Ano ang response ninyo, sis? I mean, can you really vouch that you can afford to shoulder the $350,000 and all?

We made a very detailed plan on how we'll raise her without seeking help from the govt of Canada, daily basis and all, plus how we'll earn that 35,000$/year or 1,000$ / day. Good thing may nursing home ang tito ko dun na pwede mag 24/7 kaya we have no problems on that. hopefully, theyll approve our plan

Yes sis. It's for the future of my other siblings, as well.  Ill prove to them that in any way, SPECIAL CHILDREN WILL NEVER be a burden to the publicly funded Health Care and Social Services of The Government of Canada. However, if their decision will be in the contrary, sana they'll consider the life and future of us.

In our ideal world, a family should always be together. I now pray that their heart and mind will guide them in their decision. Just keeping the faith. Thank you for that! Well appreciated!

Goodmorning mga sis! update lang about our case, kasi diba may special sister ako Cerebral Palsy, sumulat samin [textspeak!] consul, inexplain samin expenses ng ate ko na aabot ng around $350,000 /year daw ang ate ko, and all itemized expenses a day. sulat daw kami na kaya namin sya buhayin dun and all. so, we'll write a response letter na asap. sana after namin sumulat, mabilis agad response nila so we can start our next step, whether approved or denied. anyway, God is good all the time!:D

^^ i think 4 years pwede na mag-apply ng citizenship. same lang naman ng benefits except yun nga hindi pwede mag-vote and of course Philippine Passport pa rin ang hawak na passport

3years. But if she got her PR status thru live-in caregiver, then she has only two more years na bunuin to apply for a citizenship.

Whaaaat?!  She's studying as a caregiver?  Baka care-aide. Or health care assistant.

if you're single and kaka-citizen mo lang, ang pwede mo lang makuha na relative/s mo eh parents mo lang. not kapatid, pinsan, tyahin. but you must have something to show that you can support them.

if you're married and a citizen, ganun pa rin. 

pero what the immigration is giving na lang to parents/grandparents eh 'supervisa'-- parang tourist visa lang angd ating pero mas mahaba ang expiry at renewable. i am not exactly sure kung iniisyuhan pa rin sila ng pR status.

there is a temporary pause on sponsorship applications for parents and in turn the govt will issue a super visa. yes, its a tourist visa with i think 10yrs validity. but the children who will sponsor must also provide a medical insurance for the parents which can be a bit costly.
