Minimus as per manila: 2500, (she's paid 5,000)

I said, me Minimum na pla, pwede naman sundin ... Dka kya lugi jan inday?

Sabi ng katulong: me philhealth nko...  In a small uninterested voice,
Yung parang " change topic!".  Hahaha

Sorry if mababaw tanong ko. I just want to make thibgs clear mahirap na

That's my other issue pa about pregnant maids. Personally I don't like the idea so once I learn they are preggy I terminate them (of course with separation). You might find it discriminatory but they ont do office work but hard manual work. They shine the floors, go up the step ladders to clean the walls and top of cabinets and move heavy furniture to clean the floors underneath them and behind. Eh Kung makunan? Konsensiya ko! If ma-threaten abortion, eh di bed rest siya. Ano yun sagot ko pagkain, kuryente and tubig niya then with pay pa tapos no work?!? Hell no!

Aquacharly, though I'm a stay at home mom, having 3 young kids di ko din kakayanin that dayoff clause in the bill. Haggarda versoza ang ending ko. In terms of rest hours I think 10 hrs ata ang mandated. That's inclusive of the afternoon and evening rest

I really don't think the maids will agree with this too. Papayag ba sila to give personal contributions for philhealth + ^SSS + pagibig out of their own salary. Kasi on top of the matching contributions their emPloyers will provide, the maids should also give personal contributions

Pwede kayang lusot ito?

Since most sissies here offer a higher salary than required, baka pwedeng   "bilhin" na lang their day offs. Kumbaga rest day overtime. Double pay. Or pwede kaya na nasa contract eh since higher salary, forfeited na days off or converted na lang sa one month leave per year? Pwede kaya yun?

If the munimum is 3k eh 5k naman pasahod mo siguro naman enough na yun to compesate the 4 rest days na hindi na ibibigay.

^like what I mentioned in my previous posts, my maids are not pala-dayoff. Magastos kasi. As incentive if they don't take their dayoff, I say na incentive kasi I'm not harassed dahil complete attendance sila, I give them extra php 100 per dayoff not availed. So if they don't take their 2 days off, that's an additional php 200 for them. Pero oa naman ang 4 days off. In a year that's almost 10k. Tapos ano during those days they don't go out sagot ko food nila, kuryente and tubig. Luging-lugi ako. I seriously have to re-calculate their salaries para bottom-line at the end of the year same amount pa din ang gastos ko sa kanila (eh tutal ang aim naman daw of the bill is to professionalize the DH, eh di i-apply ko na din how they calculate salaries in multinational na ang salary indicated in annual).

Btw from what I know this is NOT yet a law. I think once mapasa sa congress they will have a bi-cam reading

I really think this will NOT prosper. Ganito one of the scenario:

Employer: 'day, Hindi ko na kaya magkaroon ng katulong kasi sa mga dagdag na benefits na sinasabi sa kasambahay bill. Hanggang katapusan ka na Lang

si Inday dahil takot mawalan ng work kasi may pinag-aaral pa at si hubby eh good for nothing lasengero, isasagot sa yo:

"hayaan mo na Lang yun ate. Ang importante may trabaho pa ko"

So ano kinahatnan nung kasambahay bill? Eh di wala. Cause even the maids will agree with the employer not to follow the law just so Hindi siya mawalan ng work

siguro either hindi niyo sundin yung bill (under the table agreement kayo) or sundin niyo.

Ha? 9-6pm Lang ang work? Wow! Eh tutal beyond 6pm...technically they're not working for me. So at that time Hindi ko dapat problema pagkain nila. Kasi pano yun if we have dinner at 7pm, sino maghugas ng plates, pots and pans ako di ba? Lugi naman ako, ako na nga gumastos for their dinner, pati pinagkainan nila at pinaglutuan ako din gagawa? On top pa 'to of preparing my kids for bed (kasi nga si yaya bawal na mag work beyond 6pm). If pa-work ko sila beyond that may OT dapat. Wow luging lugi ako

Sus, dear Senators and congressmen, are you really sure about the bill? sino gagawa ng mga work na 'to for you? Kayo? Or your spouses? Yeah right!

Hmm in our case most of the time minimum of 8hrs talaga. We usually retire in our rooms latest 9pm. Kaya nga I was so pissed off with my former maid when she made kuwento to my mom's maid that she barely gets any rest/sleep daw in our house. Then nahuli ko siya at 2am still on the cellphone talking to her boylet (take note she's married). So what do we do about that as employers?

Lols tama HUNNY ALLY baket mo pakainin dinner if after 6PM off  -- si  senyora pa magligpit sa kitchen. BS.

Eto -- Section 9
So, hindi mo dapat istorbohin AT ALL during rest hrs - including personal communication.
Like, if you come in late from a party -- she won't open the gate for you.  Lolz, bs.

Section 11:  we gotta provide lodging, food & eto ha: adequate medical attention
HINDI BA MAY PHILHEALTH  contributions na????

Maternity leave, 5-day advance notice for leaving you, 2x/monthly wage payment, 3years reord keeping. Footcha pati how file dinikta.

The times are a-changing.
We may be forced  actually to become less accommodating towards our helpers.  Henceforth -- we will become macuenta.
I may keep 1 or 2 trusted helpers, and everybody else -- out, out, out.

Daily na tayo ngayon, 4 days a week.
So, hindi  ko kayo kasambahay. Self-employed kayo.
No SSS, no 13th month pay, no Xmas bonus, no  etc etc etc... dating dito, surrender cellphone.
Do not eat breakfast here, by 9 naka breakfast na kayo.  At 6, out.... .do not shower here, do not eat here... Go home.
You are not my kasambahay -- daily wage earners kayo, self-employed ... No maternity leave with pay
No more 1 month vacation  pay, no more free transpo to & from province.
Eto - I don't need to keep your darn docs & 2x per month pay slips for 3 years.
Shucks with 7 helpers & 3 drivers, I gotta  hire an Admin Asst to manage the docs, payroll, remittances,  contracts etc etc. BS

Mga Sis, where will the helpers go?
Sa mga households ng foreigners & govt officials.
We, the middle class career/business people will have less opportunity than the foreigners to advance ourselves.  A lot of women will stop working to stay at home.  A lot of maids will go back to the provinces... Will there be enough  govt officials, artists & Foreigners to absorb the maids???

^Kaya nga eh. Haay saklap naman ng bill na ito. Sobrang dehado employer
And yup according to the bill, ganun na nga.

Hindi man lang naisip na hindi naman whole day may ginagawa maids lalo na kung ilan sila sa isang household

Regarding medical....  Sa sec 9
Malabo nga eh kasi may philheath and sss naman
If its medicines naman, anong scope?

Regarding yearly increase, wala naman sa bataa kung magkano, so increasan ko na lang piso per year
 :P

On medical shouldnt be related to work risks? Like si factory worker napit sa machinery while working, the employer shoulders medical for that. anything outside work wala pake si employer (I remember before when I was working mi had an officemate who had a major ACL tear. He got it while practicing for the basketball for the office pa-liga. The operation was not covered by put healthcard. And while the liga is a company sponsored activity, the practice was not. He had to shell out a quarter of a million for surgery. Mind you the guy is a new graduate with barely any savings to his name. Parents are not that well off too).

Naalala ko before here in GT one posted that she had a maid who had some minor chemical burns because of the peeling lotion she's using on her face. Paano yun sagot din ni ma'am? Correct me if I'm wrong philhealth kasi dapat minimum 24hrs hospitalization so def they wont cover this if emergency lang kayo. If that happened to me, if walang bill, I'll help out of humanitarian reasons but definitely she'll hear an earful from me. Pero with the bill, since I'm bleeding money left and right to accommodate all the requirements, im sorry iha I don't have anything to spare.
