sis chubbucheeks, i bought a wacoal bra at platinum mall for 450baht. there's a wacoal store there
sis dazzle, amari watergate is a 5 star hotel just accross platinum mall. next time i visit bangkok i might choose to stay there there's also grand diamond hotel just a few steps from platinum mall. other cheaper hotels are baiyoke sky, baiyoke boutique and baiyoke suites. walking distance lang din from platinum mall

I stayed at Amari Watergate last year.  For a five-star hotel, its rates are pretty reasonable.   Maraming selections sa breakfast buffet nila.

It is very accessible to  malls - Platinum, Central World and even Siam Paragon (there's a walkway from Central World to Paragon).

Sis wala pang baggage allowance yan. Tagal pa naman yung trip mag add na lang ako day before. Naka depende pa kase sa baggage allowance yung cash na baon ko.  Last time ganyan din ginawa ko 2 kami ni hubby pero baggage allowance 70kilos namin pauwi. nasarapan ako bumili  b1t1 na big bottles Listerine, j&j powder saka groceries sa Big C mga uwi ko nun, pati yung fanta strawberry sa 7-11 2 bottles inuwi ko.

sang ok na 3 star hotel in Pratunam area kaya?we'll be going for 5 days, I'm torn among these hotels, Blutique, Budacco, KC Place, Metz, Tango Vibrant.  I want near Platinum sana and clean hotel.

Has anyone tried booking a dinner cruise with hotels2thailand?  Their Chao Phraya Princess Cruise is only at 659 baht whereas it's 950 at orientalescape.  I wonder if it's legit?

Okay ba sa Baiyoke Suite or Boutique?
And san may cheap shipping? Last time kasi sa four seasons intl kami nagstay and meron sila shipping. pwede kaya kahit hindi dun magstay?

I'm also looking for a good cheap hotel in this area, have you tried KC Place? or Metz? Blutique? The last 2 I think are relatively new compared to KC Place.

Nakapagbook din ako during Piso Fare last Friday! 4 days 3 nights. Pero budget trip gagawin namin ng friend ko so naghahanap ako ng okay na hostel. May ma-suggest ba kayo? And kaya ba ng sched na mag day tour sa Krabi/Maya Bay/Phi Phi Islands? May nakita kasi ako na day tour 3000 baht dun sa Phi Phi Islands! I wanna see the beach din!

Sis, nakapagbook ako ng dinner cruise sa hotels2thailand, pero hindi yung chao phraya princess kundi yung grand pearl cruise. I think mas better nga yung Chao Praya mukhang mas lively yung mga andun, pero legit sila, what you see on their site is really the price

sa mga sis natin na nakapagpapalit ng THB dito sa Pinas, may marerecommend ba kayo kung saan maganda ang exchange rate? pa-pm na rin po contact number kung saan kayo nagpapalit...our Bangkok trip is in 3weeks time...wala available sa BDO malapit sa amin yung iba naman, grabe sa mahal...P1.5 = 1THB ang palitan...

just got back from BKK. let me share you my experience.

DAY 1: ARRIVAL (PLATINUM MALL, MBK)

We arrive @ around 4:30 and medyo mahaba yung pila sa imiigration pero hindi naman ganun katagal. siguro by 5:30 tapos na kame. We took the airport express link (hindi yung non stop) and paid 45 baht. We bought the tickets at the basement ata.

On board the train, parang Pilipinas ang first reaction namen. Pati yung mga kasabay namen sa train parang di namen madistinguish kung Thai ba o Pilipino. haha.We got off at the last station (Phaya Thai) and took the taxi na lang to our hotel. We booked at Bangkok city hotel which is quite near naman at the station.

Regarding the hotel, super ok sya kase it was cheap pero it doesn't translate cheap naman. The room and location was nice. Nakakaintindi at nakakapagsalita din ng konting english yung receptionist dun. The bellboy was nice and quite goodlooking too. haha. BTW, the hotel is near (about 10 min walk) to BTS Ratchatewi station so convenient siya.

After checking-in at around 6:30, we went straight to Platinum Mall since maaga nga ito nagsasara. Nilakad lang name siya from our hotel We were instructed that it was just a 10 minute walk pero maybe it took us 20 minutes to get there. haha. pero ok na din kasi gabi naman at di mainit. Mga 7:00 na kame nakadating sa Platinum but to our dismay, majority of the stores are already closed/about to closed. My companion manage to but a blazer though.

Since paclose na nga, we decided to explore it another day na lang. We decided to got to MBK by foot para maexplore na rin namen. Grabe super atong area nito yung magkakatabi na mall. From high-end to the street market. We decided not to go to the high end malls kase meron naman dito yung mga tinitinda dun. On the way to MBK mall, may night market na hilera sila. Super haba and super daming good finds. Parang nandito din ata yung mga tinitinda sa Platinum. The price is quite ok. I've manage to get 3 shirts for a total of 500 baht.

Upon reaching MBK, majo nadismaya kame kasi parang magulo yung layout and hindi namen masyadong trip yung mga tinda. Kaya we decided not to fully explore it na lang.

We decided to go back to the night market kase andami ngang good finds. Nagkawalaan kame nung kasama ko.haha. I took the BTS (Siam station) back to hotel @ around 11:30 pm and we finallyc alled it a day.

DAY 2: Chatuchak and Chao Praya Princess Cruise

We get up at around 7:00 am, ate breakfast and head out to see Chatuchak/jj market.

HOW TO GO TO CHATUCHAK: Take the BTS until MO CHIT station. pagkalabas niyo ng BTS, derederecho yun may walkway and head left. baba kayo ng walkway and dun sa unang street e make a left turn and then *poof* you're there.

We arrive at around 8:30 pero mejo marami pang stores na close kaya I think better kung pupunta kayo ng mga 10:30 am para lahat open na. Super nakakaoverwhelm yung market pero the good thing about it is organized sya na nakasegregate *** mga clothes,etc.. mejo mahirap lang balikan pag may nakita ka tapos nalagpasan mo.haha.May part dun na parang super magaganda yung sinesell na clothes kasi yung mga nagbebenta at *** nagpproduce so parang unique sya na dun mo lang makikita. The downside lang is mejo mahal yung mga tinitinda dun sa part na yun which ranges from 400-900 baht per piece. Pero there are other stalls naman na cheap yung mga tinitindang clothes kaya ok na din. Dito din kame namili ng mga souviner and pasalubong (mga elephant keychains,etc...) and super mura. Kaya I advised na dito kayo mamili ng mga ganun kasi I saw yung binili ko na 40 baht dito e 80 baht sa labas tapos I managed to got free ref magnet which cost 40 baht outside. bolabolahin mo lang yung tindero.haha.Super mainit and nakakapagod kasi nga malaki yung market. Don't forget your sunblock.

We went back to hotel at around 3:30...hindi na namen nagawang mag BTS kase mejo lalakarin mo pa from the market to the station e super saket na ng paa namen. We took the taxi to our hotel and paid 120 baht.

On Chao Praya Princess Cruise...
We booked this one through hotels2thailand.com kase nga mas cheaper dun and para less hassle na din. Ang mahirap lang e hanapin kung san mismo sya magoonboard. Umalis kame sa hotel at around 6:45 pm kase nag freshen up pa etc...

How to go to Chao Praya: Take the BTS until the SAPHAN TAKSIN station. Head left and makikita mo na yung mga parang port entry nila.

The tricky part is hindi pala dun yung magoonboard yung cruise pero sa river city pier pa. So to go there, you have to ride the express boat, pay 30 baht, get off at the 2nd stop. The tour starts at 7:45 pm (di na ata kame umabot sa 7:30 pm kasi ipapapalit pa pala namen yung printed confirmation from hotels2thailand to the real tickets.) May assigned seat numbers naman kaya no worries na walang mauupuan.

The cruise started on time naman, the food is okey but not superb. May entertainer din na hindi na naman namen madistinguish kung Thai of Filipino. The cruise is worth it! You get to see the grand palace,*** pho and *** arun at night, pati yung mga 5 star hotels. Masaya yung feel and at some point parang nakaEuropean cruise ako. Maybe it's just me.haha. Ang downside lang is marami kaming Indian kasabay so parang yung kinanta nung entertainer is mostly Indian pero carry lang.haha

The tour lasted until 9:30 pm. and we went back to hotel after that

mga sis baka may idea kayo how to commute going to pratunam area from the airport? parang namamahalan kase ako sa transfer rate ng myhotel na 1000thb one way e.. o ok na ba yon? tia

^use the mrt sis...from the airport, hanapin mo yung way na pasakay sa mga train...may mga tao dun na tutulong sa iyo kung san ka dapat bababa na station...lilipat ka pa kasi ng station for you to be able to go to pratanum...pero atleast it will only take you around 45 mins, compared kung mag-taxi ka...almost 2 hrs yata ang taxi, kung traffic...grabe ang traffic sa bangkok...so, use na lang the mrt...

^^sis yikee depende sa oras ng dating mo. pag umaga, may train pa yun. pero pag midnight yun dating nyo wala na train kasi hanggang 12mn lang daw yun. so ang option mo na lang is mag taxi (or papickup sa hotel service) from airport to hotel. gabi din arrival namin so walang choice kundi mag taxi.

Will go Thailand in March gusto sana namin manud ng cabaret shows, ask ko lang sana kung open pa yung <b>Mambo Cabaret?</b> I heard nag sara na sila before pero nag open uli in a different location. is this true? we would like to watch sana, they're much better daw compared to Calypso or Tiffany's or Alcazar..
