to all planning to apply as tfw, just make sure you are currently employed until such time you are granted the visa. CEM is very strict nowadays, they really do background checking. another, they now ask for sss contributions. dapat active ang contributions

depede which part of ontario. but if you are in the GTA, marami within a few kilometers from each other.

^depende yan sa pupuntahan na province. although syempre hindi guaranteed ang teaching job unless na lang nasa pilipinas ka pa lang eh nakakuha ka na ng work. although some say mataas ang teaching profession pagdating sa point system kaso pagdating ng canada eh hindi rin guaranteed na makakakuha ng job in line with the profession.

^sis sarsingkit, are you in Canada now? my hubby and i are planning to apply as immigrant. me, as the prinicipal applicant because hubby is currently on working visa na. prob is, my passport is still with my maiden name, but we are married. in my application, i stated there as married, but in the passport bears my maiden name, it will expire on 2016 pa. will this affect my application? i have,  my nso marriage contract, though as proof. also, is IELTS mahirap? i need to take IELTS kasi.. thanks to those who can reply..

^yes, nung sept 7 ako dumating. ok lang kahit maiden name ang passport pero sa application dapat maiden name pa rin ang nakalagay then indicate na lang that you are married. conisistent kasi dapat lahat ng forms and documents sa name that appears on the passport.

i will apply for immigrant visa sis. ayoko kasi mag sowp, or spouse visa. i cannot be put on tfw, cause i am not currently working, and the company na pinagttrabahuan ni hubby cannot give me an lmo. so, yun immigrant na lang. so sis, sa document that i will fill up at CEM, i will put there my maiden name but will indicate there as married.. thanks for the reply sis sarsingkit..

oo sis ganun nga, kahit maiden basta indicate that you are married. hindi naman din kasi talaga compulsary to change sa husband's last name. yung iba naman pagdating ng canada saka nagpapalit ng surname.

anong klaseng immigrant visa sis? provincial nominee ba? diba dependent kayo noon ng hubby mo? hindi daw ba pwede na parang to follow kayo?

How long does it usually take for a canadian permanent resident to petition a us permanent resident? My bf is in canada while im here in the US. We're planning to get married next year so he can process my petition as his wife. Thanks

^went through the same thing. got married in September. we submitted our application by end of January then we got the visa by 1st week of July. it is actually a  case to case basis. it may range from 3 months to 1 year or even more.  maraming factors why it could be approved fast and why there will be delays. goodluck!

Hi sis! hindi pa nakakaalis cousin ko  from Cleopatra Agency,i pu pull out na nga daw nya records nya dun kasi naka 30K na din sya ,pero nakapag train na sya sa Ortigas ang nag train canadian mismo, nag train sya para sa farm basta about sa pag aalaga ng Worms  diring diri nga sya kaso sabi ng canadian pag di mo hinawakan yan eh mahihirapan syang makakuha ng visa hehe. Yung family ko ang natuloy na nakaalis so far ok naman sila dun mukang happy naman sila at nag eenjoy sa weather

@sarsingkit sis, thanks for the reply. So you gave up your US permanent resident status when you moved to canada? Ive only been here in the US for 5months. We were thinking na sana i would petition him na lang but the waiting time for him to get a us visa is such a long wait.

^sorry sis, i am not a US PR. i was assuming na sa Pinas kayo magpapakasal and mag-aapply because it is relatively faster sa manila visa office compared to that sa US. anyway, its not to insult the United States, pero mas maganda pa rin ang social security services ng Canada. i think ha.

@sarsingkit  sis i know. And the health care is so much better in canada. Kaya lang im processing my papers here to be a nurse. And its much easier to be a nurse here in the us than in canada. Kaya malaking dilemma talaga. San po kayo in canada sis? My boyfriend is in vancouver. I went there last august and i fell in love with place. It's such a beautiful city.
