^yes pwede naman siguro sa bank. kasi sa bank din ako nagbabayad ng sss since self-employed ako. ang problem, they don't always have the form. mabilis maubos.

if this bill is unstoppable we shall adopt and evolve. hehe.

me and my friends are thinking na to not get "kasamabahay". invest na lang sa mga appliance for easy living, parang sa states. we are thinking of putting up a cleaning service business na rin and daycare service.

Good luck.  You will never run out of clients.

However, a BFF who runs a maid agency gave up on this 2 years ago.
1st, it is hard  to train for standard service.  Then, the girls come and go. Finally, the exception is the trustworthy service girl, karamihan malikot kamay daw.

But then, baket laundry services ok naman. Kaya it is hard to get a Lavandera who is also a good planchadora -- Lolz, lahat nasa Metropole & the like.  Minimum 10thou don, with 1 day off per week, with OT.

Me and my hubby disagree with this k-bill ... why? simply because dehado sa part natin as employer ang mga nakasaad sa bill naito. Puros pakabig on the kasambahay ... daming benefits at privileges di bale kung worthy ibigay ... pero sad to say not all "kasambahay" are worthy (walang "k") to get those perks in this bill.

On the part us, as their employer ... eh lugi talaga tayo why? kasi ni walang nakasaad for our protection against manlolokong kasambahay. Hindi patas eh. Super unfair sa side ng employer. Libre na nga sa tirahan, kuryente, food ... tapos nadagdagan pa because of that bill. This maid in my sample has a debt for more than 7k na sa kanyang employer (including yung 1. airfare niya nung kinuha siya from her provice. It is clearly stated dun sa maids contract na pinirmahan niya kaharap ang amo niya na that airfare will be FREE if she will work and stay with them for a year ... but if not she has to pay it either cash or pagsislbihan niya - which is tama lang na bayaran niya noh ... ang pera pinaghihirapan at hindi napupulot kung saan lang .... tarbaho ang pinasokan niya at hindi isang charitable institution. 2. 3. Advances 4.

Just like in my sample story, ano ang magiging habol naming employers sa mga ganyang klaseng kasambahay? I Hope President Pnoy will think many many times bago nya ipasa ang bill na ito. Please think of us employers also.

Thanks.

who will shoulder the filing for the birth certificate?

So, luhaan nalang tayo? Tapos sila may birth certificate na! *high blood mode*

And true, because of "late registration" feeling ko din may mga charges nga.

For our construction business laborers -- anyone who cannot produce a SSS number after 3 months:  sorry, out.

for the helpers, we can make the SSS number a prerequisite, or --   just withhold the deductions, & then, make them sign that they commit to produce their membership numbers  as soon as possible -- have that statement of commitment notarized.
Diligently hold back deductions & if there are penalties later on -- clearly, the helper shoulders such. Cuentas claras.

based on my exeprience in 1 year time naka palit ako ng 4 na HH laging nalulungkot daw.  meron isa sinumbong sakin ng kapitbahay namin na pag wala ako karga anak ko at kasama mag yosi. susko! ninakawan na ako at basta nalang lumayas!

http://www.abs-cbnnews.com/business/10/13/12/sss-hike-members-contribution-rate

And if they are planning to go on leave eh at least 24 hours they should ask permission hindi yung, they will ask permission now, gusto nila umalis/ pumasyal ngayon din.

naka-6months na ang helper ko sa akin.

now I gave her 2 options:
1. increase her suweldo
2. give her SSS, na ako lahat ang magbabayad including her supposed-to-be contribution, ako na ang magsho-shoulder

by the way, I also told her na nagbibigay talaga ako ng 13th month bonus.

I have NOT come across any amo to-date who favors this K Bill.

It is really just the Law of Supply & Demand that is moderating the behavior of amos & helpers these days -- OK naman.

Of course, may exceptions like really cruel amos -- but everything as in everything has an exception.
Why do the majority have to suffer for the exceptions?

^with the whole Bonita baran story & the pa-pogi of these politicos, no one even dared to publicly denounce the bill or else be cast in the same league as thE marzan couple. if one will look at the bill closely, in the long run even the maids themselves will be victims of this bill. Darating sa point na employers will get so fed up with the requirements they'll rather not have maids

4 times din in a year ka kukuha ng philhealth and sss?

im really ok with the fair salary and 13th month pay and bonuses. i just find it too cumbersome to get philhealth and sss for employees na di naman nakakatapos ng 6months contract. i mean to have to pay 4-5k every freaking time im hiring a helper from a new agency is too much. tapos may sss and philhealth pa to complicate it some more.

may time differential ba and overtime pay? seriously? most of the time my helper is in her room reading something, taking and a nap or gossiping with the neighbors' helpers. we have dinner at 4 or 5pm and at 7pm she's already in her room again, wakes up at 7am does some chores and 9am in her room again until she needs to potty the dogs again at 11. after lunch she's in her room again until she needs to bring out the dogs again at 3pm. does not cook. does not wash laundry. has once a month off but for 4 consecutive days. im pretty lenient though i dont allow salary advances and  switching of days off sched.

if i happen to need her for something after 8pm will i have to pay for over time?

^dami nga gray areas :(
ako, my helpers do not take the regular weekly day-off kasi naman, di naman sila ganun kapagod at straight magtrabaho. after their chores, nasa kwarto lang sila, nuod TV / DVD or nasa terrace chika with neighbors ganun. may load business pa nga sila eh na minsan istorbo ang mga customers hehe hindi rin sila required na intayin kami sa gabi. yung husband ko nga, sanay yun ng self-service sa gabi, kasi gabi na siya umuuwi, hindi na yun nagpapa-intay pa na pagbuksan ng gate or silbihan siya.

yun nga lang, pag nag-day off naman, overnight or 2 straight days, minsan sasabay pa sa holiday, like tomorrow :(

sis alam mo parang same tayo ng househelp.. hindi rin sila toxic sa work, as in after nila maghugas ng plato at punas2x ng alikabok rest lang sila or watch tv. yun nga lang pag nag dayoff eh talagang overnight. 3 years na rin sila sa akin.

i have given them increases in salary.. tapos pinapautang ko pa talaga pag kailangan.

Kasi I currently pay the HH PHP 3,500 eh ang minimum wage PHP 1500 lang. We live in a condo so ang liit lang ng lilinisin nya. Isa lang baby namin and im a stay at home mom so ako pa din nag aalaga breastfed pa so no bottles to clean sya. Take note di din sya marunong magluto so madalas ako pa din nagluluto for us.

Kung susundin this bill pwede ko kaya ibaba ang sweldo nya sa 1500 LOL tapos ill pay her SSS and philhealth baka total ng gastos sa kanya 2000 lang hehe

I've been out of the loop, any updates sa bill? Nasan na ba sya?

It will be passed soon.  It is in the Diarios.
My only objection is the 1 day off after every 6 days of work.

Sa akin, every 15 days, 1 day off overnight.  After 11 months of service - 1 month off with full pay & round trip, minimum yan.   May 13th month, Xmas & mid-year bonuses.   So technically, maka tipid ako.  So, I will negotiate all that for that  1 day off per week.

Remember who te godparents of that bill are --  think if they make our lives easier, if not -  think about opting for them. ARROYO, Gloria & Diosdado.  Angara too.
