Yun nga sis diba? If the new amos wont fill up the missed contributions, surely the HHs wont bother completing it as well. So what makes the SSS and PHilhealth for HHs with missed contributions? Hindi na mapakinabangan kasi the HHs wont be able to avail the SSS and Philhealth benefits. Not unless they will find a way to complete their contributions.

hahaha.. napa-tumbling din ako dun sa HH na magna-nursing huh.. ang galing nilang mag-isip.. akala nila ganun-ganun nalang.. okay mag-aral sila pero dapat 2 subjects lang every sem ang kunin para hindi ma-istorbo ang trabaho.. ^^

i agree dun sa missed contribution.. hindi dapat i-shoulder ng 2nd employer.. i-continue lang ang hulog kung kelan sya nag-start magwork uli..

Ay totoo ka dun MrsKolca. Imahine another option is culinary. May idea ba sila gaano kamahal ang culinary classes?!!! Gosh ako nga nanghihinayang sa tuition na ibabayad ko sakali kaya nag aaral na lang ako by myself eh

Exactly!  But based on a news article I've read, an official from the labor department said na tayo daw dapat ang magbabayad (pipila) for these.  When he was asked paano yung mga busy sa work, find a way daw.  Ngeek!  Although, yung mga papeles ng kasambahay, dapat yata kumpleto na upon hiring.  Di ko lang alam what to do if yun nga walang mapresent sa employer.

Grabe parang dito ako na HB sa sinabi nila rito na find a way?  Ganun na lang yun? Kaya nga sa corporate world may sariling Accountant or kung minsan it can be HR, secretary or kung sino man sa admin staff kasi sila mismo nag-aasikaso nito eh! saka sila ang naglalakad nito. Alangan naman yung boss ng company ang gagawa nito. At saka isa pa sana man lang bukas ang government offices ng Saturday at Sunday para maging madali ito. Hindi ba nila naisip kung bakit naghihire ng maids kahit yung iba hindi naman mayaman? Dahil sa kalokohang bill na ito I am sure meron at meron na magkakaroon ng anak pero yung Nanay hindi makakapag hire ng Yaya dahil dito tapos mapipilitan tuloy siyang maging housewife dahil kailangang alagaan ang anak. Kasi wala rin eh! nagkatulong nga siya pero hassle sa hulugan. Hindi ba nila naiisip na yung ibang offices strict in terms of absences and tardiness. Ano yung magfafile pa ng leave because of that para magbayad?

^Exactly!  Based dun sa mga sagot nila, from that labor dept. official to the authors of this bill, they all assumed na "mayayaman" or business owners ang mga may kasambahay/yaya/maid.  Kasi ba naman ang sagot nga is "find a way" ang kadugtong nun is ipaasikaso daw sa mga "tauhan".  So parang ganun na nga ibig sabihin.  Hanapin ko nga yung article na yun.  Sa site yun ng ABS-CBN if I'm not mistaken.

Here's an excerpt of what she said about the SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG payment in response to one employer's suggestions/complaints:
She (Catherine Legados-Parado, director of the Department of Labor and Employment Bureau of Working Conditions) said the DOLE will consider the proposal to put up a one-stop shop. She also suggested that the employers send someone else to pay for the benefits.

No one needs to shoulder missed contributions.  NORMAL lang yung may mga butas sa contributions lalo na kung unemployed ka at certain times of the year.

If may new HH kayo na may SSS id pero walang hulog for a year or months, WALA KAYONG obligation to pay those 'butas' kasi hindi naman sila employed sayo. 

You will start paying for their share WHEN they start their employment with you.

We have been doing this for a long long time na, giving HH SSS PHIL and Pagibig benefits kasi we knew na it was a requirement of law.  Apparently, hindi pala.  But good narin for us, since sanay na kami, ok na.

If your HH doesn't have an SSS, PHIC, Pagibig numbers - you can get it for them, or they can get it themselves.  They just need to fill up forms, bring their birth certificate/baptismal certificate and fall in line sa nearest SSS office to get their number.  IF walang birth certificate, they can show a baptismal certificate - they will be given a temporary SSS number lang.  You can pay contributions and credit to their SSS number BUT hindi nila makukuha ang mga benefits UNLESS they present the birth certificate (para maging permanent yung number)

If hindi na sila employed with you, you can just stop paying their contributions.  Simple lang naman yan, and beneficial to them.

And problem lang is if they DON'T have the necessary papers like birth certificate and etc.

Yan ang malaking question mark for me.  Kasi most HH wala naman silang documents na dala eh, diba?  so how will you verify IF they claim to be who they are, gets?

You are only obliged to pay for their schooling hanggang HS lang.
Pag college, grabe!  Eh di lahat ng gustong magaral ng libre sa college, papasok nalang ng katulong diba?

^^ganun nga nangyari sa helper ko.. wala syang birth cert. at any valid ID di pa talaga maasikaso either SSS or PhilHealth nya.. staka yun nga, she is already getting P5,500 monthly so I told her na bahala na sya kung gusto ba nya ng benefits or not..

Be careful with the legally-mandated contributions: SSS,PhilHealth & PagIbig.
EVEN IF your employee/maid does not like to contribute -- YOU MUST deduct & remit.  If you don't -- the penalties are big;  & meron pang jail term for you, if nagka case over non-remittance.   You also open yourself to blackmail/harassment from the syndicates quoting DOLE.  O maliwanag ha -- hindi ko say DOLE, but syndicates quoting...

This KBill will make it harder too for ome maids to be employed given the requirements, and the fact that amos will be more picky now -- eh kasi dami kuskos ekek.  And some get priced out of the market, sa daming contributions & all.

^Exactly the point yung mga amo magiging choosy which indeed can't blame them. Ang either yung kilala talaga nila ang ihahire nila, I mean yung galing sa kakilala at alam ang ugali or hindi na lang talaga sila maghire ng maid just like in American system na hindi kadalasan magmaid.

Kaya yung mga maids na nagtatangka pang magdemand lalong mahihirapan rin.

btw sino sino ba mga author ng bill na ito aside kay Jinggoy? Just to check out lang na hindi ko sila kasama sa listahan ng mga iboboto ko.

^^Its not bahala na siya if gusto niyang benefits - KELANGAN mo yung gawin for her.  Whats good is that her sweldo is P5,500 na so that means hati na kayo, may employee employer share...

I am honestly FOR the rights of our Kasambahay, but the bill is not 100% OK sana may mga ibang provisions na tinanggal.

Sa totoo lang, when you read through the bill - its confusing!  Kasi at one part, ito ang sinasabing gawin mo, then another - ito naman.  MAgulo niya t be honest.  I really want to see the IRR 

And this IRR - for sure will take soooooooo long to come out.

I think ang habol lang ng lahat ng HH is the 13th month pay.  I'm sure most everyone gives bonuses na diba?

I heard on the radio na you can terminate yayas/maids if they can't perform their duties well.  Grounds daw yun for termination.
