL. They get to go on a 1mo leave pero they only get half a month's pay. Usually kasi they want to take their leave at the same time so no choice ako but to hire a temp.

      1 day off after every 6 days of continuous work, tapos only  5 days paid vacation leave AFTER 1 year of service diba? 

So, kung wala pa 1 year of service, no 5 days with pay. 

CHERRYS, almost all of us give free fare for bakasyon now. But we are not required to by the KBill di ba?

The June implementation, I honestly don't know.  As for the day off, yes, that's how I understand it.  But I'm not sure how to strictly implement the 24-hour day-off, meaning what to do if the maid doesn't come back on time, which usually happens.  Also they can not demand the specific day unless you have previously talked about it and agreed on it.

Free fare is definitely not required put paid leave, yes.

sis, effective na ang Republic Act 10361, i quote:

"SEC. 45. Effectivity Clause. – This Act shall take effect fifteen (15) days after its complete publication in the Official Gazette or in at least two (2) national newspapers of general circulation."

the RA was published in the Official Gazette on Jan 18, so this is effective Feb 2. yung IRR ang hindi pa yata napu-publish, draft pa lang, so wala pang exact effective date.

^hmmm.. di ko napanood yun eh.. maybe that was the effective date of the IRR.. honestly i'm still confused about the whole RA effectivity and IRR effectivity. any lawyers here who can shed light on this? hehe

The Kasambahay Law will be implemented by the end of this month, IRR was already signed.

How do you register? Kailangan ko pang pumunta sa SSS? Cause my helps for the longest time pay their contributions as personally employed/voluntary contirbutions

ni-ready ko na nga mga forms, ni re-type ko pa yung contract at gumawa ako ng sariling payslip, leave, at salary advance form. pero diyan ako sa need to register as employer talaga nainis huh! baka dahil diyan kapag wala ka na helper at hindi ka na nagcocontribute e sulatan ka pa at tanungin nila bakit di na naco-contribute ang 'company' mo...?

i think you will also use your same sss number to register for your employer sss number e. hindi ko pa siya nagagawa since parating pa lang helper ko. i still have 1 week to do these things before she arrives
